My old JROTC first sergeant was in the 82nd airborne division and I also took a field trip to fort Benning and saw the ranger demonstration, it was awesome
My son left The 25th of this month. He is at Fort Benning now. Watching your videos has been helpful for me, as to what he is/will be experiencing.
I leave to Fort Benning August 19 and I stumbled upon this thanks RUclips recommendations

I graduated basic training for 11B December 13
When he said "bellybutton" he was telling him the aim point for the distance.
Hey Matt! I noticed some recruits had stripes on during the grenade training. One at 25:49. Were they leaders at that time in training? I noticed some had them and some did not. Just curious. Thanks!
Team leaders, squad leaders, and PGs had the fake rank stripes.
Thank you for your service Matt.
2nd Platoon, Delta 2-2 at Harmony Church, 10 July-11 October 1985. That place, our cadre, the guys...the most life changing summer of my life. I'll never forget it.
19:02 you can really tell who's used a rifle and knows firearm safety vs who hasn't
No I can't
@@LumboDumbo Fingers in the trigger weld is a no-no
I’m 14 and I know gun safety swell. I live in Vermont, more of the countryside of the state, and my bloodline has been in the military since ww2 or maybe ww1, so yea, it’s funny seeing people who have never held one
@@Jake_Stafford this is true, and I'm glad you're learning and have already learned the basics, good for you
I've been seeing ur videos getting ready to leave to basic at fort Jackson August 12👍
Orlando Arriaga we gonna be there together bro what’s your mos
Imma be there the week after
My dad graduated back in 1989 it's changed at least according to his stories and his graduation Tape
hi matt ! My boyfriend started bootcamp the 19th of this month and your videos are super duper cool ! Thank you for sharing !!!
Man this brings back some funny memories at good old ft benning
I go to Benning next June I signed up before I start senior year, so wen I graduate next May I start my summer on a plane to Georgia.
BIG BOY HUNCHO I graduated and a week later I was on a plane to Georgia. I wish I could have had at least of couple of month of being a free Civilian man.
Dj Yates I did a homeschool program for senior year, mainly because of fights, suspensions etc... but also because I want to be able to work on myself and make sure I got to basic in top shape, so I feel like I’ll have a lot more freedom than public school students. Hopefully I don’t regret it. Lmao. To late now though.
@@bigboyhuncho3931You wont regret it man lol I will be free from the Army someday been in over 3 years now just reenlisted for 4. I'm 21 now about to be a Sgt. Its pretty cool to get an early start because people I know from high school are just now getting in and I'm there boss haha Some tips though its gonna be tough mentally Physically not bad, make sue you maintain running though because you do that a lot. You will rarely get your phone so make sure your friends and family are tracking. Also write letter home asap because letters are the BEST! Overall cool experience you get to learn some cool things and make a lot of friends! Last thing 30th AG (In-processing) is going to be absolutely miserable but they do have good food.
Hyper kids be like watching these people struggle: hold my juice box
“Reapers”
Ha! That was my platoon’s slogan... super lame 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Our Drill Sargents mocked us the whole time on that one...
Philip Simmonds outlaws
Rafael Zamora no, not outlaws 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️😂😂😂
Can't be as bad as knights lead the way.
What's funny is, you're not in the military because if your an adult, how do you spell Sergeant wrong?
CREEPERS!!! (our name for first platoon)
You’re pretty good climbing that ladder rope and jump reverse sounds awesome 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Great to watch it again. It’s been almost 2 years since I did it.
Went to Basic over the summer of 2019 at Benning Charlie Company 2/47
alex Lumley no way me to I was in third platoon 😂
You were a split op though 🙃
@@DamesMilBank who are you
C/247 graduated April 2017
I just scored a 93 on my PiCAT and going to take the follow up test at Tampa MEPS. Then to Ft. Benning I go!
Hell yeah man!
I will be taking my asvab a couple of mouth. Which one is better? And what did u do to pass the asvab bruh?
Geoffrey Edward it’s all common sense except the mechanics portion😂 i didn’t know anything on there and i made a 73
Geoffrey Edward dude the picat is super easy, took my around 50 ish minutes and I got a 84 with no studying. As long as you somewhat pay attention in High school you should be able to get at least a 70
Jonamptic Even then you can BS some mechanical stuff. For the Air Force, I got a 73 on Mechanical and 72 on Electric with barely any knowledge. If it sounds wrong, it probably is.
This looks sorta like raiders for jrotc without the yelling though. Looked sorta like JCLC as well lol
Toxic2Venom yeah I’m getting hella JCLC vibes, raiders is basically just getting smoked and running a course in my jrotc program
Good ol Benning. I went to basic there in may 2013 with A CO 2-47. Fun stuff
A 3-47 IN BN 2008. Never saw mine either. was great to see sand hill again.
"That's tiring....." Must be an Army thing, lol! Go NAVY!
Stfu nigga 🖕
Seriously. I think my Field Medical Service School was harder than Army basic From the looks of it
@@dmezzynj3425 This is showing merely a fraction of Basic Training - probably only what they were allowed to film. This is specifically White Phase of BCT (1 of 3 phases).
