In 5th minute you talked about the Hussite event - everything is fine, exept the fact that you can choose Jiri z Podebrad as your ruler, not Jan Hus. Jan Hus was a religious leader and the person who started hussite faith and Jiri z Podebrad was a noble who was of hussite religion. Love from Poland, your tutorials helped me a lot in my EU4 games.
Bohemia isn't overlooked especially if they turn hussite and form a alliance with ottomans it is too rare for the ai to do that and its fun being hussite one game i played as bologna hussite center of reformation converted my provinces and i became hussite roman empire
Bohemia is my favorite ally when playing Bavaria. They make early wars super easy and can later help you with the wars against Austria. I can never bring myself to break my alliance with them, even if it would be the logical thing to do and I just hope to get a PU over them.
Going innovative and finishing your own ideas basically gives you free level 5 advisors for the rest of the game meaning you can either play “tall” in a way or super wide, while staying 10 years ahead on tech
If you go hussite initially then wait, when your first king dies you get an option to convert back to catholic which also converts all your provinces for you.
Oman. Not a lot of People play it but it’s definitely an underrated nation for a trade empire based off its history, traditions, and slightly limited mission tree. Bit of a left field one but why not.
Great video! I recently did a Hussite-Protestant Bohemia run where I got HRE emperor and reformed Austria after completing Bohemia's missions, this video is helpful to see some mistakes I made and some things I did well
England haas part of France France: Hey,Bohemia, let's fight the english, they are the worse! Bohemia:Of course! Bohemia inherits half of France during the war France: Hey english,I know we hate each other, but let's fight the Bohemians, they are the worse!
This situation happened me in an Aragon play, where Castille ruler died without an heir and started a Succession war for Castille, me agaist France, at the same time the 100 years war was happening 😂
Hussite conversion makes more sense imo because you get Russia or Ottomans as an ally early and then can PU Hungary/Poland and pretty much be impervious to catholic religious wars. The only minus is you cant be Emperor until the reformation
I remember having so much fun playing bohemia using florry worry strategy from "czech it out" series, once you beat up austria, hungary and PLC theres really nothing to stop you, if you are lucky you might even get quick PU over muscovy/russia
RedHawk: * gets a PU over burgundy * France: "I'm gonna do what's called a pro-gamer move." * *calls allies into war against england and drops out of the war himself so RedHawk has to fight a war on 2 fronts* *
Just want to point out Jan Hus (preacher burned for heresy in 1415 ) and Jiří z Poděbrad (Hussite noble ) are two different people. Personaly I always go Hussite because what is old man in funny hat in Rome going to do? declare crusade number six against Bohemia? Because previous five were not humiliating enough for catholics. Anyway nice video.
I dont think that Jan Hus can become your country leader, since he was burned for his heretical teachings, which made people angry and therefore the hussites came to existence. Not criticizing tho, good video. :D
just a quick thing- the electorate of saxony and brandenburg events actually remove the penalties for vassalizing an elector if you opt to make them a march or vassal. says so in the tooltip. otherwise, fantastic guide! :D
24:50 when you look at the options they "will be considered legitimate" and it doesn't matter what you pick, so you would much rather make them a march.
If you want to play 5d chess, you go Hussite, conquer Greater Poland and Prussia before taking the PU on Poland, and then go Protestant when the reformation kicks off, culture shift to Prussian and form Prussia (after taking the elector/PU missions and taking the permanent modifiers from Defenestrations of Prague and Bohemian Commonwealth missions).
Instead of using "return cores" option in the diplo screen, if you transfer the siege ownership to your vassal and just click on the provinces you incur less AE and it takes less warscore for the same lands.
France does that a lot apparently. They're the reason the U.S. was in Vietnam, they asked for help to maintain their hold there and pulled out after we showed up.
22:22 something similar happened to me with savoy. I was playing as Venice and was allied to Savoy. Savoy declared on Genoa for a province but then Milan took that province. So I had to fight the 2 provinces in Crimea left of Genoa and somehow lost half my navy. Lol
one thing I'll say before you declare a "restoration of union" war.... check the age of your target's ruler. If he's geriatric, wait a couple of years. If the ruler dies you can no longer demand the union.

In my opinion flipping Hussite is objectively better since you get more improved relations from the faith aspect and is able to control the religion around you to diversify AE. It’s like the reformation fired 50 years earlier and make expanding in the hre a lot easier
Sorry if it's a noob question, but wouldn't Hussite Bohemia need Religious ideas too to convert all the catholic provinces, or does centre of reformation mechanic is enough to deal with it?
I dunno why but in my recent ottomans chill game I declare war against Hungary who is already PU to Austria but Austria don't join this war so should I say it's leviathan dlc fault or I found a new mechanics.
Is there any chance of a Nepal based guide, or maybe even an achievement run or a playthrough. Got into your account from your co game with pravus and while I did not continue watching the co game, love your content.
Best way is to release Moravia and let them stay Hussite, play a regular Catholic HRE game and once the league war fires you're the leader on the Catholic side so you dictate peace deals. Take the Peace of Westphalia, integrate Moravia, flip to Hussite
Skipping +1 monarch points (the strongest privilege) is stupid. Just take it and sank a little bit of taxes later on while taking back some land. If you went for Habsburg as a ruler, why not try to snipe them into PU? Just get royal marriage but not alliance. You can try to snipe a PU over Milan with their ambrosian republic event.
Your videos are awesome. But how do you always have money and admin, diplo and mil point to manage to get a full card of ideas and even develop some cities so quick into the game? I always run out of admin and diplo and my vassals or PUs have liberty desire because I'm behind on diplo!
You need to manage your Mana better. Dont conquer Land If you are lacking ADM Points U should Instead Elexpand via Vassals. Dont conquer or Integrate Vassals If you are lacking DIP Mana. Unjustified Demands really can eat Up a Lot of DIP Mana so dont overdoe IT there. Have Advisers. The Ideas Diplo and Administration safe a while Lot of Mana.
@@TheRedHawk you can semi-reliable get them with Leviathan via asking for a heir from your dynasty now and enforcing PU later. On the bad side, however... this gives 20 AE.
My go-to strat with Bohemia is to attack Austria ASAP, the war should be very winnable, since Austria will most likely be behind in mil tech (their ruler starts with 1 mil point while also focusing on diplo). Then take Ob der Enns and Traungau and release Styria from Traungau. Styria has cores on about half of Austria, allowing you to neutralise Austria completely and with very little AI in about 20 years.
I tried this, Austria still allied Hungary and in the war for Trenscen they made 60k troops magically appear. Also, my elector allies lost some wars where they made them cancel their alliances with me, and even the electors still allied to me prefer Austria with around 80 points more so :/
I do believe that after completing the Bohemian missionary you should form Austria reason? Because their mission tree is overpowered and if you can buy them the Bohemian plus one diplomatic monarch power and the Austrian imperial government you can have a guaranteed diplomatic rulerr 3+ and the Austrian missionary is overpowered so yeah.
I've never succeeded with Bohemia. I always collapse in the first 20 years in bankruptcy, without manpower and under attack from one of the strong neighbors.
