How is it that the gen 2 morgan still looks like it's more limber? A lot of the gen 3's look like their hips are frozen up or their back legs don't work right. These new morgans look like the curly's in the back during the gallop and it's so off-putting. Probably won't be getting any if they don't fix that. I guess I'll be riding my gen 2 with pride XD
Why do I always fall in love with a horse that isn't re-created in upcoming updates on a breed??? The black morgan with the curly mane and tail was my go to for YEARS and even though I can't remember any of my horses name. Even after one of my accounts was deleted, I still remember my black morgan with the dirty white mane and tail, Ashland. That says soemthing...these horses will always be in my heart. I need to buy the old model before SSO sends them away forever and I will be getting the new verison of them....all of them! I must have them ALL!!!!! Thank you for showing the history of these horses. I feel it is very important for the younger generations to understand just how far this game as come and helps those who went through it to remember and appreciate the history they hold and the improvements this game as made. I just wish they wouldn't retire the horses as they have, but I understand why they might be doing this.
My issue is they made the neck way too short and the head way too big. But they aren't going to fix that now. Idk I feel like they kinda butchered the breed. I grew up with morgans and live in New England, these look like a weird welsh x JWB mix thing. The muzzle looks morgan like ig 😭
I really hope they add the blaze to the face of the silver dapple black, like on the original. I'm praying they do. I'd actually love him then. As he is, I just don't like the socks with no blaze look.
The dark brown with the orange brown looks like a peanut butter cup i might get it but idk what i would name it :/ anyways i hope they keep the older gen of the morgan still in the game :)
Never forgiving star stable for not 1. including the black wavy mane morgan 2. removing the blaze from the steel/silver black one that makes it look so bare and ugly
Full honesty, I don't like the direction SSO is going. While the models of the horses look gorgeous and so realistic and have so much potential, I'm not happy with their movement. In my opinion I liked the direction SSO were taking before with the gen 3 Andalusians, then the thoroughbreds and they reached their peek with the American Paint horses. Based on real life training, those horses have the most realistic and healthiest movement as they are relaxed in their shoulders and especially the Andalusians had a great start to developing animations where the horse has an uphill position. In classical dressage this is the healthiest position for the horse to be in as they move their weight onto their hind legs and free their shoulders so that their front legs are more free to move and do movements like piaffe. The whole point of horse training should be to move the horse's weight onto their haunches and let their hind legs become more flexible while releasing their front legs from the majority of their weight, preventing diseases such as kissing spine and navicular disease. With this training horses learn how to carry their own weight, as well as a riders' properly and helps them to strengthen the back and lift it, instead of destroying its' muscles and making the back drop- resulting in kissing spine. The direction SSO are taking is typical English Dressage you see in the Olympics which isn't real dressage. It is all just for show, trying to copy the original version that knights used to use for warfare, except trainers want quick results so they force the horse to do movements too early, leading them to do it incorrectly, while the riders training method is to pull and kick where as it should be the opposite. The highest level of training should mean that the horse has complete self carriage and is able to maintain a healthy position completely by themselves with you only having to slightly shift the weight of your body. However, to reach this result you have to train the horse for at least 16 years, with some horses never being able to reach this level. The movement SSO is copying onto their models is not the healthy position for the horse, their heads are over bent and too close to their chest, representing hyeprflexion which develops the muscles at the bottom of the neck instead of the crest. It over extends the muscles along the crest and destroys them like a broken spring, leading the back to drop as soon as the exercise is over and eventually leading to the complete destruction of the back muscles. The hind legs are too far back and not even attempting to reach the centre of mass, meaning that they are pushing the horse's weight onto the forehand and not carrying it while the forehand is used for balance. This leads to an unbalanced and nervous horse that can barely carry its own weight as well as causing diseases like navicular disease as there is simply too much pressure on the front legs, especially the one that the horse favours. With this style of training, horses go into retirement at 16 years old instead of reaching their peek of strength and beauty. I understand that this is a game for children, but I really feel that it is important that SSO represents healthy horse training and movement so that children do not grow up thinking this is how horses are supposed to move. This is what leads people to say "but the breed is naturally stiff". Most horses are naturally stiff with their own weaknesses and twists in the spine, like humans. It doesn't mean it should be that way, and just how people use sport like yoga and dance to equalise and straighten their backs, that is what dressage should be for horses, not just a pretty dance show to win a ribbon. If your interested in this kind of training that helps horses physically and emotionally (it has worked miracles for my boy Max, whole most people would have put down long ago because of "weak legs" and his "aggressive attitude") then I would suggest Marieke De Jong Straightness Training as a good starting point and then Bent Branderup and Sonja Weber for a more advanced understanding of classic dressage and the differences between healthy and unhealthy training. Please people, stop killing your horses. Recognise if they are in pain and help them. Don't support the pathetic, dysfunctional, funhouse mirror reflection of original dressage that only aims to show off to everyone who is blind to see how the horse should move, and doesn't do anything to help them be happy and healthy as it should. Stop awing riders like Charlotte Dujardin who are mediocre at best and recognise the beauty in masters like Philippe Karl and Nuno Oliveira who aim to make the horses life better. Dressage isn't a hobby to show off in an arena, it is an art designed and practised over centuries to make the bond between horse and rider unbreakable and join two souls together. The rider shouldn't ride for fun, it should be for the horse's benefit, to help them become the strongest and most beautiful version of themselves that they can be.
The new Morgan’s are stunning, but the old ones still own my heart
old gold, they will always be the best horse in the game

I really like how smooth they made the new Morgan's animations tbh
And how realistic they are 🤩the RRP community are already loving them
As much as I’m CRAVING new quests and especially new areas, their horses are absolutely beautiful.

they should have recreated more original coats, they are iconic!
Very minor but I think it needs a longer forelock, as most Morgans have quite long manes

My theory is that they’re coming February 15, in previous roadmaps horses have come on the second week of each map

I love the new Morgan's head model it looks so realistic and so CUTE???
I'll get the one that be on the horse app it vibes with me I also like the different colored eyes
loving the app one
I ride a Morgan in saddleseat and I have to say, these gaits look so accurate
The new ones are nothing like the old ones, they just look like pony’s :(
I really hope they add the blaze to the face of the silver dapple black, like on the original. I'm praying they do. I'd actually love him then. As he is, I just don't like the socks with no blaze look.
does anybody lnow why sso isnt correct with their horsee/pony thing?
Ya I can’t wait
still salty there is no black coat lol (i think i like the old ones more due to nostalga but ill have to see the new ones to really know)
The dark brown with the orange brown looks like a peanut butter cup i might get it but idk what i would name it :/ anyways i hope they keep the older gen of the morgan still in the game :)
Buttercup
They sadly don't anymore, when there's a new horse, aka updated ones, the last of them are at the horse sale
The old ones still represents morgans better
Nooooo its missing its blaze and shiny coat, the new ones look so ashy
Never forgiving star stable for not 1. including the black wavy mane morgan 2. removing the blaze from the steel/silver black one that makes it look so bare and ugly
They are not bad but the proportions are kinda wacky with the body vs head/neck size. They don't exactly scream morgan either.
Hey i love your channel! but ngl the new Morgan's looks like little bugs 🤔 i like them tho
Gen 2❤❤❤

They are very nice, but the old ones are the best
The new animations look so off.
Don't look natural at all, or like the horses' actual gaits.
New ones look like reap life
But they also look like the starter horses
The old ones are not nice at all. I never did like them.
