The story is actually pretty underrated. It synthesizes modern cult mind control practices with mystico-spriritual beliefs in a novel, intriguing, and creepy way. I was drawn into the story, and looked forward to those forced captures so I could learn more about the true nature of the cult's leaders.
TDotSouthpaw I thought all the siblings had great backstory, and good character development (just wish we could've seen more of them lol). John was actually my favourite of the siblings. John>Joseph>Faith>Jacob. They're all tormented in their own ways
Tr1pleZero Agreed Ubisoft really missed out on a ton of things that could have made this game legendary, but they made up for it with Faith, She is by far the best Far Cry character in the franchise and that's saying something coming from a guy who absolutely adored Pagan, She is the perfect character who not only has an amazing personality but beautiful story along with her adorable self tbh at first I thought she was going to be another Yuma where she would just constantly annoy the fuck out of you and drug you from behind and all that bullshit and I'm really glad she wasn't
I just got done playing this part in the game and immediately came to RUclips to watch the cut scene again. I’m glad I’m not the only one who was completely captivated by the entire thing. Truly a work of art.
When I killed her, I did it without hesitation, I just stayed focused on the mission and did what I had to do but after it was over, that is when I took it all in then felt depressed for a while because she was innocent with a troubled past.

Jean Marron they aren’t right to kill innocent people, that’s what y’all don’t understand about far cry 5, literally all of them are completely insane. They kill anyone that isn’t in the cult, they poison water and animals to use against people, they burn down homes and buildings and they don’t let anyone leave hope county. The only reason why Joseph was right was because he heard threats of war on the news and then he made his stupid little cult
@The Professor i think hes talking about their actions. sure they're right, but there were so many better ways of going about things then literally a cult martial law.
@The Professor oh that i get, no one in their right mind would join a cult lmao and yeah faith was definitely trapped in her own "reality" or what she perceived as true happiness/bliss.

Here I am again, watching this at nearly one in the morning. I see her another time and still feel sad, just thinking of her. I think I finally understand Faith Seeds message... She was cast out by her community at such a young age. She was alone, sad and YOUNG. She took a needle for help because she didn't know anyone close to talk to, or discuss emotion. But, "Then she met the father". Everything was made sense to Faith. She's full of love and life, and meaning. She was tested by the Father, to take a "leap of faith". She took it, and was reborn as a bright and beautiful angel of prosperity in hope and became 'Faith' itself, and herself. She doesn't want us to be in pain, she doesn't want us to feel alone like she was. She wishes us to have faith and meaning, because without that drive or meaning to motivate us in life, who are we? Who are we? I myself have made mistakes in the past, regrettable mistakes that give me a nervous twitch somedays. A twitch that is triggered by the thought that I can't change what Iv done. Faith has made mistakes, with reason. Same as me, or you... Only you know your drives and only you can be heard truly by you, but Faith is saying there is always meaning and faith that will always be with you/me, as long as we have faith at that moment. All actions have consequences. Even the good ones. But if you believe in yourself and take that leap of faith in your life, being spontaneous or different for just a moment, you will find true meaning as truth will prevail from only You. So you gotta be true to yourself. It doesn't matter how better someone may be over you, or worse. What matters is what you believe in life. I don't care what people say about her, Faith is a young woman with pride, faith and spirit. Id take the leap now, if I truly came across someone as beautiful, free and clean of everything that is negative to go against my free will ♥📙 💒
Matt Giesler thank you, we all have made mistakes in life. Faith will always be there, no matter what. Just don't give up, always find a lighter shade.
Neo Taylor You never fail to show your Faith. You will always be welcome to the Gates of Eden and the Path is always open to you and The Bliss is always blink away, and of course I'll never be to far away
As far as I'm concerned, this scene is a masterpiece. Performance capture was amazing, especially when she grabs our hands and tries to start telling her story and we see her looking down and those subtle eye movements, as she prepares to tell something that has greatly scarred her. Was the performance done by the same actress that lends Faith her voice ? A beautiful voice at that, perfect cast for Faith. And the music is just perfect. Fits perfectly in this scene...absolute masterpiece! Ubisoft, I congratulate you for this beautiful scene. All other cut scenes are amazing too, but this one is special. It's so original, so emotional and captivating. No one with a heart is left unchanged after watching this scene. However Ubisoft, given that you created so many interesting characters in this game, both villains and "good guys and girls", I have to ask: SPOILERS AHEAD. DON'T READ IF YOU DON?T WANT TO BE SPOILED Why did you not include a good ending ? I understand you had a plan for "New Dawn", but characters are so interesting and great in this FarCry, why kill them all like this ? We could at least have an option to have a good ending...that's my only complaint. Otherwise, amazing game!
hardest video game villain to kill in my opinion just reading the notes and the phone calls I felt bad killing her especially after hearing her back story she was abused by her real family and adoptive parents she even stated she was drugged by joseph seed If only there was a way to sub due her without killing her and setting her free but no thank God it's just a video game cause I can't kill such a beautiful face
avalon 269 ikr! When i had to fight her the entire time i was say "Don't make me do this!!" But i noticed something when i started the boss fight Faith didn't attack me until I started shooting her so that got me thinking maybe Ubisoft put a secret way to defeating Faith so i reset my game and didn't attack her this time and she just hovered there
Everyone involved in creating this masterpiece needs a raise. And a medal. The composer, the writers, the voice actress, the people who stitched it all together into this moment of pure emotion. Also, knowing what happens later, you can't help but feel a bit sad for Faith. She's so full of hope and reverence here, painting the Father as her personal savior. In her final moments... not so much.
and trun people into mindless zombies when she sayed don't interfer into the bliss tank i went and blow up the shit out of it to show her you can't fool me with that talk of nonsense
Ive never had SO MUCH TROUBLE of telling myself to finish a section of a game. I was like, "maybe she turns good?" "Maybe i can join her?" I didnt WANT to fight her. And after you defeat her and she tells you the truth... It just made me tear up because she herself was horrifically brainwashed and it was so sad 😭😭😭
I actually think you missunderstood when she tells you the "truth". She was trying to kill you, but when she realized that she was losing she tried to manipulate you one last time by making you feel sorry for her. So she wasn't actually telling the truth. That's why she's such a dangerous villain, because people fall so deeply for her beauty and lies.
@@UnbeknownJuls I think maybe YOU missed something and haven't payed attention to game evidence. All of her "stories" is confirmed true INCLUDING her final plea in the fight so yes she is telling the truth and she is brainwashed to the max herself. You are told all the time by the resistance(people who are against her, how weird) that she is a liar and manipulator, but the point is that she is equally lied to and manipulated herself and that she REALLY is a tragic character with a big victim complex. It is actually very obvious all things considered.
@@mightychosen2587 that’s true I feel bad for her but at the same time I found it unacceptable that she was transforming people into these monsters. But I still feel her pain.
She was really the only one of the seed family I I did not want to fight. Joseph twisted her mind with more drugs turning her into what she became. If anyone was truly the manipulator in the scenario, it was him.
It was sort of 50/50... I mean, obviously it has the same name but the leap of faith could refeer to the deputy manipulated to trust Faith or you know, how Faith became who she is since it's her introduction scene.
Far Cry seems to have a very gifted team of writers - This scene was absolutely amazing, right up there with some of the scenes from FC3, like Vaas talking about insanity, or Jason realizing he is a monster. Absolutely fantastic work.
the father it’s not even bad, shoot even though she dies in a hail of bullets she led a much better life with people who accepted her for who she was and gave her faith in herself
The Analysts he ignored crying over her at first because he thought he knew every hue of God’s plan and her purpose in it...but purpose or not losing Faith literally makes you doubt 😭
Jenessa Grant did an amazing job with Faith. Her sweet and soft voice that turns to a whisper or her emphasis on certain words is just so hypnotic. The music and visuals of this segment are so unique and is still one of my favorites in gaming. Far Cry 5 had so much love and care put into its story, visuals, soundtrack, and characters. New Dawn and 6 just didn't do it for me.
I watched this video on pills one time and I thought I went to heaven man had good headphones big screens and I was absolutely off my face it was amazing
I had just had my wisdom teeth removed before I aged this so I was still out of work and on Hydrocodone. All I did for 3 days was play Farcry 5. If I got tired I'd just lean over and sleep, wake up and resume. I only ever got up to use the bathroom as my mom brought me food. All I experienced 3 days was this world. John's region, I thought was cool. Faith's I did last and I loved it. On Hydro, Jacob's region was horrifying. The pills amped up the experienced in ways I can't describe. Long story short, this game is 10 times better on Hydro
I was thinking if I am insane that I was actually touched by this scene. She is abolutely insane but at the same time pure and innocent like a child. Such a great game.
She is not really insane but just brainwashed and traumatized since a young age into believing she really helps people with bliss so her young innocence is just the naive person of her who does the only thing she knows and ever got a chance to believe. I mean you can say insane in a way since she is wiped on bliss but not really as she clearly understands and realize her mistakes when she snaps out of her blissed up vision.
@@vendetta3941 why don't more people feel this way? It's fairly obvious Ubisoft wanted to portray Faith as a tragic villain. I seriously can't fathom how people don't believe her story about her past. It's pretty much confirmed by Joseph in Faith's eulogy.
radioheadinc Who gives a fuck? I find it odd that people be like “oh she’s not real tho, how can you find her hot?”. People know she’s not real, but these characters are made to be attractive, like Quiet from MGS, that bitch is made to be sexy and she is that.
Completing John and Jacob regions before Faiths is the best way to play the game, after all the chaos you go through with John and Jacob, Faith makes you second guess if everything you did was worth the bloodshed and that all of this could have been avoided if you just walked away in the beginning...
With so many sadistic badass villains in the Far Cry series, it's nice to have a pretty and gentle villainess once in a while. Faith Seed remains one of my favorite villainess in the Far Cry installments so far.
Far cry 5 Is easily the best at Immersing you, Each member makes you feel and act a different way, I remember entering faiths region and being in awe at the environment, the music, the bliss, Then she would come along and dance along river sides or fields of flowers.
She's the last one i have to kill..........but how can i kill someone as beautiful as her, she's so innocent i don't want to bring any harm to her 😢 When the time comes to pull the trigger idk if ill be able to do it Edit: What have i done.......i feel terrible.........Ubisoft wtf did you make me do! 😢
Faith im so sorry i never wanted to kill you your beautiful and i will walk the path to eden any time just as long as you dont die and you will be in our hearts forever
Probs one of the few one's but I always wished that just like Joseph brainwashed his lieutenants that you could have the option of persuading them to join you as guns for hire as Faith with a redemption arc is something i'd find interesting especially as even in her final moments its not clear as to whether she's lying so i'd loved for her story to have carried on. So when you beat a lieutenant you could choose to kill them and get thier signature weapon as your own or spare them and get them as a gun for hire.
A poem for faith: After defeating John, Jacob seed as their final breath draws, I come to a new valley and see a beautiful woman with an interesting lure. I follow the path to faith and realize a dangerous leap, I take that leap of faith, with Faith Seed in my heart ♥ and weep. The angels call to me on our next encounter, I see Joseph as a prophet, A story of destruction that comes soon, no one can stop it. But I have faith in You, Faith. As I venture further with pride, When I hear your voice calling out to me as I play, I feel there's nothing to hide. Destroying your statue and shrines was not truly intended from me, I just had to, to hear from your loving voice, soft as the blue sea. I come close to the end, I realize Iv made a horrible mistake, As the mision said... "confront Faith", i knew what journey next to take. After being killed by faith many times in the boss fight, I realized I couldn't save her or help her, I hated every part of me from what I did next, As I drove a dagar, regrettably, in her chest. I actually cried at that moment, as you spoke... "why?" On the other side of the game, I was saying "sorry, sorry, so sorry Faith, I never wanted it to be this way (as I slowly cry 😢) " I love you Faith, I miss you Faith and i beg for ubisoft to make a dlc to join you" I will always have faith in your future rolls as characters, as you pass your beautiful, loving voice onto the next. I hope you've read this, and I give great thank you to reading 📖 I also give a thank you to Ubisoft, the voice actors of John, Jacob and Joseph Seed, your performance was outstanding, and Faith... You were beautiful 😍 ♥

The Far Cry devs and Faith's voice actress are the true manipulators here. What a powerful scene, with so many hooks in it. Truly mesmerizing. Also, the mangled corpses littered across the blood stained rocks when you wake up was a nice touch. A little reminder of the atrocities she's causing, so you don't forget she's a villain.

The story is actually pretty underrated. It synthesizes modern cult mind control practices with mystico-spriritual beliefs in a novel, intriguing, and creepy way. I was drawn into the story, and looked forward to those forced captures so I could learn more about the true nature of the cult's leaders.
I agree... the story was amazing... I didn't care much for John, but Faith, Jacob and Joseph's parts were amazing...
I agree, I would join the cult any day to tag along with Faith 😊 🌸
Same. Started reading comments and found out how hard it hit everyone else too. This is so well done. It's captivating.
I wanted to save Faith, not kill her.
Eh she made multiple people kill themselves so I had no problem putting her in the ground no matter how bad her childhood was
When I killed her, I did it without hesitation, I just stayed focused on the mission and did what I had to do but after it was over, that is when I took it all in then felt depressed for a while because she was innocent with a troubled past.
Yea there was no other choice but to kill her. It's like I don't feel innocent.
Well aren’t you just a hardo?

Oh that was such a touching story, i regret having to kill her.....

WE FOUGHT ON THE WRONG SIDE!
So you say PEG Cult is good? Well they, kill, brainwash and torture people. Sooo.... Well they are that way good about saving people but.
YES!
Three words would have saved them.
Just say yes.
@@SeOikeaEedsku They kill, brainwash and torture those that resist or attack. Those bodies of people at the feet of the statue probably were those that did not want to jump, those that resist faith and kill followers get killed. If everybody would join there would be no horror.
But by cult's perspective may sinners live or not it does not matter because their (Sinners) souls are lost, and those horrific actions are an effective way to save their souls, and by hearing those that have absolutly no faith and those that hate religion and want to ban it everywhere... these seem to be the only ways. How can you convert/ save the souls of God hating atheists? The only ways I can imagine are those same horrific actions, minus killing.Brainwash and torture can change anyone's mind.
The peggies were evil but right so both sides are as bad as each other
@@seanoreilly40 Faith was manipulated as well
The sad thing is: She´s right. All of them are right.
Jacobs right about the strong reigning over the weak its just the laws of nature
Jacob, John and Faith were supposed to die. Only Joseph knew all the time.

Her back story is so depressing, poor Rachel
Id take the leap now, if I truly came across someone as beautiful, free and clean of everything that is negative to go against my free will ♥📙 💒
Neo Taylor Wise words brother wise words indeed 👏
Wow. That was beautiful.
Matt Giesler thank you, we all have made mistakes in life. Faith will always be there, no matter what.
Just don't give up, always find a lighter shade.
Neo Taylor At this rate you could become the next Morgan Freeman with all these motivational speaches you're giving lol
However Ubisoft, given that you created so many interesting characters in this game, both villains and "good guys and girls", I have to ask:
SPOILERS AHEAD. DON'T READ IF YOU DON?T WANT TO BE SPOILED
Why did you not include a good ending ? I understand you had a plan for "New Dawn", but characters are so interesting and great in this FarCry, why kill them all like this ? We could at least have an option to have a good ending...that's my only complaint. Otherwise, amazing game!
Masterpiece indeed!!!
I wish we could've joined the cult, I wanted to stay with Faith. I was so brainwashed by the bliss
Can u help me out please I have no story missions in faith's region. I am currently on the 16th mission it would mean ÀLOT to me
That's one of my main issues. Why can't we....I don't know... arrest the region leaders. I mean we are a deputy.
hardest video game villain to kill in my opinion just reading the notes and the phone calls I felt bad killing her especially after hearing her back story she was abused by her real family and adoptive parents she even stated she was drugged by joseph seed If only there was a way to sub due her without killing her and setting her free but no thank God it's just a video game cause I can't kill such a beautiful face
avalon 269 ikr! When i had to fight her the entire time i was say "Don't make me do this!!" But i noticed something when i started the boss fight Faith didn't attack me until I started shooting her so that got me thinking maybe Ubisoft put a secret way to defeating Faith so i reset my game and didn't attack her this time and she just hovered there
Amazing scene, so beautiful with a great music. I love the alucinations of farcry 3, 4 and 5
Everyone involved in creating this masterpiece needs a raise.
Not gonna lie, I was disappointed by John and Jacob Seed, but Faith's scene was amazing
callahaine100 My bois were hella interesting shhh
I loved Johns Version! Just because he was recruiting people on TV made it kinda cool
I wasn’t impressed with Jacobs but I did somewhat enjoy Johns. I genuinely like Faiths tho.
Jacob is my favorite he was not a disappointment to me
Underrated Prince I loved Faith, she is so inspiring to me
i think faith is a good person. she was never a villain. really felt for what she is going through. 😢
and trun people into mindless zombies when she sayed don't interfer into the bliss tank i went and blow up the shit out of it to show her you can't fool me with that talk of nonsense
@Beast Mode I didn’t feel too bad when the Marshal died but it hurt when he killed Vergil
I guess you should watch Joseph seed in farcry 6 and see the truth...
Everybody gangsta till they realize theyve been hypnotized for the past 3 and a half minutes.
2:55 I dont know why, but this scene made shivers down my spine.
The way she pauses, looks down, and gains composure before telling her story.
This is bigger than a game !! This is simply A Masterpiece!!!!! The words, the cadence, the music…. Perfect .!
This is so sad when you realise in reality Father just abused and drugged her to the point she became numb and did exactly what he wanted.
Nobody's gonna talk about that assassins creed reference, leap of faith.
It was sort of 50/50... I mean, obviously it has the same name but the leap of faith could refeer to the deputy manipulated to trust Faith or you know, how Faith became who she is since it's her introduction scene.
Leap of Faith wasn’t coined by Assassins Creed. That particular turn of phrase existed long before any video game.
I don't think the deputy sayed those stuff in the boat it was faith
Far Cry seems to have a very gifted team of writers - This scene was absolutely amazing, right up there with some of the scenes from FC3, like Vaas talking about insanity, or Jason realizing he is a monster. Absolutely fantastic work.
None of them would get me into the cult, except for Faith. She'd have me in seconds.
I’m inclined to believe her...it sounds like something Joseph would do
the father it’s not even bad, shoot even though she dies in a hail of bullets she led a much better life with people who accepted her for who she was and gave her faith in herself
Joseph Seed quote- "judge not, and you will not be judged. Condemn not, and you will not be condemned. Forgive... and you will be forgiven" 📙
the father Yes, I'm strong. Yes, I have faith and yes... I believe 📙
He cared about her more than people think, he practically shuts down during his eulogy...you can feel a deep sense of loss and sadness
I love that she genuinely makes people happy, regardless of what their bodies are doing their minds are at peace in the bliss. I want that

I mean you can say insane in a way since she is wiped on bliss but not really as she clearly understands and realize her mistakes when she snaps out of her blissed up vision.
literally she is my life, no one want to know my strugle...
Oh i know your pain bro , you aren't alone

@@vendetta3941 why don't more people feel this way? It's fairly obvious Ubisoft wanted to portray Faith as a tragic villain. I seriously can't fathom how people don't believe her story about her past. It's pretty much confirmed by Joseph in Faith's eulogy.
Far cry 5 is def one of my favorites with the music and theme and just everything about it
I like Faith, because i can relate, being abused, seeing my family torn apart.
THAT WENT FROM 0 TO 100 REAL QUICK
I'm sorry but Faith is hot
Lmao I thought I was the only one 😂
I think video game graphics have become good enough for us to admit she's hot
And not real
radioheadinc Who gives a fuck? I find it odd that people be like “oh she’s not real tho, how can you find her hot?”. People know she’s not real, but these characters are made to be attractive, like Quiet from MGS, that bitch is made to be sexy and she is that.

My heart broke when I saw her face bleeding after battle with her in the bliss.

Far Cry 5 had some great villains, especially faith and John. I just wish the entire story hadn't been told through repeated kidnapping and releases.

I know, what you think, that I have lost my mind..but I fell in love with Faith...
So when you beat a lieutenant you could choose to kill them and get thier signature weapon as your own or spare them and get them as a gun for hire.
i would only walk the path for Faith
This is gaming's highest point
A poem for faith:
After defeating John, Jacob seed as their final breath draws,
I come to a new valley and see a beautiful woman with an interesting lure.
I follow the path to faith and realize a dangerous leap,
I take that leap of faith, with Faith Seed in my heart ♥ and weep.
The angels call to me on our next encounter, I see Joseph as a prophet,
A story of destruction that comes soon, no one can stop it.
But I have faith in You, Faith. As I venture further with pride,
When I hear your voice calling out to me as I play, I feel there's nothing to hide.
Destroying your statue and shrines was not truly intended from me,
I just had to, to hear from your loving voice, soft as the blue sea.
I come close to the end, I realize Iv made a horrible mistake,
As the mision said... "confront Faith", i knew what journey next to take.
After being killed by faith many times in the boss fight, I realized I couldn't save her or help her,
I hated every part of me from what I did next,
As I drove a dagar, regrettably, in her chest.
I actually cried at that moment, as you spoke... "why?"
On the other side of the game, I was saying "sorry, sorry, so sorry Faith, I never wanted it to be this way (as I slowly cry 😢)
" I love you Faith, I miss you Faith and i beg for ubisoft to make a dlc to join you"
I will always have faith in your future rolls as characters, as you pass your beautiful, loving voice onto the next.
