- Haifa's Carmelit line, opened in 1959, may be considered the shortest subway line in the world, only 6 stations, but in reality it's an underground funicular, connecting downtown Haifa to the upper Carmel neighborhoods, overcoming an elevation difference of 270 meters.

interesting , it´s basically like the Karlsruhe Turmbergbahn (using a similar steel cable system & stairs-train) , but in a tunnel = this thing is only branded as a subway
So exotic, it has the face of the Middle East!
To me, it always reminded something from the London tube.
quite interesting how many controls they actually have on the vehicles themselves, given how this is basically a ropeway where none of the vehicles can be controlled individually and have no engines on board.
Awesome ride thanks!
there is also the light rail in jerusalem so no it’s not the only public transport in israel
Shortest?
Marzilibhan, Bern, Switzerland: 105m long, two Stations, no Seats. Altitude gained 32m
Yes it is part of the City's public Transport Company BVB and included in it's Ticketsystem😂😂😂
São Paulo está buscando exatamente esta sugestão de modal para transpor o desnível entre Planalto e Baixada Santista reinterligando assim Santos à Capital por trens.
olha um conterraneo kkk achei que so eu curtia ver esses videos de trens de outros paises
Interesting. But line 3bis of the Paris metro must have the priviledge of being the shortest metro line in the world: only 4 stations. There are very few seats in it, people don't even sit down, in general.

It's not the shortest. Istanbul's Tünel is shorter.
It isn't the shortest line, but it is the smallest urban subway system in the world
@@ErelH It's no more a system, and no more urban, than the Tunel.
Russia has the shortest. Only one station. I forgot name of the city
@@DartLuke Omsk 😏
@@ErelH lol. To be fair, Omsk Metro is actually not that short. They completed a large tunnel section before stopping works. However, only one station is "open" (obviously it doesn't work).
Istanbul tunel
lol
...Was shortest.
this is not the shortest subway line in the world. the shortest subway line in the world is the ttc line 4/3
