  • This "Was" a day of work but unfortunately the sound was ruined on a couple of job. I added in some others to fluff it out.:-)
    Variety is the spice of life...
    This is a good oversight of my work. I don't job everyday trying to make ends meet. I no longer have to do 10 jobs a day every day so I try and mix it up.
    Gas boilers are complex and servicing and troubleshooting them can be a difficult task. Common UK boiler brands such as Vaillant, Ideal, Worcester and Baxi all have more obscure models and these can require a little extra effort to diagnose correctly.
    Unlike the USA our boilers are all high efficiency and more technology makes for harder diagnosis.
    For videos on Burnham, Weil-Mclain, Peerless and Lochinvar find a US Channel.
    I typed all that for better keyword and YT ratings. Lets see!!
    Here is a link to the kit I used in this video, it is an affiliate link so if you buy it I get a (very very small) kick back. I didn't do this video for this kick back. I could find more money on the floor of the van behind the drivers seat ;-)
    Here are a few affiliate links to some of the stuff I use everyday.

    Nicely done. Every boiler room fit out I fit a 1/2” close tapered nipple with a 1/2” lever valve then the AAV. Makes it that much easier 😂 (no my firm don’t spec that but I do it anyway) 👊 same thing on pig tails w/gauges always pop service valves on them

      It was a ..... cant remember. But the pipe had pin holes in it which I didn't notice at first. So probably a pin hole on the O ring. I had to cut a bit more out because I found another couple when I took some more insulation off.

    • @matthewtrueblood408
      @matthewtrueblood408 Месяц назад +1

      You not seen the recent gas press? Certain models of Logic’s have been overheating and catching fire. Ideal have had a huge recall on 10,000+ Logic’s to do an aftermarket repair. Ideal are crying out for engineers to carry out this work for £23 a job😂

    • @HeatingGeek
      @HeatingGeek  Месяц назад +2

      @mattsan70 Ideal Logic 2. It's the .gov website. Dry fire and burn a hole through the heat exchanger. Then they burn through the plastic flue collector. Then they burn through the plastic front case. Then they burn through the plastic new build houses they were installed in..... :-) Just a joke... I don't want to get sued.. :-/

      @@mattsan70 exactly. All it needed was a water pressure switch or overheat. Most other boilers have this or can cope with a bit of overheating. Not the Logic though, designed with one concept, make money.

    Nice one Ollie. The Baxi/Potty combis are fairly good. Easy to service & repair. However, the parts are a rip-off!!
    Yup it’s Ideal’s ‘Sump Gate’, 1000 of boilers with their shitty sump & they were blaming service engineers for the cracks??!!........Complete c.nts!!......But hey they must be one of the top selling boilers in the country. But they don’t look after their installers very well.
