At 25:00, LK player probably targeted the MagnaAnge for both effects just to make sure there is no lvl.6 Ace potential on board. Even if he can target different Digimon, de-digivolving Domini would leave him with another lvl.5 and he can't stop both from digivolving.
Important to note that the card you dedigivolve with lordknightmon x doesn’t have to be the same Digimon you choose to prevent evo. You can choose a different Digimon.
