      @RealTalkPowersports I would love to go to Windrock myself and try out my 950. I'm in tupelo, so that wouldn't be a bad trip to make. I'm not sure if you've ever been to Stoney, but you have to be on your P's & Q's there.

    the arms were good, but there is a small detail that they did not take in count on , at that time all the hits will be reflected in the axles and the def in my opinion.

      I thought the same thing. I'd rather have a bent suspension arm than a bent axle. Unless, there is a protection plate available...

    What keeps the sway bar from slipping down when you have it disconnected? Looks like it might just tip back down when hitting some bumps? I like this idea but don't it to get in the way if it turns down when it's not connected. Any issues here?

    i actually have a question about the trailing arms, i was looking at getting a z950 ho ex but today i went and looked at a new can am X3 DS 64 inch wide at the dealer and the trailing arms are about 3-4x the size, well basically everything is even the front A arms.
    i guess my question is with hard riding do you guys, or anyone else on here ever see any problems with the small trailing arms and small knuckles on the cf moto? searching online i cant find anyone really having problems with damage or failures so that seems to be a good sign.

    Camber. Not caimber. On the question of axle damage, the high clearance will just result in bent and broken axles. Make the lower rods 2x thicker than the stock ones, double butt the tubing like they do with bike frames and enjoy reliable lower rear rods and less chance of broken or bent rear axles.

    • @misfitgarageutah
      @misfitgarageutah Год назад

      They are 2x thicker than the stock ones and they are a bigger diameter. I would never double up or sleeve a radius rod. You would rip the mounting tabs right off if you built a radius rod that overbuilt and took a huge hit. Thanks for the input about the axles. Ill let you know as soon as one of my customers has an axle issue. Sure seem to be a lot of certainties about major axle issues... Everyone seems to forget that there isn't anything in front of the axle protecting it... So almost any hit that is gonna ruin an axle is gonna do that no matter what radius rod you have on. How about you just let time tell whether there are issues rather than fabricating them based off your own subjective opinion.

    • @user-ps6qq9ir4d
      @user-ps6qq9ir4d Год назад

      @@misfitgarageutah Any modifications that increase durability of the rod run the risk then of ripping out or damage to the frame and mounting ears or brackets. I would guess replacement rods are cheaper than replacement axles, so based on that logic, just run stock ones and consider them a consumable item vs the curved ones and risk axle replacement. I like many of your design choices and details, and clearly it improves clearance for rocks and logs and it does create a situation where the axles are now the lowest points in the design.

    They are nice but still way too thin. When you look at other manufacturers their factory upgraded rods are 2x thicker than these. Not too mention the after market ones are as well. I recommend beefing these things up and making them bigger.

    • @sorinking8149

      I have to agree with you on this, Also this being so thin I'd About bet every 6 months from the End-to-end being out of lined at the lock threads but who knows...

      @@sorinking8149 agreed. And you know they aren't going to be cheap either. Probly $2000+ for the set. For that money I expect a bigger arm.

    • @misfitgarageutah
      @misfitgarageutah Год назад +4

      They're twice as thick as stock. Also these are an original set our newest radius rods that customers will receive will be 1/4" bigger diameter. Trust me these are beefy. Outer diameter is not everything. Inside wall thickness is the key.

      @@sorinking8149 We have had a lot of testing on these. Not a single issue yet. The newest radius rods coming out of the shop are 1/4" bigger diameter. The wall thickness is also twice that of stock... These are plenty beefy.
