I do this all the time but some stores have caught on. I used to always order it in store and one time they refused it and wanted to charge me for a poster so I order it online now and have no issues now. So don't do it in-store.

@@stephanieh8720 because technically this is for blueprints but they're told to reject it and have us do a poster. There's a huge difference in price. $4-5 to $20.
@@TheVicdub yes I do after I get an email that it's completed. I haven't done this in a while. I want to say right before COVID so I don't know how it is now. But online never gave me an issue because you pay online to submit the order. So they just do it and move on.
Just tried and it still works you just have to do it in person. Just say you want to print the image on blueprint paper. I paid 7.43 for a 24x36. Thank you 🙏🏾

Used to work at Staples, and management caught on to this and told us to not print anything that is color-saturated on blueprint paper and would monitor it very closely. So just be careful as some stores may offer to refund this rather than print it. Granted the store I worked at was the home base for the district manager and we were pretty micromanaged, so probably why it was so strict.
What size are the frames ??? am always confused about what size to get to fit the print, same size or bigger?
I attempted to do this and 5 minutes after confirming and paying for the printing online staples called me and said they cannot print my photos. I believe they will print a black and white photo, but not sure.
They called me and told me the same thing. They said it would be considered a poster. And they can not print it as a blueprint. But it was an abstract art that I bought on Etsy that’s literally black lines on a white background.

Funny. I just paid Walgreens $10 using a coupon for a 20x30 poster size art I purchased from Etsy. I don’t like it because it’s glossy. Wish I’d seen your video before I did this because I like the non-shiny look of the blueprint print. Thanks for sharing such a good tip!
When I upload an imagine online it says “high ink coverage detected. Please upload architectural or line drawings only” think they definitely caught on.
They definitely did! I tried doing this myself about a month ago and saw the same thing.
This method doesn't work anymore online. I tried it & it said "high ink coverage detected," then redirects me to the poster section. 😢
This also didn’t work for me. Staples called me and said they can not print a “photo” as a blueprint. That it would be a poster. And the price is $12 something

How did you get the image to print out? What format will they accept
Idk if you purposefully left it out but staples won't print if there's too much saturation on it since the ink won't work
I didn’t leave anything out purposefully. This method worked for ME when I did this at my local staples over a year ago. If this did not work for you, I am sorry.

Doesn’t work anymore. Now they require only sketchy lines and nothing with too much ink detected.

This was a very cool idea but I think staples have caught on. They won’t allow you to even upload photos that doesn’t have geometric lines or shapes, or anything that will use alot of ink.
I’m not giving up just yet, I’m gonna try others.
Update: I did through FedEx office and it was beautiful and it cost me $3.25 under the architecture and building options.

I wish I knew they did it in color. I did our pictures in large sizes cause I wanted color and oh god the money I paid

PSA: I’ve been seeing a lot of comments lately saying this method does not work. It worked for me and for others. This method may or may not work for you. I think it depends on your Staples location. So if this works for you and you’re able to do this at your local Staples, I’m so happy this could help! If this does not work for you, I am sorry.

Staples worker here, please don't do this. We can't print photos like this because the paper cannot take the amount of ink that a full sized photo required, it will tear easily. Our poster paper is specifically FOR photos, not the plain paper. More and more stores are refusing to do do these because it simply cannot be done anymore. Having high quality paper is so much better.

straight up ripping off the store lmao. Blueprints are priced as such because they require very little ink compared to photo prints. Good luck finding a staples that'll allow this again
