    That first horse was totally amazing and looked like he was floating on air. That was just amazing training of a beautiful animal. Bravo! The only issue was as a first time observer, it seems to me the young men running along beside or behind the horse always look like they are about to fall and be dragged along by the horse, or they look as if they are distracting the horse by holding their head in such a tight appearing position. At times, they seem to disrupt the horse's concentration and their gait as a consequence. You have probably been doing it this way for eons, and again, I am a first time observer, and this is just my humble opinion, but the men in white actually distracted me from watching the horse. It seems to me you could place them in a standing chariot of some type like the Roman's used and we could still see the beauty of the various horse's gaits without wondering if the man in white would survive the exercise.

    • @mageofdoomsie1598
      @mageofdoomsie1598 5 лет назад +3

      otterbeans some horses, like Friesians, have different gaits and how they kick their legs up. They are trained to exaggerate these natural movements for a bigger performance. You can see the beginnings of a classic Friesian gait in the goals they show, that’s how you know it’s natural. Paso Finos, Tennessee walking horses, And Icelandic ponies are all famous for their unique gaits, though the abuse in the TWH breeding and show business is awful. I wouldn’t recommend looking it up, it makes me sick to even watch it.

      If horses chew on the bit there will come white froth. It's a good sign. If the tongue is hanging out. It can be that the horse did have his tongue above the bit. It has to be under there bit.

    Ik krijg nu echt de behoefte om een fries lekker lang en laag te zien lopen. In plaats van rug wegduwen door het hoofd constant zo hoog te dragen. Prachtige gangen, maar vind het veel mooier om ze in alle vrijheid te zien, zonder dat dr mensen aan bitten lopen te trekken en met zwepen achter ze aan te rennen.... Waarom gaan we met deze dieren om alsof het showobjecten zijn waarvan het belangrijkste doel is dat ze aan onze wensen voldoen... bah

    This poor horse would have endured a life time off bullying and tapping tap whip, tap whip all its life to get it to this. And to hey still need a long whip. I didn't realise what it took till someone educated me on what it takes from a foul. Very unnatural for a horse to stride like this. And the big question is WHY. stupid men.

    • @sharoneastwood.1025
      @sharoneastwood.1025 5 лет назад

      @Roel Veenema you know you are one hundred percent right about that it's not a crime. But it's evil and cruel to man or beast or child to make them do something unnatural to do. Also just because it's legal it doesn't make it right. And I know what I'd rather be.

    • @sharoneastwood.1025
      @sharoneastwood.1025 5 лет назад

      @Roel Veenema you've missed the point totally in your nastyness against me by telling me to get educated. I'm very well educated than you. And I never said that the breeder of those perticular horses tortured them. I said the practice of what those horses are trained to do is unnatural and that they are sometimes and usually bullied and hit with a stick from being small fouls. And that I did not agree. You've let your emotions and anger get the better of you. Which isn't a bad thing, you just targeted the wrong person and got rude.

    • @sharoneastwood.1025
      @sharoneastwood.1025 5 лет назад

      @Roel Veenema There is obviously something wrong with you. As you seem like your looking for trouble and to argue. To say what country we come from as nothing to do with having an opinion on a grown up forum. If your so sensitive to these kind of options and thoughts it's best you don't read them. You can come back on this reply and you can be as nasty as you want but we won't be interacting with you any more. In case your a child. Have a very nice day.

      @@sharoneastwood.1025 I doubt it's that bad. They are still spirited and act happy to do it. You would think that would be lost if they were persecuted as badly as you think. If you see them run in the field with no human, they still move like that.

    Those giant feet take away from the elegance of the breed.

      I don't think that! Friesians have big zaftig bodies. Their feet are the right size for the big baroque beauties.

      They have giant feet because they are a very large breed, a multipurpose breed, for draft, cart, parkhorse and pleasure. They are very tall, approx 17 to 18 hands.
