Sorry that I somehow missed this, but Paul got pretty close! Permatex High Temperature Thread Sealant, specifically item number 59214 which is the 0.20 FL OZ / 6 mL size tube. They do put the same chemical in other container sizes, though.
I've been using Rectorseal T Plus 2, which will even seal PVC threaded fittings. With NPT it will seal and allow you to finish with ball valve handles oriented to easily use instead of cranking things down until it stops bubbling air with soapy water but leaving the handle in an awkward place. As for teflon tape, I'm finding some included in kits for various items, I save it up and send it in the next box to DAV. The less around the house the better.
Good information in the video, but can you say which liquid/paste thread sealer you used?
Looks like "PERMATEX HIGH TEMPERATURE THREAD SEALANT, 50 ML". Unlike Loctite it appears Permatex does not give them an easy number.
Harbor Freight threadlocker 42. Cheap and works for me.

Just in time, I got a new air compressor
