I've always been intrigued by cruise ships, I think I'd probably hate it (esp ones like Disney, though I've heard people say good things about Virgin cruise ships), but the idea of basically a huge floating hotel where you wake up in a different country each morning is fascinating enough that I'll have to try one someday. Only having like half a day in each place you visit would get annoying though!
Regular cruiser here - It’s definitely a give and take situation.
Like you said, you get to have very small samples of a lot of different places. I take it as an opportunity to gather first impressions to help you decide where you’d like to revisit for an extended stay. They’re perfect if you are only able to get 2 weeks off work and you do your research to pick a cruise based on destinations that interest you.
Depending on the cruise line (I prefer Celebrity and Princess), the service from the room attendants and waiters is honestly better than most restaurants/hotels on land. They’re really hard working people and do everything they can to make your time on the ships as enjoyable as possible.
The cruise industry is certainly changing and used to be geared towards an older crowd but is now becoming more family friendly. There’s a growing demand from younger cruisers to spend more time at ports rather than elderly cruisers who like to just spend most of the time on the ship, which is a huge improvement.
yeahh i completely agree w the other commenter! i'm 16 and i spent a lot of my childhood on various cruises, they're all so fun and just the feeling of having everything at ur finger tips and not having to pay for each thing (like an all inclusive hotel) and the various events and such are jsut so fun... i would suggest royal caribbean the most esp if u are more adventurous, and princess and norwegian are our other go-tos!

i went to an ice bar recently and it actually was pretty cold but the floor was also wet and i was wildly uncomfortable and ended up with my shoes and the bottom of my pants soaked lmao not the best experience

as for the cosplays, definitely some Valorant cosplays, maybe some genderbend versions, too. to make it a bit different.
Fewer cities and much longer in each is always going to be a better bet. And Kiel is pretty much nobody's first choice for a maiden visit to Germany!

I was in Copenhagen (dane btw, but not from Cph) a few days before you guys were there (I saw that cruise too, and it is MASSIVE), and then also arrived in Amsterdam the same evening you were there, without knowing before I came. Wish I had a chance to come say hi, but you were already in Belgium the next morning.
Me and 2 of my friends are travelling around Europe by train for 2 months (interrail), so it was a pretty big coinsidence that we were in Amsterdam the same day.

I'm a month late @sydeon but 2 help c swellin in your foot/leg from long airplane rides, use compression socks! I'm a certified DPT n can say that muscle activation helps pump blood back to ur heart especially 4 ur lower extremities. So when air pressure drops n u're not up and movin much, swelling in the feet/legs occur.

Thank you for saying Europe had never been high on your list of places to travel because my husband and I feel the same way and most people are surprised when we say that since it’s at the top of the list for so many.
