Howard University’s Department of Music Performance at the NIH Clinical Center

To celebrate Black History Month at the Clinical Center, the DEIAAC and Music in the Atrium series joined forces to present a special performance featuring the vibrant music of Howard University’s Music Department.
This event featured groups such as the HU Jazz Singers, Classical Voice singers, SAASY, and critically acclaimed Afro Blue. The groups were backed by Kit Young and Samuel Prather on piano, Herman Burney Jr., on bass and Kelton Norris on drums, the groups delivered a moving repertoire paying homage to “A Journey Through Song of the Underground Railroad”.
