So much respect for the top down world building approach. I love these kinds of angles for building a world and have been trying to perfect it for an Earth Scale world of my own. Even got the 35% land mass down just by eyeing it. Super slow process but I’m in love with it lol
Thanks I did a fair amount of research before I started this project. Now that it is getting a fair amount of attention I may revisit it and start expanding. I guess my big question is what would people be interested in next? A deep dive into one country? A braod overview of where Races are from? A simple Zoomed in map of once place?
Unfortunately Making budget decks for any kind of competitive format is almost impossible now. When I made this channel and started making budget decks I wanted to keep the decks in the $20 - $60 range, as this was my budget for a new deck. But you just can't make a competitive deck for that price anymore. IF I moved into casual decks then sure you can make budget decks again. But that doe's not interest me.
I love this map and the attention to detail you put into it. SO few map makers look at things like how does the topagraphy of a world affect the bioms...they just splash biomes in willy-nilly. I'm sad you stopped the project. I ran across this video when looking for D&D map making videos and was super excited to see the rest of the series...

I use this exact method to create my fantasy world about a year ago thanks to artifexian. Highly satisfying to create your own fantasy world that's at least somewhat grounded in reality. Unfortunately, my hard drive died and I lost everything. Guess it's time to redo it. Yours looks a whole lot better than mine did though.

(if having children can even be considered having a life xD) I don't know much about Dn'D or map building but maybe you could take a page out of Tolkien's book and try to make places sound like what they are. For example, calling some evil and spooky mountains with an evil and spooky name: Ered Gorgoroth. Maybe this was obvious, IDK. Have a nice day! :D

The problem (or maybe it's a good thing) is that using the phonetics of words in this way requires to know how the place is beforehand. What about a high dwarven city in one of the mountain chains named Vahlkan. It is also one of their major mines and is the only source of white gold on the entire planet.
You could make giant monster and they would be like gods for with country than the country would be named after then or a characteristic the have. Big fan from Brazil.
@@GiantMonsterGames maybe you could do a giant like Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle that is a monster and a island and some of the others could by something not so big like a island but steel something to have fear.
Could be also a Bermuda Triangle type of place with same mini bosses and them the boss of the place could be a super giant monster like Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle or a Dark Depths type of monster

Yah that is a good Idea. This is built in Wonderdraft but there are some other programs I use also.
