@@manifestationsofasort Oof. That doesn't sound like play, though! Also, contrary to popular belief, cats are social animals, so it'll help for her to have a kitty friend when you're not around.
Tip I learned a few years ago which has been awesome: Give them water elsewhere in the house than next to their food. Cats hate drinking near their food. I have a bowl in the shower and a bowl on the kitchen counter several feet away from the food, and I fill the bathroom sink whenever one of the kitties asks for it. It's done wonders to prevent dehydration!
Adding extra water to wet food also helps a lot. It's especially good in the pate style of food, squish it around a bit in water and is mixes in great. Cats drink/eat it all up.
One of my cats will look at the bowl and at me if the water is 2 hours old. Fresh water every time he sits at his bowl or he won't drink. What payment do I get for my slave labor? When outside, his favorite drink is rainwater in the greenest most algae-infested container. I love that tuxedo menace.

One of the kittens my nephew and I found in our parking lot was a cream we called Frenchie! We only found her because she was marching forward yowling her head off, and it turns out she was completely blind. We took her in, gave her some of the kitten antibiotics and eye medicine we had left over, and took her to the vet the next day. Even after she came back with $1400 worth of prescriptions, exams, shots, and the works, I didn't hesitate. The second I picked up that kitten, I had resigned to a week of broke food, hahaha! Frenchie didn't end up staying with us. She got better of a lot of things, but we couldn't give a fully blind cat a proper home. It hurt, saying goodbye to such a sweetie, but the family that adopted her knows us and sends us videos of her from time to time. It all worked out okay :)
Thanks for the review! I myself own three cats (14, 4, 2) a dog (14) and a salt water tank. Let me tell ya, it keeps me on my toes. A few things that have helped with cost, include Pet Insurance, Synchrony Care Credit (Many Vets accept this card with no interest financing options), and local shelter “vaccine clinics”. The local shelter clinics only focus on the shots, and medications needed for your pet to stay up tot date with local rules and regulations. Then you can prioritize vet visits when it is absolutely necessary or push it to later in the year, after your cat’s health begins to improve. There are plenty of programs out there that can help! So don’t give up hope on your little jaguar and push through! Happy trails!
Me and my husband just rescued a 6-8 week old kitten we found in our front yard that also had a respiratory infection and fleas and worms. His eyes were nearly covered in crusted discharge. I wanted to help him by taking him to a kitten rescue center but my husband wanted to keep him. I never though I would own a cat. He has been expensive but can't imagine life without him. As my vet said, summer is kitten season!
Congratulations on your new kitten! The Cat Distribution System dropped 2 off in my backyard two years ago, so that was where I got mine (cheap, in terms of adoption, expensive as they're complete unknowns in terms of vaccinations and whatnot). Plus mine came half-feral, so there was taming involved. You have to get very, very small whips and tiny little chairs to tame a cat as opposed to a lion.
I adopted my kitten from an organization and he ended up having a not yet diagnosed allergy disorder that could cost $100 a week. Kittens are just... expensive. But if I could go back to when I adopted him last October, I'd still adopt the same cat. The good thing though is if you go through a shelter or foster, they will often have the cat checked up by a vet either when you adopt or within the past 6 months. I think Quesito is a cute name, but since she's a girl you'd want it to be Quesita. Plus it adds for some fun alliteration, like Mamacita Quesita! Mi niña Quesita! Congrats on your lil cheese though! My first cat was a rescue named Pacha (but I called her shit, little shit, trash baby, gremlin, Pachita, Un bambina, etc etc) who was found half-dead in the grass at just weeks old. I raised her until she was 15 and a half and passed from liver failure last year. She'll always be one of the most important parts of my entire life.
I just adopted a stray kitten that was outside and had a feral mom. She's all white but with a black stripe on her forehead going down like a skunk. Since her pattern reminded me of a skunk but with reversed colors, I named her Knuks (skunk spelled backward). As you interact with her, I'm sure you'll also think of the best name unique for her. Thanks for rescuing this sweet baby! Btw, I also like Gouda Cheese - it's kind of long though, maybe just call her Gouda, but have Cheese as her middle name. lol :)
they not to use the laser pointer a lot. It can cause stress and anxiety since they can't "catch" and "kill" the thing they're hunting. The kitten looks so happy!
No worries, my man, you're doing a great job. I got my two from a rescue group for 100 bucks, which included shots, chip, neutering. Good value! And they are properly socialized cats as they were fostered.
Brie, Feta, Cammie (as in Camembert cheese), Moz (as in mozzarella), Pepperjack (sounds more masculine but you could say it’s short for Pepperjacqueline)
Glad you took the little girl in and are taking great care of her. I got my little girl during Covid from a rescue org. I was told she had been de-wormed....wrong, she gave my other cat worms and on top of that gave both of us ring worm although she showed no signs of ring worm. Her name is Itty-Bitty and she costs more than an itty-bitty sum of money when I first got her.
👍I give this product a 10! I loved it so much I bought 5! 😆 Yes, I really do have 5 cats. I didn't get them all at once and 3 were recuses. They are the best and most fun thing I have ever brought into my house. We love snuggle time, treat time, and play time around here.
this super cute and precious but try not to overuse laser pointers as a toy. Cats eventually grow frustrated because they cant actually grab hold and catch it
I’m glad you were honest- cats are wayyyyy more expensive than you expect! It adds up and over the years it’s crazy how much you spend- especially if they get sick. Enjoy the playing years because they grow out of them- watch out for given them too many snacks and making them fat. Also, realize that you can’t just travel easily with cats at home-
Good on you for bringing up the financial commitment (lifelong!) of owning a pet. If you're not ready for that right now, a great way to get that love into your life is to foster a kitty or dog. That's a straight up 1:1 way to save a life at the same time ❤
Just cruising by 'cause this video popped up in my feed... and it's about a guy who already loves his new kitten and is already going down the path of a good cat dad! Yay! Kudos to you. By the way, you've officially been touched by the "Cat Distribution System." Congratulations! (PS: I hope you choose the previously suggested name, 'Quesito.' That's adorable.)
When I adopted my cat from the ASPCA, she ended up getting an upper respiratory infection from the ASPCA. She also has a heart murmour which we found a few months later & she has heart disease so she's on heart medicine & takes a supplement every day. She was expensive but the best money spent because she's a sweet ball of fur & I love her.
This was a genuine review. I've been adopting/getting cats all my life, and not once was I ever told adopting/owning information like this. Well done. I've done the research from past experiences, and everything you said was true. More people need to see this before getting a cat. Also, Guda is good. If you want to keep the cheese route, maybe pick a cheese that best represents her personality. Which seems like Guda XD.
Lovely kitty! 😊 There is a carpet cleaner called 409 sold at Walmart that works great at getting cat puke 🤮 stains out of carpet! And it’s relatively inexpensive 😊 I hope she gets better soon ❤
Cuddles like a champ! Not afraid at all! Decent cat. Did you know next year (hopefully) theres gonna be feline medicine for flushing out the toxins out the kidneys more efficiently that will DOUBLE the cat life's span? (from 15 to 30 years) I recommend looking it up to learn more. also: look up appropriate diet for kittens-cats if you are a first time cat owner
I love her so much! I'd highly recommend adopting another kitten if you can afford it, as many kittens enjoy company and play with each other and not the furniture.
Some county shelters(not rescues, animal services!) are so overpopulated that adoptions are FREE! So if any of y’all are looking into getting a pup or kit for yourself, I recommend looking into it! Also fostering is great if you’re a bit tight on money (and free on time), the shelter still technically owns the animal, so spay/neuter and food costs may potentially be covered by a shelter near you! Overall, great review! - An ex-shelter worker
My sister and I rescued many abandoned cats over the years and one thing about rescued animals that you rescue yourself is the love and affection that you get from the pet. They are so indebted to you that the unconditional love covers you both, and they will be the greatest companions. We would have gone to a shelter, but we had so many abandoned cats in our neighborhood and they needed help. After 25 years, we now have one 15-year-old cat left from a neighborhood litter, and because my sister and I are in our 60s, any cats we may adopt will come from a local shelter. My sister and I have made many monetary contributions to shelters too and anything you can do for these shelters is appreciated. We prefer to donate to no-kill shelters, and hopefully they will all be no-kill soon.
Adorable kitten.!! we got a very sick kitten with a respiratory disease from a shelter. She also had ringworm (fungal skin disease) but we are very happy. She is such a loyal friend for 8 years now. I definitely advise to use actual toys she can chase and catch.
a few years ago we adopted our sweet dog and she was born with a heart malformation. her medicine is quite expensive and she has to take 3 kinds of pills everyday 😶🌫️ but it's so very worth it to be able to love her and see her live longer ❤
Just so you know a respiratory infection which I'm gonna assume is Feline Herpes Virus. Its completely benign and wont really show except for when a flare up causes them to get sneezes. It's super common for any cat that's been through an adoption system.
Fostering kittens/cats for a few weeks at a time can be another option for people who don't have a lot of money or have other challenges. The shelter covers the food, vaccines, and spay/neuter costs, and the kitten or cat gets a quiet space where it can get love and attention. Win-win and highly recommend!
Cat advice If she starts having eating issues (not finishing food, knocking it out of the dish first, etc) or isn't drinking enough water, try a flatter food dish to avoid whisker fatigue and moving the water dish away from the food one (water in the wild with food in it usually means the water is bad bc food = dead things) before switching food brands etc, as it's the cheapest/quickest way to figure out if the issue is environment based vs body based (body based = sick) Cats like sleeping on things that smell like people which is why they get into laundry so often, so sticking a worn tshirt in her bed every week should keep her out of the hamper if she ends up getting into it a lot A few ice cubes in her water bowl on extremely hot days (peaking for your area) can be nice, but not too many (1-3) Getting her used to brushing and having her paws touched now as a kitten will help you later with claw trimming and vet visits etc If she's playing with you and hurts you, it's important to make a noise like "OW. That hurt!" And stop playing with her for a few mins, so she learns how to play safely and mind her claws etc, as she doesn't have any other cats to learn with. Good luck my dude, and welcome to the cat distribution network! 😂
Be prepared for anything with a new pet. Adopting from a shelter is better than a street rescue, but no guarntee. I adopted my last cat from the Dumb Friends League. While my cat was tested for major ailments (FIP and FIV, worms, etc) and tested negative, he'd been placed in a room with several other cats - including one with a raging respiratory infection (that they KNEW ABOUT and were treating. So why not place this cat in isolation?) - so my cat and several of his roomies were also sick. A day later - after waiting for eight hours in the ER at my local vet clinic - I had a scrip for antibiotics for a rspiratory infection and a $700 bill. Anyway, good review with lots of good advice. Keep 'em indoors or in the yard (with supervision) and they will live much happier and longer lives.
Dude, support the feet! Cats dont trust you, if their PAWS are dangling in air they are falling no matter how badly you crush their ribs, when you pick them up get a hand under both back paws and then they are standing on something solid and they calm down. They might try to climb onto your shoulder because they prefer to be higher,
As a person who is allergic to cats I have tried dogs, bunnies, birds, gerbils - kind of dull, think squirrels would be better but possibly illegal depending where you are and also probably allergic to them as well - finally settled on ducks. Ducks are messy, their food is expensive, a little harder to find, and veterinary care must usually be done by an exotic vet. For a complete overview, try dunkin ducks. She has call ducks, which are loud, I have Muscovy which are generally quiet. Please note that ducks can live 10 to 15 years and you can't just take them to the park and dump them because someone will have to come and rescue them and I know a lot of people who do that but they really don't appreciate it when they have to. And if nobody rescues them, they will probably freeze or starve or get attacked by dogs cats coyotes you name it. Sometimes even humans. As noted, check out other duck owners. They will have more info. I started with one house duck, who I had to diaper about every 3 or 4 hours and she lived for 9 years. She was imprinted. I loved her very much. Some ducks can be cuddly, some ducks are not. Also they will steal food off your plate. We allowed her to do this as long as it was not chocolate because chocolate kills dogs. Yes I did mean to say dogs. I wasn't going to risk it. After my house duck I now have backyard ducks. I have six. They are a lot of work. But there are a lot of fun to watch, when they are not napping. I believe they do not upset my allergies as they oil themselves with oil from their gland near their tail where most other animals lick themselves with their saliva. Apparently it's the saliva that's my problem. When they nest they pull out their down and yes there are allergies. But at least they are outside. Ducks are the only pets I have had for more than 4 months. Two of them lived for 9 years each. Please do check On the multitude of details before getting a duck. Better yet, get two. They are flock animals. Great review of the cat. Brilliant idea. Hope the cat is doing well. Really adorable. Also good info on prices. It's amazing how much veterinarians cost these days.
"Smudge", its cute, highlights that they were a stray, they look like a little sentient smudge of dirt, and they often look blurry like in the thumbnail from how much they love to play

Since her pattern reminded me of a skunk but with reversed colors, I named her Knuks (skunk spelled backward). As you interact with her, I'm sure you'll also think of the best name unique for her. Thanks for rescuing this sweet baby! Btw, I also like Gouda Cheese - it's kind of long though, maybe just call her Gouda, but have Cheese as her middle name. lol :)
Thats a good car, takes a pet like no problem

they not to use the laser pointer a lot. It can cause stress and anxiety since they can't "catch" and "kill" the thing they're hunting. The kitten looks so happy!
Standard kitten model. Can't go wrong w those.
She’s cute❤ love her white gloves 😘🥰
No worries, my man, you're doing a great job.
I got my two from a rescue group for 100 bucks, which included shots, chip, neutering. Good value! And they are properly socialized cats as they were fostered.
She’s a Pepper 🖤🩶🤍
Brie, Feta, Cammie (as in Camembert cheese), Moz (as in mozzarella), Pepperjack (sounds more masculine but you could say it’s short for Pepperjacqueline)
Pepperjacqueline is an outstanding name 💙 10/10
Glad you took the little girl in and are taking great care of her. I got my little girl during Covid from a rescue org. I was told she had been de-wormed....wrong, she gave my other cat worms and on top of that gave both of us ring worm although she showed no signs of ring worm. Her name is Itty-Bitty and she costs more than an itty-bitty sum of money when I first got her.
I have two stray cats that I've rescued. They are so sweet.
go with gouda cheese
👍I give this product a 10! I loved it so much I bought 5! 😆 Yes, I really do have 5 cats. I didn't get them all at once and 3 were recuses. They are the best and most fun thing I have ever brought into my house. We love snuggle time, treat time, and play time around here.
Just name her Cheese. Then, you got all your cheese-basis covered.
Name her after the PC parts you were gonna get so you can still say you got what you were originally going to get
Since she's a tricolor you could name her Trinity or Tria. However, I think Gouda Cheese (just Gouda for short) works pretty well, lol
honestly 10/10 kitten and 10/10 cat dad too
i’m glad you two found each other 🥹
Brie is a cheese pun and a legit name. Would recommend
Can't wait for 2 years from now when the kitty is making a video reviewing her human with some miles on it.
The Cat Distribution System has struck again. I love all four my rescue cats! I name my cats after junk food/desserts.
Good review. My wife and I also adopted a kitten. Very enjoyable experience. 9/10, would adopt again.
this super cute and precious but try not to overuse laser pointers as a toy. Cats eventually grow frustrated because they cant actually grab hold and catch it
Great job dude! BTW, spaying should be done too. So look for a low cost spaying clinic nearby.
Love this video. No unnesessary frills or anything. Just you and your review of your beloved pet. =)
That's a straight up 1:1 way to save a life at the same time ❤
10/10 cat for silliness alone
This video is so wholesome. I’m so happy it randomly popped up on my feed ❤
Wonderful youtube rng!! I hope you and your kitten enjoy each other's company for a long time!!
Lovely kitty! 😊 There is a carpet cleaner called 409 sold at Walmart that works great at getting cat puke 🤮 stains out of carpet! And it’s relatively inexpensive 😊 I hope she gets better soon ❤
Kittens are the most adorable thing on the planet. Love her
Cuddles like a champ!
Takes a pet like no problem.
That's a great kitten right there.

Respiratory issue is just normal cat stuff I won't ding you for that 10/10
Lots of new models have the same respiratory infections, it's very common
this video has the funniest vibe. love it
Oh my! I hope she gets better quick. She is so cute. I think Quesito is a cute name, for her, and some comments agree too. Also, I'm you're 200th sub
We prefer to donate to no-kill shelters, and hopefully they will all be no-kill soon.
that's a beautiful name for a kitten
was expecting this to be more jokey, pleasantly surprised that this is a genuine review of the actual process when getting a new kitten !
I have literally never seen or watched you before, but I approve of little Quesito.
Adorable kitten.!! we got a very sick kitten with a respiratory disease from a shelter. She also had ringworm (fungal skin disease) but we are very happy. She is such a loyal friend for 8 years now. I definitely advise to use actual toys she can chase and catch.
How cute! I can't wait to see her updates.
shes so cute subscribed for adorable new item
a few years ago we adopted our sweet dog and she was born with a heart malformation. her medicine is quite expensive and she has to take 3 kinds of pills everyday 😶🌫️ but it's so very worth it to be able to love her and see her live longer ❤
I didn’t even watch the video, but there’s a cat in it, so immediate like.
Nice smol cat.
Wishing you the best of luck ❤🐈
Just so you know a respiratory infection which I'm gonna assume is Feline Herpes Virus. Its completely benign and wont really show except for when a flare up causes them to get sneezes. It's super common for any cat that's been through an adoption system.
Fostering kittens/cats for a few weeks at a time can be another option for people who don't have a lot of money or have other challenges. The shelter covers the food, vaccines, and spay/neuter costs, and the kitten or cat gets a quiet space where it can get love and attention. Win-win and highly recommend!
not you actually doing an item review 😂😂 so cute!
Lovely product 10/10
Since, she is so full of love, name her Cupid. 💘
Always rescue ❤
Thank you all who rescue and adopt pups and kitty cats 🙏
Oh this is legit a review 🤣 lol
The algorithm sure loves cats, first time I'm seeing ya - 10/10 review, very informative 😎👏
I got all my cats off the street or off the side of the road, no complaints. When they pass 12 or 13 years, THEN they get pricey.
Cat advice
If she starts having eating issues (not finishing food, knocking it out of the dish first, etc) or isn't drinking enough water, try a flatter food dish to avoid whisker fatigue and moving the water dish away from the food one (water in the wild with food in it usually means the water is bad bc food = dead things) before switching food brands etc, as it's the cheapest/quickest way to figure out if the issue is environment based vs body based (body based = sick)
Cats like sleeping on things that smell like people which is why they get into laundry so often, so sticking a worn tshirt in her bed every week should keep her out of the hamper if she ends up getting into it a lot
A few ice cubes in her water bowl on extremely hot days (peaking for your area) can be nice, but not too many (1-3)
Getting her used to brushing and having her paws touched now as a kitten will help you later with claw trimming and vet visits etc
If she's playing with you and hurts you, it's important to make a noise like "OW.
Jeez that's fucking crazy, why would they put the cat in with other cats if it's sick, and hopefully your cat is doing a lot better
Dude, support the feet! Cats dont trust you, if their PAWS are dangling in air they are falling no matter how badly you crush their ribs, when you pick them up get a hand under both back paws and then they are standing on something solid and they calm down. They might try to climb onto your shoulder because they prefer to be higher,
Guda cheese is such a dope name for a cat
It's amazing how much veterinarians cost these days.
when i adopted my cat the shelter had reduced prices for new year's to encourage adoption, which means i get to say i got my cat on sale
15/10, would recommend this product
I know I'm late on the naming wagon, but Mewriel (or Muriel) would be a nice one for a fluffy girl.
Kitten just be like: "The fuck is even going on"
"Smudge", its cute, highlights that they were a stray, they look like a little sentient smudge of dirt, and they often look blurry like in the thumbnail from how much they love to play
Omg, what a cutie!!!! Hahahha, love your review!!!
You will not regret your purchase. Cats become family. ❤
