I put two wraps of black electrical tape right over the seam of the wiffle balls. makes them heavier so they go a little farther and they last a lot longer before they break in half. doesn't change the way they show the spin or the flight feedback. Try it.
THanks. That's an interesting approach. But mine fly all the way to the end of the lawn if I swing fully. While wiffle balls indeed seem to break after a while, I rather buy a new set of balls (just did that) than have them fly farther, into the bushes.. :)
I would guess that with the foam ball the lower part gets compressed by the angled club face so that the club moves further under the ball propelling it upward.
Interesting idea, but the holes create airflow turbulences that slow the ball and shorten the flight. That would no longer work if there was foam inside. But apparently there are other balls too, more like ping-pong balls that are solid and seem to work too. Have not seen them in a shop yet.
@@GolfTesla Indeed. It was implicit however, although not stated explicitly that the holes would be drilled/routed in the final stage of manufacturing. Whether pass through from one side to the other completely or only partially. Reducing ball flight as much as possible while retaining some of the feel and response of a real golf ball is the ultimate objective.
was that a real ball? I can well imagine that your heart stopped for a second when that happened (happened to me too) Try waffle balls, less of scare and less damaging to windows or cars..
Very informative and what a lovely garden to practice in! Keep them coming 😊
Thanks !

thanks I am glad this video was of some use to you.
Exactly what i needed to know, thanks.
You need to try " Almost golf balls " they are a hard foam golf balls and will go over 80 yards. They feel and look just like a real golf ball.
Thanks for the advice. But 60 yards is too far for most gardens. Thr 10-12 yards max for wiffle balls seems just right
Great video sir. Very informative, helped me decide which to go with
Thanks a lot (writing from my other channel)

Going to the park to try the waffle ball thanks for the tutorial bro 😊😊😊
Hope you’ll enjoy the experience.
Thank u 🙏
It was great

That is well possible. Thanks for your comment. Anyway, I have not used the foam balls again since my test in the garden.
Nice editing!
Thanks
thanks
Nice video very informative! What are you using for you ball base?
A simple door mat. But try to find a sturdy one with a rather stiff rubber base..
there are better brands. I like the orange balls
Thanks. I'll look out for them, but in my region in Europe there is not a huge choice..
Put a foam core inside a wiffle ball and restore the holes? Best of both worlds?

@@zoktoberfest Ah, now I get it. Make foam balls that have airflow holes.. Maybe a marketable idea...
Sailed a ball above my net with a 56. I was probably 3 feet in front of it. 😂hit neighbors awning

@@GolfTeslaabsolutely was a real ball 😂 I went and bought wiffles the next day.
@@jeyjey5741 good decision...
So many WORDS!!!
Indeed. You are right. I don’t script these kinds of videos and the risk is to talk too much. Will try to be more concise in future videos.
