We had an issue with a break in at home we called the cops and we told them he’s in the attic they checked the 1st floor and then left, and on another instance me and some friends got followed by 2 dudes for about 8 hours into 3 different buildings even when we walked in circles and when they got more aggressive we called the cops and they said we would have to walk over to the police station about 6km

    I live in the area where this documentary was filmed. To be honest, every police or fire person I have ever met have been kind and helpful. I still remember several years ago when, late at night, I went over railroad tracks and the tracks burst all 4 of my tires for some reason. Two very nice officers helped me call a wrecker, helped me set up my lights and safety triangle warning, and were even going to change the tire for me until they realized it was more than one tire. I do not understand why anyone, in any country would be less than cordially if the police are cordial to you. I also was rear ended several years ago and again, they were nothing but professional, cordial, and were really intent on making sure all involved were not hurt. Later on, I had an injury (whip lash, honest to god and it was really awful) that appeared later. The police later contacted me to make sure all was well. Again, I don’t understand all the rage and disrespect.

    Good to see, that peoples behaviour in such circumstances, change once they know they are being filmed.
    It used to be the police persons word against the suspect. Now recording these things, leave no doubt, and makes the person think.
    Its very logical that cameras affect both the police and the suspect, in how they interact with each other.
    This was why i am all for cameras on police for years now. This shows, that once people know they are being recorded in such situations, people think, and act differently.
    Its good that both the police persons and the suspects behaviour, is restrained mostly in such circumstances.
    This works for both police, and suspects, like the police person admitted. Some times being a police person, he said, your human side comes to the surface, with the abuse they have to take. So it works for both, and best for everyone, that interactions between police, and civilians, are recorded.
    Its a hard job being a police person, and so many people do not appreciate how much abuse these people have to take, in there interactions. They have probably seen it all, from all types.
    Best thing for everyone, ie that police wear cameras, and have them on, and tell the civilian when they turn them on. Its nice to see how techs work for something positive, while techs are often used in negative ways.
    Only the police there whom have experienced both without cameras, and with cameras, will be able to tell if these things work. Its nice to see they do have an effect.
    The real term for police, is law enforcement, and this video shows how it should be done. Police cannot make correct rational decisions all the time, and its best for everyone, that there interactions are recorded with the public. Its good to see, the police say it has a positive effect on publics behaviour towards them.

    Idk how similar it is in Germany to police in the United States but police here care about one thing, charging someone with the maximum amount of crimes so that the state can get the ‘criminal’ to plead guilty and get the most amount of money from them. I think it would go along way for police to meet them in the middle by being understanding. Instead of charging them with crimes, try to see what the root of the problem is. Sometimes it can be resolved easily and some others might just need medication. There will always be some that don’t care at all. Cops usually always outnumber someone and this provoked someone to immediately go on the defensive. A therapist in the group could significantly help resolve issues I know from first hand experience police treat suspects poorly, I was threatened because a cop reached in my pocket suddenly and got picked by a pen. “The next time I did that I would need to be taken to the hospital after” but “ that’s not a threat”. If I had said that to a cop but said it’s not a threat how would that go? The justice system, probably everywhere, needs to be reformed or violence and hatred will continue but our leaders don’t see a need for change. Locking people up solves the problem in their mind. More severe punishment doesn’t help either because most people don’t know the true ramifications for most offenses.

Instead, as a compromise, the police wears a unique 4 digit identity number, so that individual officers can be singled out and identified in the many many cases of police violence. I believe that every single officer should wear a camera. The fact that the cops in Germany can control when to record and when not to, is a joke. It should be recording the whole shift to a server that the police does NOT control. Needed German *responsibility* and *logic* and *maturity* are key. When it comes to immigrants misbehaving, remembering that they are from *very different* cultures and were obviously unfortunate and didn't receive a *quality upbringing.* *No one can have that held against them.* *All humans need education* in the social areas of life. We are *not educated in social skills* and *cultural expectations* and *relationship skills* inherently from being conceived or birthed. Since Germany, in general, doesn't like or appreciate or agree with certain aspects of certain cultures they welcomed into the country, responsibly and reasonably *they should not be expecting their ignorance and problematic attitudes to magically vanish.*
    Germany, responsibly, should have not permitted their *legal immigration* into the country since the country's residents ignorantly and unfairly take issue with them instead of the *politicians who are the responsible parties for such.*
    Now, there legally, the *immigrants need to be -- responsibly and mandatorily -- reeducated by the government* on *exactly what* is *acceptable* and *expected* and *not tolerated* and *illegal* (and the *reasons why* -- a *very necessary* and *important* point) in their new *home, just like an adopted child* or *pet would be.*
    Now, Germans must take on civic duty and *bombard the politicians that they themselves have ELECTED* to *have created a reeducation programme* for past and present and future immigrants, and to *change* the current trade agreements which are connected to immigration (the possible numbers admitted in per year), and *trade laws,* and *most importantly* the *immigration laws* and *processes* and *procedures.*
    Name-calling and other forms of thoughts and expressed elitism and/or hatred toward those who behave differently in ways that are unappreciated or unfair or dangerous or perceived as manacing *demonstrates illogical* and *reactive* immaturity, willful ignorance, impatience, irresponsibility, cognitive negativity, *arrogance, lack of knowledge of human psychology, lack of fair argument* and *mediation skills,* and the *abusive enabling of unreasonable misguided frustration* and rage.

      Jordan because in the UK/US the footage "disappears" when the officers contract comes under scrutiny. Brutality, inappropriate behaviour etc.

    It's illegal to give cops the finger in Germany? I do it in the US, and cops keep driving.

    • @mweskamppp
      @mweskamppp 3 года назад

      It is an insult. Anybody can sue you for that. Also a policeman if he insists on it. It might cost you 100euros or a thousand depends. Probably it will just be ignored for its not worth it.
      There is a famous story about policemen got a foto of a woman speeding. They jumped out and one showed her three fingers. She saw it in the mirror and showed the one finger. The policeman sued her. Asked at court the policeman said she was to fast the ticket was 30 Euros so i showed her 3 fingers. The woman was asked and she said i had only 10 euros cash with me and i showed him that. And she went free without charge...

    They do it because they know they will get away with a fine or community service. Punishments in Europe are too lenient.

    • @mweskamppp
      @mweskamppp 3 года назад

      Yes. With repeated arrest the punishment becomes harder. We have a tenth of the people per capita in prison the USA has. And the return to prison rate is smaller. Being drunk and a bit rowdylike behaviour will give somebody maximum a night in jail until the alcohol is evaporated. Maybe a small fine on top.

    I wish America had the law against flipping off Police, They will stop and give you a good chewing out but that all they can do mostly. Our problem seems to have made it to Germany (people not respecting Police) this is a old problem here, Went on since the mid 1950's, Teenage no good punks that think they know it all and are above any law, Now in the good ole days the Police could smack your mouth when you bad mouthed, But now..
    The Police are nothing but polite in my city and for the most part people respect them.

      In germany most people respect the police. the number of people not doing that is growing, though. hooligans who just search for a kick at the weekend. But also immigrants that come from countries with a violent police who do not respect the german police for being non violent.
