I’ve seen lists of long lasting Hollywood relationships and I always wonder why they never make those lists. People forget about this couple for some reason. I’m probably one of the few that still follow them. They just seem so genuine when it comes to their relationship. And yeah, they’re probably one of the more attractive couples, as well.

Not really. You simplify the situation and it's simply not true. Because there are many happy, normal marriages in Hollywood, two flagship examples - Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman. Christian and Sibi have been together for 26 years, married for 20, two children, both of them guard their privacy very much, both are down to earth people, focused on their family and are modest - that's what everyone who really knows them says about them, plus it shows even in photos, if paps manage to outsmart them at all. I see Bale all the time, just with his children and wife on regular walks, on bicycles, on a surfboard, etc. The same goes for the Jackman marriage. Their secret? Both Christian's wife and Hugh's wife are not big actresses - stars, but normal, down-to-earth women. But it's also simply about a person's philosophy and choice .
Christian has been saying since forever, that for him, acting is just a job and that outside of work, he is not at all involved or friendly with other actors, that he focuses on his family, doesn't go to any parties etc., he is in fact a known loner with no social connection at all to Hollywood. So it's a choice. The big names, A-listers, are exposed to more stress & temptations in this business, because of their high status, than the second-rate actors, but this is why the key here seems to be not being in a relationship with the other 'big name'. Because marriages between two big stars usually end badly - Pitt and Jolie are just the last example out of a thousands. So - happy couples stay together in Hollywood, but usually when they're not two big stars. Just like here - Sarah still works on TV, acting, but she doesn't have big status anymore, it's the same situation with Freddy. This is why they are still together - they keep low profile, but it's also about what type of person you are. There are actors who love the spotlight and those, who hate it. The second group is usually more happy in their private lives.

@@Chuchutrain806 Exactly. And I met Bale, twice (and Sibi was with him), when he was still living in Santa Monica and he is so humble, nice, normal and great too. Sibi is the most lovely woman too. So like I wrote, it's not about Hollywood, but it's really about what type of person you are, and actors are different. Just like I wrote - there are those who love the spotlight and those who hate it, and the second group is usally way happier in their private life. Plus agian - both Bale's wife and Hugh's wife are normal, down-to earth women not big stars and this is a key too, because two big stars in a relationship in Hollywood almost never ends well.
Nat Kam you give 2 examples which are great people. I could show you 100, that don’t end up like Christian or Hugh. Hollywood is and always has been a pit. Why people waste there time lifting these people up as role models is beyond me.

This is something that other Hollywood stars should take note, especially those who care too much about being a "celebrity" than being a normal person, and those who are way too obsessed with social media looking for "attention" from other people w/c may destroy the relationship. Things that are so simple and yet so rare to find. They also found each other before the social media era which makes the foundation of a good relationship even stronger. They’re both icons of their era, were super successful in Hollywood left their mark, are unproblematic and never were fame hungry. Are still super successful and created businesses and things that are not in Hollywood per se and now just live like successful rich regular people. I think being private and away from that life for a while really preserved their marriage
