- On December 30th, 2022, officers responded to an altercation. According to the victim, he and his girlfriend arrived at a house to drop off her sister. While standing at the door, he saw the male in question go inside the kitchen and then charge at him with a knife. The suspect was able to stab the victim’s neck after which, he ran back to the car in order to save himself and drove to the hospital. Soon, the officers asked everyone to evacuate the house for investigation. The officers eventually found the room where the suspect was hiding. He tried to run but the officers were attentive and caught him immediately. The male was charged with attempted second degree murder.

Guy randomly stabs someone in the house, and all those people just chill in the house watching TV like it's a regular night? What in the world is wrong with people?
Remember: most people's brains are so empty they do not have an internal monologue. Google it. You know that little voice in your head that narrates your thoughts? The thing that allows you to reason and argue with yourself to work out concepts? The majority of the population doesn't have that. They think in images and concepts and feelings. Those people in that house literally could not come to the conclusion that they're in a bad scenario. Their brains aren't capable of comprehending it.

I’m blown away that this guy stabbed someone in the neck and no one in the house felt like they needed to call 911 or leave the home. They even had children in there, what if he had decided to hurt more people.

I have so many questions. Why didn't the girlfriend drive him to the hospital? Why is everyone still hanging out in the house like nothing happened after the stabbing? Why did the mother look so exasperated when the officer asked everyone to evacuate the house?
I'm assuming he just got in the driver seat and she didn't understand exactly what happened. It was so random. And the fact that he didn't initially know he was stabbed they just left and at that point its just drive. Dude is crazy. But the family just chilling after a household member stabs someone. Idk I guess just brain dead or just used to chaos. Or maybe they just were as unsure of what happened it seemed so random and everyone was calm. Probably assumed it wasn't bad and don't want to get their family in trouble. Just pretend like nothing happened.

2007 My husband thought he was having a heart attack. I didn't want to risk driving him in case he coded... I'm a retired paramedic.
Over 20 mins waiting for ambulance with chest pains and a heart rate of 29 bpm.
First question he asked my husband was if he was pregnant FFS. The EMT was having a fit due to a recent policy change. Wasting time and being unprofessional.
Wish I'd drove him myself but doing CPR, alone, on the side of the road is no picnic and sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to live.
@@notme2day The two times that there was a call for an ambulance to my mothers house, they failed to find the house both times. First time at least was pre-GPS, but second time was just few years ago. I had to flag the ambulance down and guide them to the house.

Thank god the officers got him into custody before he was able to harm one of the little kids staying at that house. This man is mentally ill but should not be out of jail if he is not on medication that helps him control his aggression.

I am half-Hispanic and have a lot of experience dealing with non-native (to the USA) Hispanics while working as a police officer in a major metropolitan area. Everyone seems shocked the family and witnesses did not call the police after the stabbing. The reason they most likely did not call the police is because they did not want to draw attention to the group because at least some of them were in the country illegally. And the guy who didn't stab someone but is eventually handcuffed is a good example of how NOT to respond to police, even when you are innocent of a suspected crime. When the police walk up to you, tell you to get out of the vehicle, and put the phone down, THAT is what you do. You DON'T ask "Why?", stay in the vehicle, and keep the phone in your hands.
Yeah it really makes no sense why people have to be so combative. The really funny thing is is that he acted in a way that I've seen the actual criminals act as well, which honestly makes it really feel like it's a lifestyle choice to just be combative with the police for no reason.

@@FransceneJK98I retired before my department wore body cams, so I don't know. It might be the portable hand-held radio you hear making the sounds, not the camera.

For a lot of people that's exactly how schizophrenia works. It would take knowing his medical history to know the odds, but it is entirely possible he was hearing voices to tell him to do this. Probable, actually, most people with schizophrenia who commit bizarre random acts of violence are giving into the commands in an effort to get them to stop. What you hear as an excuse could also be an attempt at explaining himself.

I always wonder what part of "put your phone down" people don't understand!! It seems like so many people feel like they should be able to continue using their phone. At least we know now that this was a psychological exteme, onset by medical reasons and fear (visual and auditory hallucinations from Schizophrenia). He was likely seeing some terrible things and acted in self defense; Not some heinous act of attempted murder.
