Awww Oscar is so cute! Maybe he was hinting that he wants a coat!

He always climbs onto my desk when I'm not looking, and makes a mess. I think this time he wanted to help.

Love this doll! Looking forward to the others
Worbla might be a good choice for that mask, btw.

I loe the detail of the face, and how you weren't afraid to make it gross and zombie like. I'm so glad that your video came on my recommendations, and I can't wait to see more of your creations!

(at end of video now); she looks amazing! I think the contrast between the clean white mask and the gore-y detail on the face looks very nice! The sewing is so detailed and you put a lot of care into it which looks great! Also your ferret is very cute!
Re: the mask, air dry clay isn't particularly strong and isn't going to be great sticking to fabric/felt, it would need glue probably/the fabric added on after drying. Air dry clay shrinks as it dries (due to the water going out of it) and will pull away from porous materials. It is definitely stronger when slightly thicker and sticking mostly to itself. Building either a wire/foil or cardboard base, making a simple cone shape, letting it dry and adding details after the first drying session might help with strength and form. You can re-wet dry air dry clay and apply additional layers pretty easily as long as it hasn't been sealed with glue or paint yet. Some air dry clays are just more crumbly it seems when sanded but as long as its a nicer premier or la doll brand it should hold up to sanding. Air dry clay can be carved without too much pressure, so over-building and carving down is another option. I'm no expert but this is just stuff i learned working with it for a bit/reading stuff online!

That was my idea, her looking clean and perfect with the mask on and then when the mask is removed she is rotten and decaying!!!
Also thank you for the advice on the clay, in the end I used a cosplay material that is moldable when heated and put apoxy on top to strengthen it!!!

Oh this is amazing! I'm very excited to see the rest of this series in the future. You did an amazing job capturing the feeling of a rotting face without making it over gory and keeping it stylised to the rest of the doll.
Also I love your ferret! So cute!

Thank you so much!! My biggest fear for this doll was making the face look good but not over done and not too clean. Had to let go and know when to stop! So I've very glad you like it!! 🥰

A lovely interpretation of Pestilence! I'm also working on my own collection of horsemen so I might "borrow" some inspiration from your dolls. I've been completely stuck on what my Pestilence should wear. I used a Scarah base and covered her face in boils using sfx techniques. I'm excited to see the other three plus the bonus one (Conquest?)
OMG your ferret is so cute.
My War uses a Starfire base (gorgeous but half covered in gashes) and my Famine uses a Spectra too (with a massive hole in her tummy). I.... still need to finish painting their faces and make clothes for everyone.

Thank you!! I'm glad you like and feel inspired by her!! I am very excited to complete the others! I've been planning this series for a long time and I'm glad I was able to showcase them on my RUclips channel! Next will be Famine, I am either using a spectra or ghoulia. I wish you good luck on yours!! 🥰

me: wow all this sewing looks incredibly difficult! , you: now for the hardest part... me: :0

It always looks easy, but most of my sewing takes 3 tries to get it right!! And it's all hand sewn, because the pieces are so small I'm scared my sewing machine with eat the fabric.
