    Being an ice fisher from up north, I find that if you pick a nice willow you like , a good line and light bait , great day fishing . But personally i'm not into carrying around a bunch of extra heavy , battery powered fishing gear when basically any time , but moreso when the temperatures drop to - 40, b.t.w , its just the way it is , I love fishing.

    Oh man that wiggle wheel could be deadly! I love it. Could slay the perch on that one for sure and the brook trout should eat it up! I'm thinking you're going to be able to design more different styles of jigging wheels for all sorts of action and sell separate! I like it, good job. You are a fishing inventor extraordinaire. I just seem to be able to catch fish, can't come up with my own ideas or take enough time to actually develop anything. Too busy fishing. Well done, keep it up! I did a Demo today a the Cabelas Store on the Jaw Jacker here in British Columbia Canada. Can't wait, next trip coming to Idaho!

    • @jawjackerfishing
      @jawjackerfishing  7 лет назад

      Glad to hear you did a demo at Cabelas! In the future I could come up with different jigging wheels and I have thought about that a little bit. The possibilities of wheel patterns are endless.

    • @TheFishingDoctorsAdventures
      @TheFishingDoctorsAdventures 7 лет назад

      Yeah went great! I wish we could use more than one line In British columbia so I could leave it in, but only allowed one. So I put it in while I'm drilling in morning and setting up and it usually catches a fish or two before I'm fishing. Check your messages I'll message you!

      @@jawjackerfishing Just bought mine and can't wait to try it out real soon. I too would be interested in different wheels for deep water lake trout and white fish. Trout like a very active raise and lower jigging motion. higher raising with maybe a 5 second pause in the raised position. You want to suspend it off the bottom for 5 seconds before a few hard jigs.

    It would be really cool to get some blank wheels you could cut the pattern on yourself - to get your own custom jigging action - any chance of adding a blank wheel with the next generation of this?

    Picked one of these up for my jaw jacker last winter and had the line regularly jump off the trigger with the big jig wheel, I was mostly using baits between 1/8th and 1/2 oz. Any way to remedy that problem no issue with the other wheels.

  • @walterdowns9978
    @walterdowns9978 3 года назад

    On a tip up the fish can grab the bait and run with it how do you set up the rod on the jaw Jacker I am thinking that you cannot open the bail or set the drag on loose because it might not trip the jaw Jacker so explain how that works or does the fish just take the rod down the holel with him

    • @RedRiverWilds
      @RedRiverWilds 3 года назад

      From using jaw jackers I can tell you that you're correct in the bail needing to be closed but you should leave the drag fairly loose they'll still trip.

    • @dustinj7650
      @dustinj7650 2 года назад

      you can take extra line out and put some snow on it to hold in place, the fish can take the lure, then the extra line, then trip the mechanism. Key is to be sure when the extra line is taken it stays on the trigger.

    Any idea when I can buy it in sweden?

    • @jawjackerfishing
      @jawjackerfishing  7 лет назад

      They will be available on jawjacker.com hopefully in February and we can ship to Sweden. I will talk to Wiggler who is a Sweedish distributor I work with and maybe they can get some in for next ice season. I have tried the smallest size jigging rap and caught trout with them on the jigging jawjacker but to get the full action out of a jigging rap you would probably need to move those types of baits a couple feet and the Jigging JawJacker maxes out at about 6 or 7 inches. So that's why I think the soft plastic finesse baits will work best. But if fish will hit a jigging rap dead sticked then they surly will hit it in the Jigging JawJacker also.

    • @Cracklord666
      @Cracklord666 7 лет назад

      Thanks for the answer! I'm sure going to look for these when they hit the stores.
      Maybe the Snap rap works better because it has more glide. I have to try with a lot of jigs :) And as you say, they hit a dead hang jiggingrap sometimes so it will surely work anyway!

    Did you purposely found a place with no fish? Was that so you are not interrupted with fish biting?

    i wanna build a dozen or so of these out of steel with cnc machine. be so much more solid for bigger rods like the 36 inch haat rods for bigger fish like giant pike walleye and lakers. like i need this device but i need to be able to handle 5 oz weights and big reels with 450 yards of 150 lb braid and leaders of 60 lb flouro. actually just a welder and a grinder is all i need to make this. and a blue print for the jigging wheels.

      I attach a go pro to the top of my underwater camera. When the underwater camera is focused on the bait the go pro is too. I just hit record on the go pro, drop it down the hole, find my bait, and then let it sit there and record.

    It seems to me to quiet that big jigging wheel down if they had a spring on the back side the same as the one on the front maybe with a rubber coating on it so that it would land on that spring and that would quiet it right down. Thank you that was an awesome video and I am going to order one today because of your info.

    I love how yall raised the price on this thing after it was virtually sold out last winter. If i could have found one for 80 bucks last winter i would have bought it but see no reason to spend 99 with zero technological improvements to the device and having to adjust the rings or put electrical tape on it to avoid noise. Shouldn't have to do those things on a "99" dollar product.

    • @WhirlysWorldVideo
      @WhirlysWorldVideo 5 лет назад

      As you've pointed out, they simply set the price too low before and sold out the entire supply. www.investopedia.com/terms/l/law-of-supply-demand.asp - Also, the noise fixes were on the ~$40-$45 Jawjacker itself, not the (now $99) base. When the Jawjacker isn't moving/jigging, it is perfectly silent until that characteristic cha-click that is (nearly) always followed (for us anyway) with my son screaming "FISH FISH FISH FISH..." (and then the noisy crunch of all the other gear he steps on running to grab the rod).
