  • Full flight around Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome. The aerodrome was originally RAF Bruntingthorpe and hosted both the Royal Air Force and the United States Air Force during its life. In 1973 it was sold to Chrysler Motor Corporation, which used it as a vehicle proving ground. In August 1983 it was purchased by C Walton Ltd and it continued in use as a vehicle proving ground and also provided facilities for historic aircraft storage and maintenance, air shows, corporate hospitality, exhibition space, location filming, motorcycle design and development, and vehicle storage and auctions. In 2020 it was sold to Cox Automotive for vehicle storage and auctions, with a part retained by the Walton family for aircraft activities.

How did you maintain VLOS the whole time?

      Hi.
This particular video was shot from inside the Proving ground so VLOS was maintained for the entire flight.
      Many Thanks, LFTS

@@Leicestershirefromthesky even if you have strobe lights on the drone, I doubt you would know which direction the drone was facing. Unless you were somehow walking under the drone outside of the boundary fence the whole time.

      Hi.
Thank you for your observation. We have several ways of ensuring VLOS is maintained during some of our longer flights. Our priority above everything is making sure we keep things within the boundaries of the law. I hope this eases your concerns.
      Many thanks, LFTS

@@Leicestershirefromthesky no concern, just curious to know how you achieved it so I can try the same technique, which I what I originally asked.
