I cut my own hair for a few years. I’m an artist and I was always amazed how similar cutting hair is to drawing. It’s basically lines, blends, and erasing. Made it easier to understand.Great tutorial.

I really appreciate your videos dawg, I’m just starting out and really can only practice on myself or a few friends, and I can just say the detail in your tutorials is spot on. Most RUclips barbers just show off their skills but don’t explain the point of reference for what they do, making inconsistencies if you want to replicate the cut but something is slightly different

I do my own haircut… I use t outliners … sometimes I feel like I can’t see when I’m shaping myself up… are the slimline pros worth the extra dough? Not to mention I cut myself sometimes with the outliners lol

The only part you missed is you didn't tell them you started with your one guard open. Or did you have it closed?
Say I have an 8 on top how would I blend it to the top would I do open then closed for each guard so for example 1 open closed 2 open closed all the way to the 8 on top?How would I blend it to the top
I’m not cutting my own hair I would be cutting my brothers hair and he usually gets a 8 on top and he wants me to give him a taper fade but I don’t know how to blend it to the top

When you cut your hair do you stick to the fade scale or do you only use the #1 & #2 guards and just blend with a #0?

no cap I sat in my kitchen with a hand held mirror and used my microwave as the second mirror. The lighting was terrible. It was a terrible experience and I'm doing a 1 all around instead of a mid skin fade next time

all the mirrors are upstairs and fixed on the wall in rooms with no plug or a carpet which would be hard to get hair out of trust me the microwave was last resort
