While it is good you do not camp at back it doesn't not automatically mean doing the opposite is good. If you see CC videos you will see it is increasingly difficult to carry teams no matter how good you are single-handed. Pushing into a sizable force of enemy is suicide and people don't like to suicide generally, of-course people camping is also very common in wows. For you to maximize your game-play unfortunately you have to play around your team. So support you team but if they are not supporting may take things slow.
12:28 That moment when Jingles makes a statement that he "guarantees, 100%, no question about it" and you just intrinsically know he's wrong....before Jingles is proven wrong seconds later. Jingles, there is no way that Minotaur could have been spotting him because he was behind an island. Furthermore the Minotaur was more than 3km away so that even eliminates the possibility the Minnow had the spotting mod equipped. That was almost certainly the Daring spotting him.
I sympathize with the Yamato, how was he supposed to know torpedoes were around the corner? Really? The Yamato was turning around the corner, ready to intercept a Kurfurst, and of course, not realizing a battleship was heading in the same direction, the idiot in the gearing, who already proven themselves to be an idiot in the first place, practically, not entirely, but practically killed the Yamato with the his own torpedoes due to a lack of awareness, I mean, he probably didn't know what "awareness" meant, he's that stupid, you expect him to know what awareness even means? As for the last surviving destroyer on that...horrid enemy team on the last match, I feel for him, I really do. Being a victim of exactly the same thing. One who was doing everything right, everything that he was supposed to do...and his team fuck everything up in spectacular proportions that makes you wonder how they have the brain power to exist or live on this god forsaken earth, as for that poor destroyer...all I have to say is...He was, as the great Jive Turkey would say, "Dead Right".
Everything right? He pulled out full broadside to a GK!! And into the path of some obvious torps which were not fired right next to him. The fact that you think this Yammy player was somehow a saint (and Jingles too) is half the problem. It's a TEAM game after all.
Well, that's the thing, when you have a friendly destroyer, you obviously don't expect the quote "friendly" torpedo salvo to hit you, and well, you might very well expect him to at least time his torpedoes correctly, plus that, your in a situation where you have a lot going on at once, chances are the Gearing for some reason didn't see the Yamato around the island, and the Yamato was more focused on dealing with a German BB at close range, because, as we know, a German BB is very dangerous up close, the biggest threat, and, he does know, at the aftermath of that incident, how to use the different keys to maneuver the ship as he was about to do before he got nearly Team Killed :P. Granted, they are in range of each other, but, again, lack of awareness, when the destroyer could've looked at the mini map and held his fire, seeing the ship coming around the corner. The torps would not have hit the GK anyway. In this case, you're supposed to trust your teammate to know what he's doing with the torpedoes and his ship in general. It's easy to pin it on the battleship captains because the only thing they know how to use is a gun and are basically slow clicker players like in WoT, but sometimes you find some battleship players who know what they're doing, and I'm willing to believe the "Yammy" player knew what they were doing, and didn't deserve that. Also, I'll be honest with you, it's a gearing, and may be a destroyer, but he was firing his guns well before then, he probably had no idea torpedo's were even launched, destroyers broadside using guns a lot more than you think, American boats tend to be gunboats after all. I never said he was good or a saint, I don't know the man, but he does at least have a brain and is not in the wrong.
I'm not defending the Gearing, he was acting like an idiot. But there are always two sides to friendly torpedoing. I don't think we can call the Yamato a rocket surgeon either, for leaving cover and going broadside to a GK. From my own experience, I know it can be very frustrating when, in a DD (especially something like a Shimakaze, or other torp boat), you're hiding outside of detection range, trying to line up a torp shot on an enemy BB about 6km away, and a friendly BB decides to get closer, meaning you either do nothing, or risk hitting an ally. It can be hard for a DD to comprehend a ship closing in to within 5.5km, as it often means suicide for a DD to do it. Ally ships should always be aware when they are getting between the minimum detection range of an ally DD and the enemy. Of course, given the other silly behaviour of the Gearing, its unlikely he did any sort of risk analysis prior to launching torps. So its mostly his fault. But Yamato should have been more careful and realized he was passing between a DD and an enemy.
True, And, perhaps I will admit that he should have looked at the mini map, But you also have to take into account the lack of cover, literally anywhere else BUT that island, also, look at the size of it, it just doesn't turn on a dime, yes he could have reversed but that would've put him into the line of fire of the Tirpitz, which means, once again, broadside on, it was just a really, really poor decision to go there on his part, also to be fair, the Yamato is RIGHT there, pointing forwards in the same direction as the torpedo cone. Which means if he moves forward, he ends up, like it or not, in the cone. There weren't really many other options, besides, the one piloting the GK isn't that stupid, to go broadside on to a Yamato. So, while you could, again pin it on a BB player, I choose not to, and I stand by it.
@@ukranianfedora9929 Later after this comment I looked up the stats on both players. The Gearing player is beyond awful. 5000 or so games and a 42% WR. The Yamato was better, but not that much better. For example playing his Yamato he has about the same WR as the Gearing. They both were pretty foolish but I still think it's possible for a decent player to do what he did. At that range and with adequate warning (which I think the Yamato likely had if we saw it from his replay), he just plowed right into the fire of both the GK and those torps.
I've seen the opposite work, where bunching up won a game easy. Though in that case they were aggressive and basically formed a deathball to sweep the map.
Leading from the front in a Tier 10 BB with lots of DDs around takes balls of steel. But if even ONE of them is a Shimakaze, you need balls of titanium.
I've had WoWs for about a month and although I do have fun I have noticed two things that make it a worse game than it should be..........1) the near complete lack of teamwork and 2) Ships having an UNLIMITED torpedo supply.
At the end of the video, I would have suggested letting the Kagero live as a sign of respect for being the only player on the enemy team with any intelligence or game sense, had I been playing.
In the second match, where the enemy team is made to look stupid, don't forget to look at the Republique's allies, who are camped right in front of the cap circle, failing to push right till the end, despite the fact that one of their battleships is on a flanking run. So there are more people who are ignoring the mini map other than those on the enemy team... Good Work from Republique to hit those citadels consistently, i have had situations where i see the smoke stag/ reversing warship, giving wrong lead and missing whole broadside like a noob. What the Republique did still requires good level of experience with aiming correctly.
To be fair to the allied team in said game, they had all but the entirety of the enemy team in front of them stopping the push- and I'll bet the 2 kills the enemy Kagero got were ships that decided to try it.
Actually there is a question about it. It wasn't the Minotaur that detected the Republique as he came around the island but the Gearing that had last been spotted south of B. The Republique was within the Minotaurs detection range and would have detected him and the Minotaur was not detected until several seconds later.

Correction.

hmm... when a torpedo has left your tube.. you are the only one that it can't hit... so surely, its still YOUR friend.. just, nobody elses! :)
That Izumo salvo. New underwear required.
When a team is so bad you get jingles to say "What in the actual fuck?"
As long as you don't release the spoon, you can replace the pin and make him your friend again.
Actually there is a question about it. It wasn't the Minotaur that detected the Republique as he came around the island but the Gearing that had last been spotted south of B. The Republique was within the Minotaurs detection range and would have detected him and the Minotaur was not detected until several seconds later.
my god... that's why i love watching Jingles
John Wayne, In Harms Way classic Cruiser tactics lesson
Jingles, maybe those ship sitting in the spawn were so active in the lower ranks they burnt out their W keys and can no longer use it. lol
12:30 - actually, Jingles...
It was the Daring spotting Runner. The Minotaur was still behind the island!
Jingles world of warships has been out long enough that people have failed their way to tier ten successfully
Putting an island next to me means I get shot at from only one direction? Well it can't be worse than their singing, I guess.
Subscribed for the laughs.Noob Captain here...hope to get more guidance. Thanks~
I really wanted Jingles to say 'Fire on the uproll' as he sailed past that Izumo, or whatever the French equivalent is
