The American symphonic metal band KAMELOT will be releasing their new album Silverthorn October 30th in North America, October 26th in Germany and October 29th in the rest of Europe via Steamhammer/SPV. It will receive its Japanese release October 24th via King Records.

They had Alissa White Gluz (growls on Sacrimony) come out on stage for Sacrimony and March of Mephisto for the second night in Atlanta and she was amazing!! Huge stage presence and to see the whole song with all vocal parts was phenomenal. Cant wait for Silverthorn!
Dear Kamelot.....you are briliant. Perfect blend of vocals. At one point it seems as if you have Alissa, Elize then Tommy simultaneously. Incredible.
The more and more I hear sample songs for the new album,the more it just sounds like a new Seventh wonder album...Tommy makes that big of an impact..Fucking incredible vocalist.
Tommy remembers very much Roy's style!

I was a little hesitant about a new vocalist for this band since I love Roy's work, but after hearing this clip I think I'll get the new album. The new vocalist sounds really good.

Kamelot just seems to be getting better and according to Sascha Paeth this is the best album by Kamelot. If he is saying that then this album will be awesome.

When I heard Khan left, my heart broke a bit, I loved his voice, and I was honestly terrified of what was to come next, but those small snippets of song has put me at ease, even if it's just a bit

I'll be damned. I'll admit, I was incredibly sceptical after Khan left the band. However, every time I hear Kerevik, I get more and more excited for the new album. While I still miss the old vocalist, I am absolutely loving the new one. Definitely getting myself a copy of Silverthorn when it comes out.
The name's Elize Ryd, she's one of the three vocalists for Amaranthe and has been touring with Kamelot as a background-vocalist since 2010. If you don't know Amaranthe yet, you should definitely check them out. In my opinion, they're mindblowing.

I think you are right, the first albums had no growl at all and they are the best. I think growling only shows that this will be another dark-style album like poetry. -_-
She's also done the female vocals on the Dragonland albums. Not surprising since the guitarist for Amaranthe is also the guitarist for Dragonland.

Technically "Welcome Home" is an exclusive single for Sweden Rock Magazine Subscribers. There is no other way to get the Sacrimony single with welcome home unless you purchased the issue of the magazine with the EP. I did see one sold on ebay, but that was it. Why would they torture us like this. Such a beautiful song.

Thats what their last album was lacking for me.
Was a nice acoustic ballad of some kind. The closest thing was House on the Hill, and that bored me to tears tbh, though it had some interesting ideas.
For me a Kamelot album cant be complete without a couple of ballads
Don't you like March of Mephisto or The Great Pandemonium? A few growls spread here and there are quite exciting in my opinion. :)

The track that starts at 1:05 isn't on the new album. I assume it's the bonus track on the Japanese edition "Leaving To(o) Soon" Is there any way to buy or download this track separately as I love the preview on this vid and I'm sad (and disappointed) it's not on the album :(

Growls are ok,but these are from Alissa white-gluz..Shes got a good clean singing voice but growls...no no no..So looks like we are gonna have to tolerate some of it.
No, I guess I just don't like the sound of whoever is growling in the beginning of this video.
Yeah I'll be disappointed if there's growl singing. I really don't think it suits Kamelot. If there are growls, I guess I'll just have to skip those songs.
