It is so interesting how Diana gathered her fans from all over the world, where people even do not know each other, or much about each other's culture they were brought up in but coming to the same conclusions about the quality of enchanting voice of this super adorable outstandingly talented artist!

The smile at the end is so joyful . It touches my heart every time.
I am 64, I live in Arizona. I took vocal lessons as a child and in high school. Though music has all ways been a part of my life, I don't sing much except when alone or in church. However, I got chills, goosebumps, and tears in my eyes the first time I heard "Rechenka" & "Wicked Game". She is her own style. She easily passes from Russian Pop, Native Siberian, Jazz Scat, Russian Folk, and just pure Joy! And she's a contralto (miraculous)! I would like to see her attempt classical singing. In any case, the world is much more beautiful to me, now that I know she is in it.

Christi, last year Diana told us, due to Puberty she has lost a lot of her upper Range and was devastated because she wasn't able to sing all these Songs anymore you heard on the TV Show .. Since last Year she worked hard with a new Vocal Coach to regain her Upper Range and this "Take on me" was to Showcase her Improvement ..
Atm she is studying for an Important Exam that will enable her to enter University .. she wants to study Music, especially Singing and also Song-Writing /Producing/Arranging etc. and pursue a career in this field, she told us she wants to dedicate her life fully to Music (she said this recently in a Video answering Questions from Fans)
She also promised to learn more English in order to communicate with her international Fans ..
Thanks again - love your input on this treasure. Yes, and isnt the last note delightful? Soaring, shimmering and clear! Diana has also done a recording of Havana at home - a complete sea-change and very amusing while the voice is still clean and pure. My favourite line "Stop it, Diana!"

Beautiful 'chocolate undertones' in her voice. Such range! Wow! What an incredible ability she has to move between registers and octaves and resonance! Wow. Your delight was fun to see, as always. There were a couple of silent seconds of you without audio around 3:50 but in a way it added charm to the authenticity of this all. Isn't it fun how we're all human, and how many of us are working from home, with the technology we have and are grateful for, without too many bells and whistles, stripped down to the basics of connection and talent? The so-called imperfection made me smile. Because it was so perfectly placed, too. Thank you! :)

Rasul Gamzatov was an Avar (one of the nations that populated the former USSR and Russia). After a while he visited the monument.
Impressed by this story, he wrote a poem in his mother tongue, Avar.
Gamzatov's friend and classmate at the literary institute, Naum Grebnev, translated this poem into Russian.
Then Mark Bernes noticed the poem. Mark Arkadevich asked Jan Frenkel to compose music.
The vocalization was finished after 2 months. Mark Bernes, after listening to the music, started to rush everyone because he felt that his time was running out. He wanted to end his life with this song. On July 8, 1969, the son brought Mark to the studio, where he was once able to record a song. This record was the last in his life.
Mark Bernes died on August 16 (he had cancer).
Rasul Gamzatov later wrote: "... The words of this song ... had a specific address - to the millions who died who did not return from the battlefields of the Second World War. ... but at the same time I see no reasons why it is impossible
to dedicate the cranes to the victims of wars of all times ”.
The crane theme can also be inspired by a visit to a memorial to a Japanese girl named Hiakima Sasaki in Hiroshima who suffered from leukemia after the atomic explosion in Hiroshima.
Sadako Sasaki hoped that she would be healed
if she made a thousand paper cranes with the art of origami. In Asia, there is a belief that a person's wish is fulfilled when he folds a thousand origami cranes from colored paper.(Google translator)

But this is not a cover, it is specially composed for Diana. And it is not a home record. It was made in a professional studio. I like probably everyone else wishes the song was longer but I love her version, especially the wordless vocal section. I have heard something very similar but can't place it now.
Yeah! Her wordless vocal remind me Pink Floyd " Dark side of the Moon" in high register. 5 to 10seconds or more.
