I was acctually awake!!!! Working my potatofield before some days of rain. Bees are ok. I am so hard Working on getting more feed for them in garden. A little by little every year. Schrubs and trees in favor, since a fully grown tree might give as much pollen and nectar as 2 acre of flowerfield. I am nerding in on appletrees that have red flowers, red bark, red leaves, red scale, red flesh 😉
I did get some honey this year... one hive has 8 supers!!!! Never had that before. Feels good! Nearly dubbled the hives this far this year. I will have to reduse them or move some hives to an other location. I'll try to catch a live now that I am on a summerbreak😉 see you around and say hi to the kids and your wonderful wife!

What do you do about bees that eat everything they bring in. I have a hive here in western PA that are Hugh but they have only stored about one super of honey when I have others that have stored 3 or more.

Requeen if it is not a mite problem. If it is a mite problem, treat, then likely requeen

@@kamonreynolds That's what I thought. Don't think it's a mite problem. Think it's more gluttonous bees. In February we had a 72° day so I checked them at at that time it looked like a spring hive. Had two full boxes of bees and 6 full frames of brood in top box of double deep hive.

What you call Aficanize bees in America is totally different to the local bees in Africa. The killer bees are a mix of European and African bees. Why they chose to call them African killer bees and not European killer bees, just comes down to the negative light you westerners have shined on the United States Of Africa, when that is not so. As a matter of fact that which we know as killer bees were recklessly crossed and reproduce on the Continent of South America, so by right they should be called Americanized killer bees. I think I'll start coining that fact, since they created a new sub species that is to this day surviving and reproducing more in the Southern states like texas,Florida and so on it even pushes south a good bit. So just to be clear African local bees are not the same as Americanized Killer bees. Americanized killer were made by an American on the Continent Of america 🇺🇸 .😂 So lets call a spade a ♠ .
