Ha! 😊 I use the vacuum with the computer nozzle to suck the lint away and off, not around. The tech did say to use canned air with light touch-btw. Reiterating, use the vacuum with a light nozzle. Too, vacuum up your immediate space while at it, is few minutes away from sewing, but you need the break & wind multiple bobbins - that is a time saver for ya.
This is not all. There is more to this if you want it done right. My dealer showed me what I need to do so the machine will last for a long time and I will have no problems.
Could you do a video on older model Berninas? I have a 180 and try to keep it cleaned and oiled but I have always struggled where to put the drop of oil. My bobbin case area doesn't come apart like this. Thanks!
I would never buy from a dealer who doesn’t know not to use canned air on a domestic machine. Or one who doesn’t know the easy trick of inserting the hook.
Bernina are the Ferrari of sewing machines they're made to look at not use cuz unless you're a sewing machine repair person you're going to have it in the shop more than you're going to use it My wife but two special edition bernina's a smaller one in a larger one that will do embroidery neither one of them works about half the time.
I disagree. I have Bernina machine and you do have to keep it super clean to use. Would you let your wife drive that Ferrari? Does she drive manual transmission ( a clutch ) ? Is she tech savvy at all? Or mechanically inclined? Because the Bernina is affordable to you doesn’t make easy if the user is careless or sloppy sewing. Bernina is the fine wine of sewing machines, taking care of the machine is up to the owner /sewer. And last, have You used the machine Curt?
