SINGAPORE Travel Vlog 🇸🇬| Latest Requirements, Immigration Questions, Flight & Hotel Booking Cost!

Hi, guys! So this is my first mid-year vacation. I worked 5months in the hospital. I came 11th of March 2022. So my vacation in the Philippines is 18th of August. So I booked my ticket in Singapore from 19th of Aug to 25th of Aug. 2022. It is 1week vacation to release my stress and unwind for a while, since It’s been a stressful month for me when I started my new job.
🇸🇬 Singapore Trip:
I planned this trip since 2020 when I was in Madina, Saudi Arabia. But unfortunately, it’s Pandemic so Singapore was closed that time and it’s not yet allowed to enter due to Covid-19.
I booked first our flight. I want to have a budget flight like Cebu Pacific where I can save and it is much more cheaper. But I read some reviews and my friend told me that the budget airlines are cancelling some flights anytime. And I don’t want that to happen. Cebu Pacific is good if you’re not in a hurry and you don’t have any urgent errands like it’s okay for you to cancelled it anytime and book it again from time to time. But as of now, I don’t want to waste my time like I will book then it will be cancelled, then I will book again. Anyway, in Cebu Pacific you can buy foods in the plane since they don’t have free meal because they are budget airlines.
✈️ TICKET FLIGHT:
So we chose Philippine Airlines. They are not cancelling the flights, they have free meal and the reviews was good. Hence, the price is like something doubled than the Cebu Pacific but I don’t have worry or stress that my flight will be cancelled or not. No need to book anytime ‘cause I know that the scheduled date will be fix and can’t be change. (The time is inevitable, like 7:25pm, they changed it to 7:45pm so it’s okay no problem because it’s on the same date).
🏨 HOTELS:
Regarding the hotels, just install the “Agoda App” and you can find a lot of hotels there per night. They have a cheaper hotels, like 52 SAR per night. It’s like 20 Singaporean Dollars only. If you want to have vacation, just book it early. Because I noticed, as the day goes by, the price seems to get higher even more. So just book as early as you can. It took us weeks before I booked the hotel. It’s really hard to choose. So they have cheaper, to moderate, to high-cost. It depends on your budget. They have hostels too for cheaper stay-in. It’s like accomodation or flat where you can stay inside and has a lot of rooms also.
SIM CARD: 📱
Before we planned to go here, we search, we read, we asked everything. So for the sim card, our friend told us that you can buy 10 SGD outside. When we arrived in Changi Airport , it’s almost midnight and we are so tired to go out and explore immediately just for 10SGD, because I’ve been in 9hours flight from Saudi. Then 3.5 hours flight to Singapore. I’m so exhausted. So, I don’t have any choice and I bought the sim for 43 SGD with free data. It’s quite expensive though. But we knew already that 10 SGD outside, but we don’t have enough time. They registered it as M1. You can install “M1 Prepaid”, then you can view your load balance there.
TRANSPORTATION: Taxi, MRT or BUS. 🚖🚎
If you want to save money. You have to buy EZ LINK CARD. And you can top it up, depends on you how many Singaporean Dollars you want to top-up.You can save a lot if you will not ride on the taxi. Because taxi cost like 7-21 Singaporean Dollars depending on the place where you will go. But if you will use your EZ LINK CARD in the bus or MRT, they will deduct only 0.30 cents above. So you can save a lot right.? But we used taxi since we’re not that familiarized in the place. That’s why we have “Grab” App. It’s like “Uber”. You will just type where you will go and the taxi will arrive, and all you have to do is sit and he will drop you off to the location you want.
🍛🥢 FOODS:
I loved SG Foods so much! We never missed to try to eat their Nasi Lemak, Pratta, Golden Salted Egg Chicken,Bento, soup and other foods in Hawker Centre that cost 2-6 SGD only. But in Restaurant it’s like 8SGD. I have a lot of foods that I want to try, maybe soon when I come back in SG. If you are in hotel and you are lazy to eat, you can order also in Grab App. You can choose there which foods you prefer and they can drop it in the hotel lobby.
💵 CASH:
Actually, I didn’t bring any Singaporean Dollars Cash. I just brought my VISA Credit Card (Saudi) and withdrew money to the OCBC ATM here. Fees of 8SGD (21Riyals) Other taxi & Restau can accept credit card, others are not.
Travelling around the world is one of my dreams. So I grabbed this opportunity since SG is near in the Philippines and it may not take quite longer flights to be there, and the advantage is you have the same time zone. Memories will lasts forever and the money will come back as long as you work hard. Everything is an experience. Travel as young as you are but don’t forget your limit to save for youself. 😊
