- Showing off the bad ending for The Future Past 3 DLC. This ending is obtained when at least one of the child characters, not including Lucina, is killed in battle.
Story & Ending: • Fire Emblem Awakening ...
Game being played is Fire Emblem Awakening for the Nintendo 3DS.
A very rare bad ending that adds to the depth of Robin's personality.
Agreed the best part of that line was when he was asked if he was human by Lucina and he said No I'm not human I wish I was human but I'm not the saddest line proving that this Robin has all his memories as apposed to our MU
Archus orez robin lost his memories because grima come from the future so in that world robin didnt lost his memories but it get ogg when you thing in he meeting the sheppards
You can really see that Robin is in pain... He hates what he as caused and wants nothing more for it to end. You can also tell he truly misses his friends
This makes me wish Robin wasn’t just simply an Avatar character with this depth
@@justaprinny9940 r/engrish
I love how they realize it's Robin, that they can't see because of the black fog that surrounds him and that his voice is altered so they don't recognize his voice until he's able to freely speak. Instead of knowing it's him from the start.
Lucina said that Robin's voice sounds painfully familiar. This means that she does know Robin, and was likely close to him, so in her heart, very deep down, she knows that its the same person, but she cannot save Robin and thus has to kill him to end his misery, which she resolves to after Grima returns to sleep.
Axis You can recognize a person's voice even if you don't know them. Babies are after all, built to recognize facial features and voices I'm pretty sure. being as Robin and Chrom are close friends, it'll make sense that Lucina has seen Robin a few dozen times. But Chrom did die during Lucina's youth and Robin disappeared so she never got to know him personally. The only thing she can recognize is the familiarity of his voice
Thank you! I was so confused when they were like "Why is your voice so familiar?" XD
This ending proves it Robin is officially a Dragon though more of a different version than a manakete he's more of a full fledge dragon than the sealed ones Manakete
Though in one of the support conversation with Tiki, she mentions his aura is like the hero-king Marth, as in the same kind of soul. There is that mystery of how the avatar/Robin was born as this character has no memory, since Validar is the father.
I'm thinking they (Grimleal) created a vessel from magic and a soul similar to Marth may have possessed it, but this vessel was linked to Grima while the soul (mind) belonged to itself.
dra6o0n Isn't his mother actually mentioned in the game? I'm pretty sure Validar tells you that his mother ran away with him, or something...
The mum is the real MVP. took the antichrist and nurtured their soul into one that resembles the greatest hero of the land. one that witstands housing the embodiment of evil and still retains its goodness. thats some impressive parenting.
3:20 the " I wish i were human! That I could have lived a normal life with you!" line, take s so much more significance if you marry the two characters in your realm.
Agreed homie, thats what happened here to me.
Yep
@Rustymcnut somehow... it really feels like a painful shot to the gut hearing that, bringing out the feels
Or if what was Fem! Robin it could be wishing to have been a normal part of her daughter's life.

Yes that too.
And in this timeline, Grima is sent to Askr to serve the Order of Heroes along with Lucina. Lol

1:27 the dialogue between the avatar and Lucina is so serious until he says "...ya." X'D

@Motoko Chancloset when the characters are canonically straight? ok
I wouldn’t mind if they stayed friends or turned out to be in love with each other. 👏
Shut up, Naga. You *_always_* have to punish yourself for letting your team die. It's what you get for not min-maxing your social links hard enough.
Speedwagon_Corporation clearly she is a fire emblem casul.
+Andrew Wang damn she needs to grind
+Dare King "Grind on me starts playing in the background."
That is the fate of gods. They are divine beings that can only try to help through some small means, but they can never directly interfere. Gods essentially restrict themselves so that the balance of things aren't thrown out. Its like in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, Yuko the Dimensional Witch is extremely powerful, but she states many times that she cannot go beyond the level of interference that she is permitted to. When Ashura called that out on her, Yuko stated in response that if such restrictions didn't exist, then everything would fall to ruin or something along those lines.
DarkEternal6 Yes, I am aware, but her powers is like a god's. Even other powerful beings like Anankos call her a god, and Anankos is also revered as a god. The fact that Naga is able to even perform time travel and send so many children to the past without reality collapsing because of the taboo of time was something that even left Anankos in awe, as he admitted.
Also, it isn't that Naga is weakened at all, cause we clearly see that her power hasn't waned. But what I'm saying is that she's been set boundaries that she herself isn't permitted to violate, like some rules set up.
I really want to buy this DLC now- the entire "Robin is Grima" plot point is just so much deeper with Fe!MU having married Chrom.
Not really, the plot of this dlc will be the same, regardless who you pair-up with. The only thing change is the conversation with the children characters. Since I preferred mixing up my pairings to see how they change the children's lives from who parents is.
Yeah, it doesn't change if your MU married Chrom or not (except for child conversations). Grima in my game said my m!MU loved Chrom, I'd say that's pretty deep.
I don't see how much deeper it would be if FeMU is married to Chrom? In all honesty I think people just find it romantic that Chrom cares so much for his tactician wife. To me though, I like it better when Chrom is just a very good friend to the avatar. Cause it shows he isn't being caring out of romantic love but out of friendship, which honestly is something being overlooked by many in this game.
Julie Ng I agree with you as well. I just find chrom & MU's relationship is very friendship, even though I find chrom a little too attach to MU. I really like two people being as great friends, like in FE: path of radiance of Ike & Soren. I really like Ike & Soren's friendship of how much Ike caring about Soren so much.
"In all honesty I think people just find it romantic that Chrom cares so much for his tactician wife."
that and people find some so-called "evidences" to back of their ship. like when Chrom marry FeMU without a ring, having a "special" scene with lucina in chapter 21 (even though it will be the same with MaMU, if he marry Lucina.) and the "we are two halves as whole" thing ( even though chrom said to MaMU as well, and in FE12 Marth said that as well to MU, even though Marth is in engaged with Caeda.) basically people will ship anything they see. as for me, I'm not really obsession with shipping or OTP, except FE4 which I like how they did with the romance. I just wish the shipping war will be kept minimum in Fire emblem, if it weren't for FE13 that let you marry your units to make out of portion, even with yourself...
Dark Obsidian exactly! I just feel that if Chrom marries FeMU, everything turns out to be some family drama and it makes Chrom some guy who's overly attached to his wife. I'm also a friendship over romance kind of person, but I guess many people don't see it that way. They're like "if two people are so close, they must be in love!". No, they can care for each other as friends, can't they?
Lol! Why do some people use the fact that Chrom doesn't give a ring to FeMU as evidence that FeMU x Chrom is canon? If anything, it just goes against the pairing. And yeah, the evidence they give is either dumb or desperate. Sometimes, i just wish they either have male MaMU as a default character or let Chrom marry a default woman. Yeah see I'm not into OTPs either and even if I do it's just kept to my head. I do like to hear how others pair but when it comes to these canon wars it really makes me sick. Poor Sumia gets a lot of hate cause of how IS is pushing the pairing. People really need to control their OTP rage better.
The Robin possessed by Grima sounds so broken. I mean, anyone would be after being made a prisoner in their own body and forced to watch as their friends and family die by their hand, but still. Robin is the best avatar because of details like this. They feel like their own character, rather than just your vessel to view the world through. (the irony of the word 'vessel' was unintentional)
That’s why I miss real MCs with real growth and personalities. Robin may have been customizable but he is so much realer than mary sue corrin and Byleth
@@firenze6478 They have never come even close to matching Robin, imo.
Alear is back on the right track
@@davidtowers1863 Agreed. They're better than the last few
@@dragonstorm0888 Supports can be kind of dull but I like they are actually willing to tell people they're being dumb. Theres a lot more sass than the two between them and robin
Especially male Robin and Chrom have such a strong friendship and then to think how he is pleading his best friends daughter to kill him is just ... ouch
I felt so freaking bad for Robin here... But yes overall I definitely loved this DLC, and in some ways I liked it more than Awakening's actual final story arc. Not to say I hated that one, but I just found this to be far more engaging if you get where I'm coming from.
HylianBelmon
you found it more fire emblem engage-ing
Man, the fact that he is prisoner inside of his own body, and the fact that he blames himself for what Validar helped bring about. I just can't😭
I know that the game ultimately doesn't end like this, but knowing that this could have been everyone's destiny makes me so sad. I love this DLC so much...
"Can I save you if I defeat Grima?"
"No~" xD
They Told Me I Could Become Anything, So I became an Eggplant
Yeah I died at that
The future past concept can be used for like....a whole game. Time travel in general, i mean, imagine going back in time and recruiting the real Marth for real. I love Awakening so much. I put myself in a weird spot though. I'm not skilled enough at Lunatic yet to beat it, but I'm too easy-going with Hard to care about training up my whole team. I love this game. I'm rambling.
Fire Emblem: Why Am I Crying In The Club Rn
I remember beating this game and getting my characters op af but cannot remember the story at all. It was a great game, probably the best game i played for the 3ds but when it comes to the story im lost, lol maybe its my memory going bad.
So, in other words, the canon ending in the main story is to have you deal the finishing blow rather than Chrom.
If you don't understand what I mean, think about it. If you deal the finishing blow in the final chapter of the main story, Grima goes to sleep like he does here. Then, he wakes up in the future, which causes the events of The Future DLC, including motivating Lucina to send Grima to the past so Chrom can rescue his good self, leading to the events of Awakening.
So, in other words, if you let Chrom defeat Grima in the main story, you doom the world.. Grima doesn't wake up and cause the events I mentioned and Lucina never sends the main protagonist back, so they don't exist in the past, but Grima still exists in the past as he hasn't died yet. The Shepherds don't have their tactician anymore, so they'd end up failing somewhere, which leads to Grima destroying everything.
If you weren't confused through all that, I commend you, good sir/lady. Even I ended up confusing myself halfway through.
Finnley Ellis Time Travel is weird
@@enclinker7951 The mark was called the fell brand(like how chrom have the brand of the exalt, but different for robin as he/she is a fell blood)
Its actually quite simple. If chrom finished grima, it sets up this DLC, which will cause a time paradox removing robin from the equation. As grima robin goes back in time in the main story and is already present as he never died and good robin himself cannot go back in time like lucina did, that's why he's out of the picture. Without him, she shepards would've been royally screwed the moment they needed to pull something big like emmeryn's rescue. Also love how even after lucina lost all her friends she still at least tries to get robin back.
@@wholesome_masochist4113 hold on, i thought if the exalt finishes grima he sleeps for like a thousand years?
@@pyrunix3640 yeah he does. He then goes back in time to this dimension first thing once he wakes up
To me i believe this is the most saddest ending besides Xenoblade and the other ending for this game when Robin expresses his regrets and sorrows. Because I'm still crying knowing how much he suffered and how this timeline for him ended up... It is depressing and yet happy in its own way.
Don’t think of this as a sad ending. It really is a happy ending. Through this, I believe we see how the Robin we play got to be in the field at the beginning of awakening got to be where he was. I believe Lucina honored her promise to save Robin by sending them back to Chrom after defeating the fell dragon in the future past timeline.
We then get to the main game where Robin awakens severely weakened from their final confrontation with Lucina, and because of this, Grima from the other future was unable to merge with him and they lose their memories from the shock of the attempted merge.
When Lucina and the other children come to the past from another timeline, Grima follows and possesses the body of the awakening timeline’s Robin. This should erase any contradictions (at least the ones I could come up with) arising from these proposed events.
Wait Theory- what if Grima!Robins situation is similar to Byleths and Sothis? Robin was born with Grima- and the fell dragon sits on a throne inside Robin. Grima eventually fully takes over Robin, such as Rhea wanted sothis to so with Byleth...
At least Sothis wasn’t evil like Grima, good thing for Byleth.
@@TheJaredPunch Grima isn't inherently evil though, simply fallen into madness as many dragons had before. It is one of the lesser reflected on themes of several Fire Emblem games but the dragon's condition, and seeming inevitable creep toward madness results in most of the tragedies we face during those entries. Yet not once has their been a story yet where the cast is able to figure out a way to help any of the dragons, indeed the saddest truth here in awakening with Grima is that if you take Future past Robin literally then once upon a time Grima's personality would have been just like Robin's, the smug but playful and caring sort.
@@SolusLupi I guess that’s one way to see it.
@@SolusLupi Except in echoes, if you traverse thabes labyrinth you learn about the birth and development of grima. Grime’s own creator, an evil psychotic necromancer, was scared of how evil grima was. I can understand the dragons madness worsening grima’s nature, but he was evil to begin with.
@@SolusLupi In a lot of Fire Emblem games the dragons are worshipped as gods. It never even occurs to the cast that the dragons are in need of help because the dragons are supposed to be divine beings. It’s truly sad. Seteth and Flayn give me some hope, though. They’re pretty normal for dragons.
I think what went wrong is that the dragons don’t sleep for long enough. They have to sleep for at least one millennium, but it leaves them vulnerable to being attacked (like in Sothis’ case) so a lot of them just choose to stay awake. It causes a lot of mental deterioration from sleep exhaustion, though. That’s my theory. Sothis, Flayn, and Seteth are only normal because they actually make/made sure they got plenty of sleep.
"I wish I were human! That I could have lived a normal life with you!"
I know this is support to be a heartwrenching moment, but wasn't the Robin in this timeline a full grown adult (or at the very least 15 years old) when Lucina was born?
I'd say about 17, and 18 when Lucina is born. But this Lucina, and the one in SSB4 are ~16 due to the large jump in time across her timeline compared to Awakening's default timeline due to the rise of Grima.
I don't think he is referring to Lucina in this case, as romantic as that would be, it wouldn't fit in this timeline for the reasons you pointed out. I think he meant human beings in general, specifically the shepherds.
Zachatastic 117 I think Lucina is closer to 19 actually. I found a website where someone took Laurent's age and did something with it to find Lucina's. They said she's from 18-20.
Robin's age also varies by body type.
You can make him shorter like a younger Robin, or make him look similar to Gregor.
Wait ... so is this canon?
Morgan retreats and is sent into their dimension and Lucina sends Robin into their dimension too, so he can set his good part free?
Look at 4:46 and the conversations between Morgan and the Avatar in the Future Past ... holy fuck ... they're the same people!
the mu is from og chrom's world
the reason he ended up without memories is explained in the story
spoilers I guess:
mu who is now grima returns to the past similarly to Lucia and co.
A failed attempt to basically merge with the pat's mu caused them to lose their memories
it really sucks since you can just imagine Robin having a nice stroll then suddenly he just faints and wakes up with no recollection of anything ever except for like one fight which he hasn't done yet
Yeah, you're right.
But that still leaves Morgan, you know?
Der Slendy about morgan, the morgan of our timeline is the same as the one from the future past timeline.
do note that there are 3 timelines, the present one, lucina's future and the future past.
while it is not stated morgan comes from this timeline, it is hinted in another dlc.
remember how the avatar gave fp morgan a book ?
in one of the scramble dlc (can't remember which one)
Morgan finds out that he own 2 copies of this same book.
One comes from the present while the other is the one we gave him in tfp.
*+hubz900* Yeah, I was completely aware of that.
It had my jaw drop when I first saw this.

This is sad its really sad like for real man. Fates is nothing compared this (besides killing off good characters)
Once again stuff like this goes to show that some people who are literally consumed by their supposed "destiny" wish for it to change, that they could be the better person they dreamed to be. When I first played this saw this part, I cried. As much as I hate to cry I did cause I felt for my character and the others. also I kinda think I spelled destiny wrong so please don't harp on me about that.
This is just so sad... :'-(
I will give you the default answer I give everyone else who asks.

No problem, I'm used to it, it's not like it's the first time.
?
Does this explain how the Robin you play gets transported to another timeline?
WHOA I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAG
Wow
+Ashlyn Hicks No, it was stated that Validar's wife (Robin's mom) took Robin away so Robin wouldn't become Grima. Then when Grima of the future learned of Lucina travelling back in time to alter the future, he did the same except at an earlier time and tried to take control of Robin of the present but realized that Robin wasn't ready and just wiped his/her memory instead.
+Noah van Cadsand This is why I intend to make a fanfic regarding Robin's past and such.
***** While I disagree since Robin is more of a vessel for Grima, bearing the Heart of Grima, I guess they are more or less the same being, because only Robin can truly kill Grima, which is like Grima killing himself.
The other Robin is just standing there while everyrhing happen
Robin has the most tragic backstory ever he/she never knew his/her mom and forgot about Lyn and the others and even he didn't got the chance to see Roy and Lillina as his/her godmother/father and his father was using him/her

I'd call this the sad ending rather than the bad ending.
My... feels... why... *sniffle*

(Male) Robin insists and confesses to Lucina that he's Grima, who's a sealed dark dragon in a thousands of years slumber to bring destruction to the world. He's convincing her to wield her blade Falchion, which was once wielded by her father Chrom, to give a strike of a final blow on him, which he is a vessel and Grima's weakness. When the time is right, till then she'll succeed, but it'll only cost a life of her husband her lover (Male) Robin alongside with Grima in him as well. She heard what he said she has no choice but to accept the task and that's what he wants her to do. Even he's in control of Grima, but not for long that he's a dragon with a might of brute force mind. She knows it'll bring pain to her but she must endure it, she must believe and have faith on herself and the others instead of (Male) Robin. So he departed away from his wife Lucina and will look foward the day she will succeed her fight with Grima but not alone and he will happy to know it's going be all right with a smile without any fear and regrets cause he'll know for sure he has made a promise her that he'll come back sometimes somedays maybe no matter it takes longer time.
"It's so sad but I hope Lucina will understand that (Male) Robin has been going through a lot just like she have and things will be different another time." (Sigh)

Wow... This is the explanation of how all events in awakening occurred... Your story... How you and Lucina come to love each other.. Everything
Lol XD Its a different dimension, another reality. It isn't the same exact one that the Lucina we play came from. But yeah, the Lucina x Robin shipping here is VERY heavy, and I love it. Such a beautiful tragic romance.
Ah yes. This is a rare to access one and really adds emotion to Robin's character and his relationshipp to Chrom and even Lucina to an extend
So, what would happen if you were the mother of Lucina? Would the dialogue change much? Just wondering, since I married Chrom.
No
It's an alternate universe so the Grima will ALWAYS be Robin with basic MU body, so it would not matter.
Chasticot / Chast Actually, Grima will always mirror your MU in appearance. As the game points out, they are one and the same.

Hey what if I told you what really happened to your avatar. Am sure a lot of you think this is a terrible ending and also the good ending as well but your in a timeline where lucina never went back and you can even use the lucina from your world and the robin/avatar that died is not the one that went there he was sent back as well no matter what ending. the robin in that timeline was the one who lucina killed in the good. ending the robin/avatar is very much alive and well with chrom and the others.
Depression.
If grima killed inigo severa and owain hen how the heck are they in fates?
AU?
Inigo severa and owain are from a different world
In this DLC, if I remember correctly, Naga sends Chrom and the others to an alternate timeline where Lucina and the other children never traveled back in time. In other words, the Inigo, Owain, and Severa that die are different people entirely than the three that are in Fates.

I love Female Grima in Fire Emblem Heroes. I had no idea they were so human-like and I beat Awakening's main story, Paralogues, and the Future Past. I never saw this.
in one of her quotes F!Grima says how she would live with the summoner, among humans, but doesen't because she thinks she can't. Heroes did a fantastic job at giving Grima more character other than the "I'm an evil god and hate hoomans" Awakening gave them, despite only having 5 quotes and 1 dialogue to do so.
Best game on the 3DS no doubt!

No, this takes place in the Future Past 3 DLC where you have to defend an alternate version of Lucina, Severa, Laurent and Gerome. If at least one of them dies, you get the bad ending.
Goosebumps.
So grima and robin is one
So, is Grima a second personality or is Robin the second personality and he's really a dragon like Nowi?

your welcome.... I know Lucina in the video doesn't want to finish Grima, cause your part of him..
Yeah... It's sad...
i don't know what's worse, this or the conflict with Anikos in Fates
They are both pretty sad admittedly. Although I think I liked Anankos a bit more than Grima as a character overall though.
But that's only if you consider the -paywall- DLC. Without it, Anankos is a terrible, 1 dimensional antagonist
+Yolarse I still think the Anankos you go up against in Rev chapter 27 still has more of a personality than Grima did. Which is kinda sad but yeah. Still, Anankos ties with Medeus for my favorite Dragon villain in the series.
Yea I guess you have a point there. Personally, I think Anankos had the potential to be the best antoganist of the series, but IS botched it really badly and put what could have been behind a paywall.
if I were the other Robin, I would've just ran myself onto the blade to help end it already, instead of prolonging it
well...............without a body the, power might be weakened.........?

+Jacqueline Diaz I think i can mention more than 5 groups , monters and people named hydra in all of fiction... soooo which one?
+Dank Potatoes Pretty sure he means Hydra from Fire Emblem Fates. I'd have to say Hydra, though.
+Rathorage Well, Hydra (or Anankos as he's called in the English version) certainly shows off more power than Grima does. But Grima is basically Dragon Satan if Hydra is the Dragon God, so it's possible that they may be on the same power level, but we never got to see Grima's dragon form do much of anything so there's no way to really compare the two.
Anankos, since he doesn't let Corrin and his army go buy weapons before fighting him unlike trims where he would wait for a long time for Chrom lol
It's really hard to tell. Both Grima and Anankos/Hydra can rise the dead so they can do their bidding and both are on godly levels. DISCLAIMER: IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE UPCOMING FATES DLC THAT IS SIMILAR TO THE FURUTE PAST SPOILED DO NOT READ
In the Recollection of Bubbles DLC (the plot is similar to the Future Past, the parents failed in stopping Anankos so it is up to the children to save the world) Anankos was shown to have taken over multiple parallel versions of the Fates world, so considering that Anankos was a multiuniversal threat I would say Anankos is superior to Grima
I am confused? On everything, what's going on. Why was grima in human form?
+SpartanPikachu This is DLC and Focuses on a different timeline with Grima possessing MU and it is up to Lucina and others to kill Grima.Your army helps them but if you can't save one or more of the Lucina's friends it will end like this.
Can this only be obtained in classic mode?
ROBIN MY SON OH MY GODS
This is making me sad..
Lucina can't remember Robin..
-tells Lucina everything-
-Lucina sobs-
-pats Lucinas back- It's going to be fine..
-summons Robin-
-Lucina and Robin hug eachother-
:)
This is the best end
This is not as bad as I anticipated
*_grabs robin_*
iM sorry Lucina, but I play you in smash.
*_runs away with robin_*
whats the song when grim and lucina are conversing?
Id (Sorrow)
+Veronica Lopez thank you
Rena Altair You're welcome. :)
+Veronica Lopez Basically the sadder version of Id (Purpose)
Celestial Light All of the songs with "Id" in it are just alternate renditions of each other. There's also "Id (Serenity)", for example.
And now it is impossible to buy this.
Thanks Nintendo…
I’m so confused
I think he is possessed by grima, but lucina CANT KILL HIM (Robin), ok i just confused myself even more,
Someone explain
I just want lucina x robin forever
*•モモ•* Lucina can’t kill him in the bad ending because the other children haven’t arrived with the gemstones, so she can’t activate the fire emblem to kill Grima.
This is confusing, Robin and Grima are sort of merged together as one and Robin is the one speaking to Lucina? Is that it?
BronwynP Leonard yes.
kind of. It's like Robin and Grima are 2 different personalities, with Grima being the one usually in control. When their body is weakened enough, Robin can speak freely, thought Grima will still try to oppose them. It's better to think of Grima and Robin as 2 different entities
Id Sorrow should have started playing with Robin took control back from Grima.
It did.
Oh, I meant in the original game, not here.
+Cole Austin oh I see, sorry about that. My B
I guess you get this ending if some of your characters die?
Ah shit why dose grima looks like Robin Grima is a avitar and Grima is a FUCKING DRAGON! How could a dragon look like the Avitar ?!
Fire emblem z: legend of lucina
