  • Fencing Master Charles Selberg answers a question by fencer, Mark T. asking him to discuss stories on sabre fencing in the 1800s, particularly fencing stories or anecdotes on duelling. Abraham Lincoln and Hans Halberstadt are amongst people mentioned.

    I was unaware of his passing. Thanks for that post. They don't make 'em like that anymore. I just finished reading a worn, used copy of his book "Foil." It was outstanding- clear and enjoyable, just like his video explanations. Rest in peace.

    The interviewer should learn not to interrupt a story with her own comments (e.g. "Lincoln was left-handed....")
