It makes sense that the majority would choose Olivia in the end who unlike the others had nothing to live for and had nothing to lose in opening the portal. Alex also wasn't kidding that her future would be uncertain since if Riley denies her wish to be with her parents, she basically leaves Camena and alienates Violet and Charlie.
This actually explains the loop at the end of the first game and gives a strange but satisfying end to the series though it doesn’t give that mysterious repeatability that the first one had at the end like how Alex when explaining what happens after they left the island then repeats to how the night started going to the island if that makes any sense
The story isn't really cut out for multiple sequels, so I'm glad they didn't just trapped the MC in a time loop again (Hell, you can even choose to enter one yourself in the ending). Would be unnecessarily bleak imo This game is a nice closure to me.
Anyone got that Nick Quest with the backpack to work when you try to finish it after being in the cave? I cannot interact with the backpack nor call Nick
Is there a fix for the machine bug in this game? I don't see the puzzles in the machines on Android, but I managed the right one by copying the dial positions here. But the left one at 31:51 doesn't work

And although They could have spent some more time working on Alex, I still feel like it really came through at the end.
If anyone is stuck trying to change the dials on the emf readers on android, the fix is use a stylus. I'm on a Samsung tablet and when I switched to the Samsung stylus it worked. Android version is free with Netflix subscription
@@abbyfaith1800 can you get one of the cheap Bluetooth stylus for a tenner, it might work. Might be worth contacting them to add to the pile of 'please fix this'

Was having the same problem on switch there was a few times the B button just would.not. w o r k. And I would have to close out of the game and replay from my last auto save 💀
I'm at the part where you have to place the 3 transmitters at 3000 feet and no idea where to go and slowly walking around the same drbs environments is boring. What a letdown from the first game this is

With the studio being backed by Netflix I'd assume they have much greater means hopefully won't take 7+years for a 3rd release

Burnhouse Lane is a good shout. Also take a look at What Remains Of Edith Finch - Not quite like this game but it's still an excellent indie game.
