- In the previous video, I explored simple gatlings and combos with I-no just to get an overall view of I-No's toolkit and her special moves. In this video, I'm going to dive in a bit deeper by working with I-No's hover dash, exploring her strengths and weaknesses, and learning more combos.
Please note, that I am still noobish to Strive. This is rather me examining and exploring I-No's toolkit and strategy. I will gladly take advice from other higher I-No players!
Hope you enjoy ANOTHER lengthy video of me exploring the potential of I-No.
For Sultry Performance, all variations can be cancelled out and put you in an airborne state if you press the same button you used to do the move. the HS variation usually does three hits uncharged, and allows you to follow up with j.S usually if you cancel after the third hit successfully. the S and K versions are definitely safer on miss or if you get blocked, allowing you to immediately enter a low guard if so. I have bad muscle memory constantly following up MLA with 236HS, that's most of the time safe unless the opponent doesn't get launched far/ enough upwards/I'm too far away, in that case I have to do 236S or air dash into j.S.
Also a pretty new strive player, I'm about a week deep on I-no after playing as chipp and potemkin for a while. She's cool but that hoverdash is WEIRD to get used to. Having a newer players perspective on her is honestly crazy helpful compared to the super in depth guides that are hard to digest. Looking forward to more!
@retrowaffles5442 Thank you for the kind words! If I'm not too tired from work today, I'll show some online matches of playing I-No. And yes, hearing from a newer player analyze from their main or a playing trying to main a new character is definitely an interesting approach for people who want to get into fighting games in general!
