My key thing is have confidence in your decoys have confidence in your calling not all geese sound the same. Take your time when you take your shot don't rush yourself especially on windy days big geese won't flare like little geese do.

Good info on sleeper shells.i live in utah and when the temp gets below 20 degrees. Geese will start flying when temperatures reach 20. The first thing geese will do when they land, is lay down and melt the snow. I have 2 dozen and I use them in cold weather. Like he said you have to try different set ups.to see if it works. Or when you find geese in the field. Take the binoculars. Watch them and see what they are feeding. In 2021 and 22. Are started to reli on my decoys. And let them work the spread, to land closer. It played out great.
I've used a snow goose call to get big honkers I think it's something different than what they are use to.
