We dedicated this to my mums service when she passed away last September will always be a speacial song to my beautiful mum thanks 🦋😇👼🙏🙏❤️
A great song to bring the emotions out. All you love to you and yours Sharon.
Lost my Mam last year. She was born in a tenement in Scotstoun, and did most of her growing up in Drumchaple. This song gave me comfort at a shitty time
God bless you and your mum minty.
When Pat sings without all the production, the angels soar !
He has the most beautiful voice, ever. ❤☘️
Beyond proud to be Glaswegian
Wonderful song. I'm proud to be a Glaswegian ... 🏴💙🤍💙
I come back to this video every time I think of my home city, and it brings back everything from the Merchant Chippie to my parents' house, which is all my early life in fact. That's what Mother Glasgow is, really: The Glasgow that lives within us. Billy or Tim, her succour is perpetual.
I was born & bred in Glasgow. Went to Garnetbank School.
Many decades later, living & working here & abroad, this song swells my heart. I do remember the starling in thexWest End.
I love & miss you all
Love to you all,
Jane
A vastly underated pair of brothers.......extremely talented boys.....
Greg was in friends again wae my brother in law
Really amazing song the unofficial national anthem of Glasgow unreal songwriting
Not born nor lived in Glasgow..I'm 9 miles away in Bellshill so I'm near enough to love the place .. These brilliant singing brothers Hue n Cry,.... Greg & Pat Kane are from Coatbridge just up the road from me This is by far, the best version of the song ..
I am a weegie, but the best Scottish voice I've ever been in the same room with is also from Coatbridge - J J Gilmour. What's the chances?
Lovely song this ,brings a tear to my eye every time.
I love this song , brilliant tearful uplifting song ,and I'm not a weegie,I'm an east coaster ,but this is a brilliant song about a brilliant city.
Llived in England since 1958, but I still love going back to my home city. Lived in a part Argyle St long demolished. But I get back once or twice a year to Cowcaddens, where my 94 yr old cousin lives. go to the Station Bar, Atholl arms and Lauders amongs others and have a wee swally.
Never forget your home mate lauders great pub too
Glasgow weeps for her lost weans today....gone but always with us..from a fellow Glaswegian x
Such an appropriate song x
A great dundonian who wrote a song for our Glasgow brothers and sisters
Rip Michael Marra ❤️❤️❤️
No, you’re cutting onions right now! Beautiful don’t which ALWAYS get me emotional 🥲🙂

My childhood home.
RIP Michael Marra.
I so love hue and cry! Glasgow is the best! xx
Glesga is in my blood!, love this wee tune 💖
Love this ..Best version of all ‼️
Love the city. Glasgow is a home from home.
Their mum was my health visitor as a baby! Im now a big fan of theirs.
For a while in the early 90s I was in a piano vocalist duo and I was slightly obsessed by Hue and Cry . The other main benefit of this was through this song I discovered the wonderful music, comedy and performance of Michael Marra , he got very little attention down here in England
Thoughts and prayers to all the families who were tragically involved in the devastating accident,we are in shock here in Canada watching the scenes from Glasgow.
Glasgow is a wonderful place! It's full of adventure, culture, history and light! It's one of the most beautiful places! And its not a dump, someplaces could be taken care of better but its not a dump!
Glasgow is a beautiful city , very cultured city, but it lets itself down every July,it allows this bigoted parade to go on , which would be totally barred in England,so for all this Glasgow welcome pish ,that's good as long as your not Catholic, can you imagine a band parading l.past a mosque and being allowed to shout down Allah,no it would not be allowed, but in bonnie Scotland you are still allowed to parade up and down against catholics, Scotland my arse.
... then and now, Pat still a cute guy and an exquisite singer!
A song about Glasgow written by a Dundonian, performed by the boys from Coatbridge.
Michael Marra - a one off talent who will be misssed.
I haven't seen the starlings over Glasgow for a long long time.
It's been even longer since I seen anyone wearing that angel jaiket troop/british-knights/spx sannies combo that Greg Kane is sporting either.
Great video. Happy times.
So underrated beautiful song about our glesga
So relevant today. God Bless Glasgow my home.
Lovely song , wonderful city.
Still a wonderful song
Should've been the anthem for the commonwealth games.
so underated,great band x
We need more artists like these
hue and cry are performing in vicar street this may. This kane boy has the best voice i,ve heard ever.
It is excellent but not as good as Jennifer Rush and Kate Bush in my view. Looking For Linda is one of my favourite songs. I saw them live in Leicester in early 1989.
Great song and very well sung by young Pat Kane.
I see 8 dislikes here boil your head's disliker's and listen
To the lyrics
Just a brilliant song beautiful lyrics
God bless the people involved at george sq today..... we shall get through this
My thoughts go out to all this tragedy has affected
As others have said - sublime. But then, Glasgow is prone to being sublime at any given moment.
To all the people tragically lost their lives today #clutha x may u rest in peace
And a year later in George Square.
sublime !!
Thank you for lovely music, RIP.
The best song from them
Brilliant man
Love this
in town today .. the people are stunned with respect and sadness ,, RIP people your city loves you
The Greatest City in the World, and the best people to.

Yes; I love the People but wasn't keen on the City.
TheGrowler55
ok then, thanks.
+TheGrowler55 Yeah mate best religious discrimination in the world too
+beardedscot I=Only if you think that way.
Fantastic song for a great city. It’s a shame to see the way some people treat it these days all because football is life or death. This goes for both sides of the hate brigade
A city not without its problems but it’s home and although I now live elsewhere I still get a thrill as the plane swoops in over the clyde or the intercity 125 batters that last wee bit from Motherwell to glasgow central !
If you were advising someone on the best places to see and things to do in a weekend in Glasgow, what are the highlights? Me and my wife have often thought about visiting on the train from Preston so it is not too far.
I love this, so sublime, william wallace stays alive in all of us fenians!!!!
Painted his house in Battlefield massive big flat many moon's ago when these 2 and TEXAS were all good freind's,i got to know through a wee guy from whiteinch ....Sooooo Goooood
Beautiful song, sang it drunk at new year many a time
The best x
Actually, this taken from a programme called 'This is Me Since Yesterday' a documentary looking at Glasgow in its Year of Culture.
I've managed to support Michael and Hue and Cry !
what can anyone say? - god bless all involved - such a sad day.
Idiot to call Glasgow a dump.Wonderful City Glasgow. I love it so much. Really earthy and friendly. If you dont get it,you are to be pitied.
proud to be glaswegian
225k of these views have been me. Best song
Top band.
More pertinent than ever before after the Clutha tragedy. There are many sides to this wonderful city, but its compassion and lust for life are two of its best sides!
Is its sectarianism, extraordinarily high rates of drug and alcohol abuse, and reputation for violence part of its charm too?
Ashley Docherty
All cities have their problems. Having lived many years in London & Newcastle I'd say Glasgow's problems are no better or worse than theirs.
Which city do you hail from?
R.I.P xxx
I only watched because a RUclips User liked this video last week.

The Billy and the Tim🤣 Glasgow 🏴
Born in Glasgow die in Glasgow. Love the city
Their mum was a midwife and she delivered me at my aunt and uncles house cause the ambulance drivers went on strike so she got sent up in a taxi.
ooft !!
this and Jocelyn square by
love n money
great song. this video doesn't help my vertigo though
Not quite piping in the haggis but still worthy
The people calling Glasgow a dump must live in the land of milk and honey. You must live lives of blissful ignorance. Good luck to you all!
Why do all songs about Scotland descend into arguments? Just be happy with whatever ethnicity/background/nationality you feel you belong to and let others do the same.
glasweigens assemble lol
Shite.
