hello, I have recently purchased this same camera in 2024, I was wondering if anyone knew how to transfer videos from this camera into a new MacBook Pro (2024). I am lost on how to transfer my videos on this camera into my new computer , does anyone know if this is possible?
Hey i have a similar one but mine is of 2008model. Its Carl Zeiss 40x, model no. DCR-HC54E . I'm having a serious problem charging it. It has a dc port but runs only while it's plugged in to the port. So how may i charge it so that the battery gives a pretty good coverage. I've bought this back in 2008 but since then it been in my drawer :(
Was the camcorder turned on during capture? Check if the camcorder was on, if you were capturing the right port and if the capture card drivers were installed or the card was even detected. If after checking these parameters the PC still doesn't capture, then try hooking it up via the Firewire port (labeled DV on the camcorder) shown at 1:01 or buy a USB video grabber and plug the A/V cables into the connectors on the grabber.
I have one of these. Didnt use it much, picture quality was really bad and yah.. interlaced. Using the cam in my old uploads, keep in mind I've de-interlaced the picture digitally. The picture quality from the camera isnt that great. Couldnt get it to work at all with USB, lucky I had firewire aswell.
Zach Norris Hey zach i got thet camcorder for $20 bucks at the thrift store. Its work awesome come with- Case - 3 Unused Mini Dv tapes - Cable - Fire wire - A/V - USB 2.0 - Extra A/V - SD Cards - Remote All for $22.50 with tax
Zach Norris Yes and about the SD cards it just came with them for no reason. but no lost tape tho. The SD Card's are 4 gigabyte each i have two of them

Хорошее видео! Спасибо!

Does anyone know if these where the last of Sony's mini dv tape range in 2005 or where there newer ones with mini dv tapes
Very informative. Great job! How did you get to the menu setting? ...Thank you
How do I charge
There is a DC in port right below the battery into which you plug in the charger.
Holy shit how did you end up here
Cool
cool
How do you charge this. I have the same camera and I haven’t used it in over a decade so I am confused if I lost a charging box or something.
