Like the damage it shows at 50 is what you'd really get and real life at 20 to 30 and the damage it showed at 150 it's more like what you'd see in real life at 50 to 60. No, it is realistic cause the cars where always free to move away. In a real crash test they drive against a solid wall or a deformable barrier. But they always have to "loose" their energy within a very short distance.

They still have a large amount of weight & Mass, and vehicles (especially modern ones) are literally designed to have soft crumple zones all the way around them, so that even the slightest impact will be absorbed by crumple zones, before it can cause catastrophic damage to the passenger compartment. When you have a powerful Mass slamming into a heavy object with a lot of mass, it's not going to just push it away like it's weightless. This demonstration is acting as if the cars are half or less of what they weigh in real life.

So the game does not account for soft areas in seems. 2:50 That hit was not bumper to bumper, the ramming vehicles bumper was lower and the grill area took most all the impact. In real life, that would've destroyed the front of that car. It would have trashed the grill both front fenders the hood radiator and probably busted up stuff on the front of the engine like water pump compressor etc. But it did seem to get the damage for the sitting car correct. It looks like the game treats the whole front end of the car, the same as if it were the bumper, and doesn't differentiate between the bumper, and the more vulnerable areas above the bumper.
