Hello, that video matches pretty good my experience with the mini Kamado … took about 2:00 to get the „bird“ ready. Greets from Germany 👍

Congratz! You’re video’s made it to the wonderful kingdom of The Netherlands! Love the baby kamado! Own one myself 😊. My wife is a vegetarian so you probably understand the need for a small kamado. Keep up the good work! Loving every video!

Thank you ! The only problem I had was my Thermometer reading at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit too low on my Mini Kamado , I checked my bird after 45 minutes and it was Charred just as dark as can be . When I probed the chicken the temperature was way over what it considered done . I almost threw it in the trash . Next day I scraped the burnt skin off and of course I had to try a piece and it was still Tender , Juicy and Delicious . I couldn't believe it ! These Kamado grills hold in the flavor and juices in the meats . My Temperature reading was 250 to 275 degrees Fahrenheit but it was reading low . I want to try to find one that is accurate . Thank you for the video and your comments and I know that yard bird was delicious . These Kamado grills are worth every penny .

It’ll be hard for kamados, the dome gauge will read lower then the grate because it’s so far away from there. There are also other factors like outside ambient temperature, distance of heat diffuser to grill level, thickness of ceramics. I recommend waiting a while for the ceramics to absorb the heat and using a grate level gauge or electrical thermometer you trust. For me, my larger kamado reads a difference of 20-30 degrees, and my kamado joe jr has a difference of around 10-15 degrees.

I bought my rt-700 with more confidence based off your video's from years past. However with just the wife and myself at home I've been eyeballing these. Appreciate the content!

How do you start the charcoal and how long do you let it burn before it’s ready to cook?

I just got one of these,
It's using charcoal so it could be smoked/oven cooked.
I've been watching videos of these kamados all day and they can do everything.

Funny that by Dutch standards, these mini kamado's are suitable for 3-4 people while in the US it's concidered suitable for 1-2 people...
