"too much water" - IGN
It was dunked by nintendo life too, so.
Shows that a 10 year-old meme still has relevance today.

🤣 Poor Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire review 😅
That girl never recovered from being cooked after that review 😂
Even if I'm not personally interested in this game, I love that Nintendo brought back one of their lesser-known series. I hope they continue to do so.
They did so earlier this year with Another Code: Recollection. Unlike Sony, Nintendo actually acknowledges their back catalogue in some way.
You can't play this game your Luffy
Even if ur not interested in it u should still support it anyway so that it does well
@@paperluigi6132people need to support them
Another code isn’t doing well ppl need to buy it
A lesser known series I really want to see return is the Mario baseball games. They were so fun, and I'd love to see a new one or even a port with online play slapped in.
You guys dont understand. Endless Ocean was my favorite game as a child. I played it for so many hours as a kid and it sparked my inspiration to learn about the ocean. This lead to me helping the ocean environment in multiple ways today. I actually re bought the original Wii game about 2 months ago, and I find it so funny and coincidental that the remake is being released as soon as I got that! I hope this is a wonderful game. 💖🐟🐳🐬🐙🦈🐡
I get what you mean. Endless Ocean is a wonderful series. Endless Ocean Blue World is my favorite for the settings, characters, and story. The soundtrack is also so beautiful and relaxing.
Enjoy Endless Ocean Luminous, I can't wait to "dive" back in with everyone else.💙🌊🫧🤿🥽🪸🐳

I love how chill this looks. In an age where everybody seems to over analyse games for their technical performance or game mechanics, it’s nice to see a game that’s just not trying to be anything ground breaking, but just presents you with a world to relax in and enjoy. Pure escapism, more please!
Ocean exploration and a tranquil environment? This is my type of game
Remember when this game was on the Wii and it actually made the kids feel scared on playing this game because you could dive down in the darkest places of the ocean?
This isn't even a scary game but it can actually be scary if you explore the depths of the ocean which has the most scary and weird animals
Pretty sure that game gave a generation of kids thalassophobia (fear of deep water), same way Subnautica has for a new generation - except entirely by accident. I look forward to seeing if it happens again!
@@KorilD native it gave some thalassophobia, but it inspired me to get scuba certified!
No? I assumed this was new
@@keithflippers4429 this is the 3rd game in the series

Maybe Nintendo could have done more to clarify what this game is, maybe creating a little retrospective to the two former games because most reviewer are heavily disappointed because Endless Ocean is no Simulation, nothing like Subnautica or No Man's Sky. It's wild. IGN and GameSpot especially expected something much different here. Endless Ocean was always a niche product and what the reviewers are complaining here, lack of a real danger and random generated levels, this is what really bring me joy right now. I'm going through a very stresful time currently and Endless Ocean is giving me a little peace back without driving me crazy with survival mechanics.
It's not so much that there's a lack of danger that makes it boring, but more that there's a lack of anything meaningful. The danger that we had in the last endless ocean game was when we were around, say, a large shark. We could use a pulsar gun to calm it down, but we had to stay calm and aim. So there was actually a meaningful reason in choosing whether you wanted to approach a shark or not. It was easy to calm them down, but it gave you *just enough* pause to make it feel a tiny bit scary.
In luminous, you can swim up to whatever fish you want, and none of them react to you at all. There's no difference whether I'm approaching a tang or a great white, and as an irl diver, it's just weird to me.
I think the biggest thing, though, is that they still could have included this same exact diving mode that we have, while also including a better storyline. They just completely skipped over having an interesting story with interesting characters, and they gave us Siri and Gurgling Dan for friends. Where's the dolphin training? Where's the treasure appraisal? Where are the cute little islands we could swim to with iguanas on them? There were so many other calm peaceful activities in the last endless ocean game, and they just removed them all. So there's no way that this game feels like a good sequel when they removed everything that made the last game special.
I think IGN and others are also a little jaded by Dredge and Dave the Diver where just about anything in the water can try to kill you. Dave the Diver includes more fish friends than fish foes but a peaceful game after that was expected for me since I didn't know the history of Endless Ocean
Or they could have just looked the series up or watched gameplay of the older games
If u didn’t know that’s on them
It removes so many things from the previous games.
@@tolstarthekingwhat does it remove from the first one specifically?
I just picked the game up and it’s really fascinating learning about the animals that live in the ocean that I never knew about, also the game is gorgeous and the animals are very well rendered.
Keep in mind quite a few of the animals are fictional!
guys I don’t know about you, but I think this game is about fish… and also water don’t forget abt water
IGN will probably give this one a low rating because of “too much water”.
@@mistasenhor true
You gamers are so astute...how can you know so much about the world when you spend 24 hours a day in your bedroom?
Huh your right... I kinda do see the resemblance to a game about fish and water

This is my honest review of the game (after 8h of playing. Havent finished it!) . AS a semi hardcore fan of this franchise. The Wii games were my childhood. Rewind moment from all the stress of being in a broken family.
I love this game. But it isn't without flaws.
Likes
- It feels like I'm back in the wii game but slightly enhanced. It just feels right
- The creatures are fabulous. Looks way better compared to the environment.
- I love the search for the UML. I spent hours looking for them and just had a lot of fun.
- The mystery stones in the sea. I love the mystery story unfolding this way. Added with the bring *this type of thing* to this mysterious object. very nice.
- The RUINS all these crazy old buildings! very cool to explore them. Some go so deep it is nearly creepy but I love it.
- The depths reaallyyy feel like you're in the deep.
dislikes
- Story mode. Sorry but grind X amount of fish before the next sub chapter unlocks? If it was between chapters maybe.. but after every mode? Thats a little bit too much.
Also the story mode of Endless Ocean Wii was optional AND SEAMLESS. Not play 4 minutes tadaa story part complete now scan 1000 more fish! I get that maybe it is easier when you play with friends or the 30 people you advertised... Another thing is that in the free dive you start to do stuff and then in Story mode you get taught what you just did in free dive cause you have to scan all these fishes!
- No join random people's Dives. If you could that would make scanning for the story mode SO MUCH EASIER.
- Where is my dolphin training!??!?!?! I miss my buddies. I am happy that you can swim with *all* creatures now, but I love my Dolphin doing tricks and helping me
Conclusion; This is a game you pick up randomly. Explore a bit and put back down for a day. Don't grind this, because it will become a chore. Still lots of fun to be had when you pick it as chill as can be. I just wanna play the story continuously.
I've been a fan of this series ever since the original game. Loving the new one so far. It's not for everyone, but if you want pure relaxation while exploring underwater environments and learning about cool marine life, this is the game for you.
YO I REMEMBER PLAYING THIS ON THE WII!!!
The music is so relaxing that I fell asleep watching the trailer
is your name in reference to the basketball player?
The fact that this game has less content than the 10+ years old prequel
The only important question I must ask:
Did they bring Haley Westernra back?
No 😠
noo!!!!
Aw man :( . Oh well.
No. You can't create a character either. It's weird being called my Nintendo account name, too. I am profoundly disappointed in this game. They removed everything I LOVED about the first two games and replaced it with a cold and impersonal ai voice. The only thing still included is an ocean and fish. 😢
I’ve always loved the ocean.
So beautiful ❤️ and ORCAS 😍 woah!!!
I know! It's so beautiful! I can't wait to "dive" into Endless Ocean Luminous.
I wish Nintendo let Arika just make a third game that was like
the first two. After all this time, to FINALLY get a new game, and have it end up like THIS? Heartbreaking.
Just ordered for pickup 😁 excited to play later
I hope this is just the start of a revival for the series. "Just fish and vibes" was only a PART of what made the originals great but that's all that's in this one.
This game is great because it doubles as a horror game for thalassophobes
I was thinking this too
I'm glad this series is back.
I'm loving it so far! Hopefully it will get me just as involved as it did on the Wii.
I love ocean life. I can't wait to get this game!!
I loved the first and second because of the story, quests, and stuff. Not seeing much of that here, which makes me a bit sad
We're making it to the 7 seas with this one! 🗣🔥🔥🗣
"You know what that means - FISH"
FISHy FISH
Loved this game on the Wii. Probably not gonna get this but it's cool that it exists
Procedurally generated maps is a miss for me >_>
Looks really fun and I'd probably like it because i like the scuba diving in go vacation
Some people hate water levels in games and some people make it into a whole game.
Some water games have a water level equivalent - walking on land. Subnautica 1's island exploration bits, for example.
"Endless Ocean Luminous really makes you feel like you're swimming in water" - a reviewer or Videogamedunkey tbh
Looks like perfect podcast-in- background-style game :).
IM LITERALLY SHAKING IM SO HAPPY
My roommate is so glad this isn't just a port of the second game, cause he just did a full play through of that one.
Can't wait for my copy on Monday

I played the games on the Wii and I'm glad it's coming to the Switch, and this hidden gem is not so hidden
Good video and calming too thanks 👍
Looks great
Reminds me of a DS game I had with a similar concept where I had to rescue marine creatures. This game looks nice but don't know if I'd pay full price, so I'll wait for a sale.
Cool! 🌊
Can't wait to play Endless Oceans with all 30 of my friends and say, "Look! Another Goddam fish!"

at my dad’s right now, but ordered it and can’t wait to play it when I get home but also really sucks that there’s less interaction but hey, what are you gonna do? Anyway welcome finally finally finally endless ocean three and by the way. Swimming alongside everything will just be awesome.
Exploring the ocean is cool.
It looks good, but it's gonna have to do a lot to top the ocean awesomeness that was Abzu 😊
I would love this type of game but then in a rainforest or something 😄😄
Will definitely play it some day, just like did with 1 and 2! It's also surprising they implemented multiplayer. Not many relaxing ones in that.
This reminds me of my dead son. Thanks for bringing that up.
I remember beating the first game in a day on my wii when I was but a lad
Yep I will spend some time in this one
Just keep swimming swimming swimming just keep swimming 😊
Dan and Arin are gonna have a field day with this one...
beautiful and peaceful
If you was drowning just eat the water
The wii u water guy most be losing it rn.
Cool, I game I want but no physical copy..
After several hours of gameplay, I have to say that I'm a little disappointed. There are a lot of missions and options missing from Endless Ocean, a lot has been left out. I think that's a shame, the story is also progressing very slowly for me. You now have a huge sea and no longer have several areas like fresh or salt water, in this game everything is somehow in one sea. The fact that you have photo assignments or collecting orders to earn money is also missing here. I haven't spent any of the money on this game yet, I just don't need it because you can only choose different colors for your gear (not even different styles). The colors are all too bright for me. Exploring is fun, but even if you see a special fish now, it no longer stands out as much. I still remember in Endless Ocean 2, for example, how the giant shark was presented... here in this game it just swims around randomly. Interesting locations such as the Crystal Cave are also missing here. There is a big ruin or the same sunken ships and that's it. The side missions are always the same (swim to the orange area and find a specific fish there). No own reef or the possibility of equipping an aquarium like in the second part. I have now fully explored 5 free maps and can now continue with the story. Hopefully it will be a little more versatile💪🏻 but it's very good for chilling and switching off.
I hate how all the creatures are glowy blue until you scan them. It doesn't matter how many times you scan that same type, everything looks like different shapes of blue tang. I used to love finding all the different fish. And seeing all the beautiful colors of fish in every new area. Now it's like "oh look. More 🐟🐟🐟🐟" The trailers showed them swimming with all natural looking fish. I wish they had shown what it would really be like.
Endless Ocean is the reason I SCUBA now
Nintendo after these releases, give us a direct already
Not enough water
Amazing 🤩
Relaxing game
I'm interested in this.
What is the objective?
Catch fish? Picture taking?
Exploring?
All of them?
Yeaaaaaah there's really no objective. You swim around to scan and identify fish, and in doing so, you get currency to spend on things like stickers (to decorate your gear), emotes, and gear color changes
@@umbreoniteUwU
After trying Animal Crossing, I might give this one a try.
Thank you.
It’s like watching discovery channel.
So the point of the game is to catalog all the fish? That's cool. Hope there's more to it like subnatica
0:57 I thought she just shot the player like they added pvp or something lmao
Needs more Hayley Westenra
Hayley Westenra was a former member of Celtic Woman
@@raihanfarrelofficial Exactly which means she was there for the previous two games and not this one. We need her on this one.
Cool
I'm still going to buy, but I think you should have worked with Capcom MH devs to do some sea creature hunting.
Like not to kill them but some actions to hide, escape danger, & horror events where you are trapped in a under water ship & there is a sea creature hunting you down & your online friends will need to work together to scare it away with puzzle elements.
It's a big miss opportunity but never too late. Heck, hire me for the next game 😂.
Literally subnautica but with less reapers
Beware of the deep ocean😮
"Si tienes el suficiente dinero para comprar subnaurica lo recomiendo mas"
So it's Pokémon Snap but with real fish and you swim around?
I just need to choose between of Endless Ocean: Luminous and Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door HD Remake which game I'll buy for the Nintendo Switch. I love Paper Mario games and I've never played The Thousand-Year Door, because I've never had the Nintendo Gamecube, but about of Endless Ocean i'm really interested and I love the Ocean World, it would be so awesome to play this on TV and see the World Under the Sea. So which game to buy? 📖🌊

Yo cool game idea! I just have one little suggestion, (this is not about the game or the trailer) Can you please make Mario Maker 3 because I love and i mean LOVE those games and I've been waiting 5 whole years for it. I got Mario Maker 2 on release and it has a bunch of good memories. I would be sad if there was not any more, maybe in like 2026 for Mario Maker 1's 10th anniversary. I am just trying to get this out there and I hope you see this and consider this, PLEASE! I'm not gonna beg but its been a long time.
