I know some very hi-end speaker manufacturers use the H390 to test their speaker systems. The reason is that they are the most neutral amps with the lowest distortion of all available amps they tried.
Hegel H390 is very neutral sounding amp, can drive almost any speakers, zero distortion thanks to its software-based correction, and its 4000 damping factor produces the cleanest bass sound. There is nothing out there that can compete with Hegel H390 at its price.
I have a buddy that has an Accuphase integrated amp and it sounds great on his top Focal floor standing speakers. I considered going with the Accuphase which I listened to extensively before hearing and then deciding to run with the phenomenal sounding and hugely powerful Hegel H590 integrated amp for my Revel Salon 2 speakers. The Accuphase has it's signature sound and so does the Hegel. The choice is yours. To say that the Hegel can't touch the Accuphase in sound quality is totally and absolutely absurd. I chose the Hegel H590 over several other brands of very high end integrated amps, as well. The Hegel H590 can compete favorably with any high end integrated amp on the market, even those that cost more. Phenomenal sound is phenomenal sound regardless of brand.
I am sure the accuphase is better but its almost 3 times the price of h390, not really a fair camparsion, i have h390 and its easily an endgame amplifier for me, no way i could spend £15000 for an amplifier, and it would not make sense to do so either unless you speakers in the same price catogory
Hegel is a liar in his specifications, I already had H360, then I went to E-460 and now I have E-470 and I already want to move on to E-5000, and I can guarantee that no Hegel model can even tickle the Accuphase...
@@JNElectrics For example: In the specifications the Hegel H360 says it has 410 watts in 4 ohms, or something less than that, while the Accuphase E-470 has 260 watts in 4 ohms, just listen to both to immediately understand that this power specification It's a lie on Hegel's part, since the E-470 with its 260w into 4 ohms is much more powerful.
Hegel the best.

The Hegel don't come not even close to an Accuphase, by all means 😂😂😂
So far Hegel is very proud of the damping factor of 4000, because it tried all its advantages.😁
Especially when you consider build quality.
Accuphase is no doubt better but it cost 3 times more than h390 this is really a silly camparsion
forget about this dupming factor story. Hegel H20 is power amp which will overcome even H590 while haeving only 1000 of damping

The new Hegel600 will surprise you even more.
Awesome
No headphone input on the Hegel makes the Accuphase the obvious choice for me. The Accuphase is also much more beautiful.
I would hope so for 3x the price
Why be disappointed with the Hegel on/off button when you only press it once and then turn the Hegel on from the remote!
In emergency conditions, the main power button needs to be pressed when you want to turn off and secure the unit.
The only way to turn of h390 completly is to remove the power cable
Rega 😀
Hegel is praised for being Norwegian but it is made in China, no thank...
Do you think that the hands of people from Norway are better skilled than the hands of Chinese people.

How can you be so sure? Price is not an indicator of "better"... sound is very subjective. Thanks
super
Hegel win for me🥇
I should respect your opinion.

And what is your suggestion whether the specification should be done by a third party?

Hegel 360 does not exist in nature. There's a Hegel 390.
Можно даже не смотреть. Акуфейс победил. Эти хегель вообще не играют ничего и не как даже самые дорогие
I present in this video a lot of technical aspects of both amplifiers.
The hegels play fine had have both h190 and now h390 and they are fantastic with pretty much everything i plugged into those amplifiers
