Thank you Bro.. everyone who physically heard the sound appreciated. Mostly because the it is now lot louder than stock but not annoyingly loud to draw unwanted attention..
I am will be doing a similar project. Great improvement! I was curious about the little matching shield at the exhaust connection. Did that come with your kit or was that separate?
www.barrelexhaust.com/product-page/kawasaki-1000sx-decat But what they sent at first was not correct, I had to return it and requested them to make it as par stock end pipe dimensions. They were supportive and sent a new pipe with correct dimensions
Why do we continue calling it a de-cat when we are leaving the cat in place an only removing the breadbox or muffler for a truer sense of the word. It just adds confusion to the process, a de-cat is just that removal of the blasted cat plus the muffler.
Completely agree.. safest would be to take the complete assembly out and re-fix it after the job.. for that I needed to remove the fairing. Being super lazy, refrained from any extra work and thought of giving a try. From the bottom it was easy to cut, only problem was to cut from top. I used a 4" wheel, if I had a 6" wheel, I could have cut the entire thing from bottom..
I think you just screwed up the exhaust system. with 600€ you buy the whole system, keeping the original for me in case the police or the testing don't let me pass the inspection.
I don't think "screwed up" is the correct word. I didn't remove the Cat, so it wouldn't fail the pollution inspection, tried and tested. In case I need to re-fix the resonator box, I can re-weld it.. the original alignment is properly marked. The advantage is that.. the sound has become really sweet, deep base, not extremely loud but lot louder than the stock.. head turner but not too much to attract the cops..
What a great and helpful video, I really appreciate it mate! It's hard for me to buy from that website due to my location, do you think it's the same one from AliExpress that is called Fire Torch? I saw this product, but at that time Aliexpress was not delivering in India due to some restrictions on China. Yes, the cutting location is different but will give the same result
@@amroali1988 right after the welded area. In fact upto 5mm after the weld should not be a problem. After that the catalyst compound starts. Since, I didn't use that product and as you rightly mentioned, no instructions given, I would take actual measurements after receiving the product in hand, check the OD of stock pipe and ID of the aliexpress product, make sure all the dimensions are in order. Only then I would start cutting. I mentioned this because thankfully I didn't start cutting when I received the first pipe, some dimensions were off, I returned that pipe and they sent me replacement after almost 25 days. Also, use a graphite gasket in the joint, if already included then fine otherwise, order separately.
Gazab...... Truly amazing
U shud open a bike modification garage seriously.
Thank you dada
I think this is sufficient :)
Yes, it's about 6 bikes worth you put on there :)
Good job mate, sounds lovely!

My anxiety level went through the roof watching you cut. 😅 I'm curious, how much did the CAT Convertor weigh ?????
Uffff❤
Brilliant work. Like How she is screaming 😋
thank you bhai
I actually just did this today with my 2023 n1k.. turned out a whole lot louder. But i was running no muffler, just an exhaust pipe
Well done, can you please link where you got the pipe from? Can’t find on web site on my own! Thanks a lot!

Use a reciprocation saw

Take fairings off would be easier lol
Sucks you hit the engine with the grinder 5 times. Sawzall would have been slower but safer.
