  • This is the steering modification for the Tamiya MAN TGX 6x4. The only extra cost was £12 for a pack of 20 RC4WD M3 Off-Set Rod Ends.

    ALWAYS love a bargain!! 👍👍 I've already done all of your mods on my Snowman's Kenworth.... But this is more relevant for when I start on my Mercedes1850L. Very tight steering indeed!!

      it's coming along... it was painful to drill holes in the roof to fit the beacons and air horns, I've never been so careful. 🤣

    The purpose of using the Carson steering rod is to correct the Ackermann steering geometry on the Tamiya European trucks and thus provide the correct wheel angles when turning.

      absolutely no need to be exact with modelling, all my trucks turn perfectly ok and Ackeman isn't important on the model trucks.

      I saw them on Modelsport website for £31 once, they seem to be more sensibly priced now.

    Hi Terry,
    I always watch and appreciate your videos. My question is; You made the shift servo Futaba S-3003, why the steering servo Futaba S-U300?

      I have a lot of Futaba S3003 servos that I bought from a robotics exhibition, the guys running the display had no use for them after the show and I offered to buy them, there was about 30 of them, all brand new and used for an arduino test board. I bought a few of the newer S-U300 to try out, and I thought I'd use this build to see if it was as good and as reliable as the S3003.

    Bonjour Teri excellent vidéo et des améliorations très intéressant comme je vous l’ai mentionné précédemment je viens de terminer mon SCANIA 770 je vais maintenant commencer à le modifier j’ai reçu beaucoup de pièces pour l’améliorer comme je ne parle pas anglais j’aimerais que vous me confirmer si j’ai bien compris le but de vos modifications enlevées le jeux dans la direction et permettre un plus grand braquage des roues dommage qu’on doit sacrifier une partie du support de l’amortisseur.Vous verrez que les supports du servo manque aussi de rigidité ? J’ai une autre question de tout ordre j’utilise des FS-16X programmer comme vous l’avez montré sur mon Grand Hauler la conduite à droite et à gauche avec un MFC 01 est correct sur mon SCANIA avec un MFC 03 le sens de la conduite est inversé sur le stick est-ce que c’est parce que j’ai acheté le mode 2 est-ce que je peux inverser la direction et de quel façon.Encore merci pour tout du Québec

      Le but de la modification de la direction est de réduire la majeure partie du jeu en utilisant les embouts de tige RC4WD. Il augmente également la direction.
      Vous pouvez utiliser le FS-i6X avec le MFC-03. Vous pouvez inverser le sens de l'accélérateur, mais vous devrez recalibrer le MFC sur votre radio.

      Merci ce n’est pas sur l’accélérateur c’est sur la direction et peut tu me dire qu’est-ce que je dois changé dans la configuration
