I think he had a pretty brutal crash in the finals :/ the snow was melting pretty fast this year, which made the beginning a real bitch if you were not in the top 3

There are a lot of tourists in this race. It was more difficult but with a good yelling that's all okay. These lost sheeps run away on the side track fastly. Good performance and effort.

One of the best qualifying race so far, yelling at those back markers was justified ...but just a word of "Thanks" as you passed them would have been great. Will be looking out for you in the finals. All the best. 👍
Mate it was all I had in my lungs to shout at them to move. Last year two guys were in the way and refused to move, which I why I was so explicit this time around. When I posted this video I added the "thank you" to the back markers in the description, incase I'd upset anyone 😉
@@JackReadingMTB I don't know the protocols, but I'm little surprised the fans and monitors aren't warning these bikers that an actual race pack is coming up behind them.

I took a big crash on the glacier in my race run mate! I need to do an edit from it. The crash went fairly viral you may have seen it
Sub-16 is awesome with a crash on the plateau!
I asked this on your other vid but will ask it here as well: why do you think the times were so fast this year? The course, or just people upping their game?

Not really sure mate… I’ve only done the qually once before (from this start) which was last year and I think I did a similar time. Maybe people are going faster lower down the field though and level as a whole is lifting 🤷♂️

You did 17.11 last year according to TimingZone (sorry for geeking). This video would seem to suggest that you did it in 17 mins dead though. Either RUclips has cocked up the frame rate conversion to slow you down, or all the times this year are off by a minute...🧐
Edit: further geek detective work makes me think the official times are indeed off. 17 mins flat with a crash and more snow than last year is still pretty blinding BTW! But it's bad news for me, as I didn't improve much at all from last year 😔
