Hi Thomas! Thank you, this was a cool double reaction. :D I recommend "Angels Calling", another duet they did with Apocalyptica! The cellos sound awesome in that. The official music video is neat.
Oh, I definitely second Angels Calling. The version together with Apocalyptica is a remake of an older Sabaton song. I liked the old Angels Calling, but the new one together with Apocalyptica is absolutely breathtaking. When that song came out, I just couldn't stop listening to it. I still get goosebumps 🖤🤘🏻
Again, great reaction Thomas! And indeed, songs about war and battles have this patriotic and euphoric feel around them, like a lot of songs by Manowar, and the German band Sodom.
My girlfriend saw Apocalyptica onstage in France 2 years ago, they were amazing she told me ! Edit: By the way, Verdun Battle is one of the worst battle here in France, so much death... they honored them by playing this song, so much commitment...
As a fan of metal music and military history from an early age, Sabaton are my perfect metal band with incredible music, subject material and a singer who is amazing. They are my favourite band who have even a military history channel wow what a great band. I love them and them not only remembering and teaching military history but also remembering those men and women who faught or did heroic things in their lives, but most importantly of all telling there stories and keeping their memories alive also teaching the younger generation. Hi Adrian, thank you very much! I couldn't agree more with your description of Sabaton. I think it's important to understand, remember and respect these historical events that have shaped our world. The fact that they can tell these stories with such epic music is just a pure joy. Cheers mate, take care. 😀🤘
There was no machine, the flag was held by people from Pokojowy Patrol (Peace Patrol - volunteers helping with Woodstock Festival), and I have no idea how they managed to pull it back, probably first rows of people helped to do this :) being under it I only remember helping it move forward/backward :D
ALWAYS REMEMBER THE FALLEN SOLDIER! they sacrificed their LIVES so we now can live as free people, can you pay a bigger price? No. My grandpa fought in Warsaw uprising, he survived, but I never met him because he died in the day I was born. My mother lost her first son, he lived 3 days, so she says my grandpa died so that I could live. I do not think my name will be known in the entire world, but I will change the world, just because I live. We all matter, we are the change, but we must fight and NEVER GIVE UP.
About woodstock man, You don't even know about Jurek Owsiak, whole woodstock thing is his child, He is and was always frontman of it, always on stage, screaming and cheering, talking and talking, after three days of festival his voice is... almost non existent but still He is there to cheer the crowd up, to say thank You, to san Watch out, to introduce bands... The only live song I've heard that isn't tuned down from the original is "Swedish Pagans." Speaking of which, you should definitely react to that song too, it's about the badass VIKINGS, bro!

Crazy pyro! I keep wondering who brought the marshmallows? Joakim's style of singing is ALL OUT!!! So his vocal chords could get strained if he doesn't take care. Wouldn't be surprised if they shifted things down a tad to make it a bit easier. Metal is HARD on singers! Yeah, Sabaton are BIG in Poland. Sabaton is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
Absolutely, it must be such a strain on his voice so it makes sense. Still such incredible energy and power. Hope they will tour North America again as soon as possible.
It was 40:1 that MADE Sabaton big in Poland - they weren't until then, and it was a (now lost, thankyou RUclips) fan video which went viral and made it happen. The battle of Wizna had been almost lost to Polish history, but Sabaton brought it to the fore, and it is now in Polish textbooks, which actually cite Sabaton. They now refer to it as Polskie Termopile - the Polish Thermopylӕ, and the commander, Captain Wladyslaw Raginis has been recognised as a national hero - he swore that he would hold the position as long as he lived, and when they ran out of ammunition and every single survivor was seriously wounded (including himself), he ordered the few remaining men to surrender their arms and then waited for the German forces himself, with a grenade held between his chin and neck and his head bowed. The actual ratio was something like 60:1 - 20 officers and 700 enlisted conscripts (although that was the listed/authorised strength, so may have not been up to complement - some say only 360 positions were filled), with 12 bunkers (6 heavy), 6 artillery pieces (75mm), 42 machine guns, 24 of them heavy, and two anti-tank rifles with 10 rounds for each, against 1,200 officers, 41,000 enlisted men, 350 tanks, 108 howitzers 58 other artillery pieces, 195 anti-tank guns, 108 mortars, 188 grenade launchers and 977 machine guns, 288 of which were heavy, and an unknown number of aircraft including fighters to strafe and Stukas dive-bombing. The battle was crucial in allowing many Polish forces to escape encirclement by the Wehrmacht. It is estimated that 70 Poles survived the battle, although this is uncertain owing to the lack of German records. The German General, Heinz Guderian, wrote in his diaries that 900 of his men were killed in action, in addition, at least ten tanks, and a number of other armoured fighting vehicles were lost. The official music video was filmed on the site of the battle and directed by a descendant of Captain Wladyslaw Raginis. The Sabaton history channel (which I strongly recommend) actually has two episodes about the battle and song, here: ruclips.net/video/Qpb8gTSMUbo/видео.html (their very first episode) and here: ruclips.net/video/g9FkltlnM0M/видео.html which also deals with the aftermath.
