CAILLEACH CALLING is a soul-stirring progressive and atmospheric Black Metal band formed Spring 2021 in California by guitarist/bassist/synth-player Tony Thomas (DAWN OF OUROBOROS, BOTANIST) and vocalist Chelsea Murphy (DAWN OF OUROBOROS).
In Gaelic mythology the Cailleach is a divine ancestral hag at the source of storms and winter. Debut album "Dreams of Fragmentation" is similarly tempestuous: bolstered by a propulsive drum performance from Yurii Kononov (ex-WHITE WARD) these 4 intensely dynamic tracks fuse trancelike Emperial bludgeon with dreamlike melodic ambience, countering vocals of tether-end savagery with emotive, ethereal intimations of deep space.

Well shit. This is great! Also, those vocals are fire, drums are tight af and guitars/bass are mesmerizing. The visual really adds to the despair and loneliness one can feel when living in the city as an introvert person.

This is bad ass. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there is some heavy Emperor influence here.
Cailleach song writer here. I haven't listened to them in many years, but Emperor was one of the first black metal bands I ever got into. So the influence is pretty deep.

Outstanding! The visual experience adds so much to this song. Dunno if this is what you were going for, but the whole way through I felt this anxious feeling of almost despair, it was a really moving and beautiful, if melancholic experience. I love this song so much! Top notch work, 10/10.
