I’m just letting u know right now this edit inspired me single-handedly to make my own horror story that’s inspired by YTTD just so I could challenge myself to make a character as equally devious or outright worse than Midori. So thanks for making this haha

@@sxbrielOH MY GOSH AAAA I didn’t think you’d reply!! umm ummm I can try to give a brief rundown but it’s called Off The Radar; and it’s very similar to YTTD in a lot of ways but … its a story that follows this rich kid named Benji who basically grew up insanely privileged and always just sort of had things handed to him, but he ends up getting stalked and eventually kidnapped alongside a bunch of other people who get thrown into this very?? Elaborate facility, with all kinds of pointlessly terrible and cruel “traps” and games, similar to the SAW franchise and YTTD/Squid Game. Benji essentially thinks that since he’s so “independent” and has his “own money” (both of which are lies) that he doesn’t need to rely on others to help him, and he actively doesn’t want to work with the others one bit in trying to escape this nighthmare scenario. But he slowly has to learn (in a painstakingly slow way) that he HAS to trust others; and he’s also made cripplingly aware of how people less fortunate than him have had to suffer even before being in this facility; via the time he has to spend with them (that and some of their lived experiences directly tie into solving certain traps and games). There’s many minor antagonists but it’s more so people who directly oppose Benji’s worldview, so to him they’re antagonistic when really they’re all just… people. But the TRUE antagonist and villain is a woman named Betty Dearest, who is constantly lurking in the facility and watching/monitoring how everything’s going down. She gives live broadcast over the speakers thruout the facility like it’s some event going down whenever someone’s dying, it’s really horrid. And actively personally mocks certain people who end up talking back to her. She’s a morbid show host actually for what’s going on, but they don’t even realize they’re being recorded and broadcasted until they finally get deep enough into the facility to find Betty. The company she works for is essentially exploiting those less fortunate and who don’t have the resources to back them up in life to host a show online on the deep web. It’s actually fairly popular and while usually the elite and incredibly wealthy are the main viewerbase, there are some people more aligned with the survivors stuck in the scenario that watch, too. Because the world the story takes place in values entertainment above all else… boredom = … not even living, in the eyes of most in the story.

She’s suppose to be a reflection of what Benji could become if he just always sticks to his gun and tries to tackle things alone. She’s actually known about the show from a young age because her parents watched it… she’s also a thrillseeker till expiration and is not scared of dying or bringing down people with her, as long as it’s an entertaining or thrilling way to go out. Anyways, some of the horrid things Betty has done have been: - Stealing the body parts and organs of the people who end up expiring over the years of hosting the show. - Purposefully roped her own love interest, brother, and a close friend all into said show (resulting in the expiration of 2 of the three mentioned) - Backstabbed and have used other participants of the show as a stepping stool just to make the show “more entertaining” (her own HITMEN that she paid to kidnap some of these people get the short end of the stick and are thrown in like everyone else). - Stole her own brother’s eyes - Tampered with some of the show’s equipment as to purposely cause more casualties (both participants and the few staff also working on her side suffer for this) - Her brother is Benji, actually, for spoilers haha. Thank you for reading though! She’s very icky and creepy and she casually oozes black tar, or will flat out just fall apart at times cause she’s modified herself so heavily. Oh, and there is a more sci-fi part of the story that involves transferring the brains of people into other people’s bodies for longevity, neuroscience and genes science… it’s very scary, but that’s how she’s even able to halfway function despite it all. A terrible terrible woman!
