    Kamon, we really enjoyed having you at our Convention, it was a great mix of keepers & vendors! Stinking hot is one way to put it! And I’m definitely going to try out the gloves. I told Allen that he should bring you as a sales rep next year! Not sure if you are needing more to do 🙃!
    Let us know when you get the Bee Expo Gear up for sale!

      It was so much fun at the LBA! Having to put up with Allen that much would be a chore!
      I will let you know!

    I use a sous vide cooker to de crystallize honey. It both circulates the water and maintains whatever temperature you set.

    Check out the two VarroxSan videos from Auburn University - especially the second one, an interview with the manufacturer. The product is NOT a "put on the hive and walk away" treatment.

    Kamon, have you heard about Hives for Heroes? Great program for military and first responders. Be great if they were at your expo.

      Hi Stephan, yes I am good friends with a dozen or so of those guys. I think this will be their 4th year with us and we wouldn't do the show without them.

    New beekeeper here. Acquired 2 hives from a deceased family member. Talked to some people and was told they probably should be split. So I split them and then a massive beetle larva infestation took over and 3 of the 4 hives/splits left. Is this common?

    • @kamonreynolds
      @kamonreynolds  Месяц назад

      Hi Justin! Welcome to beekeeping! It is not common if everything is as it should be. Strong Hives can defend against beetles. Likely they were too small to split or the split caused imbalances in the hives. Sorry you had that happen!

    Please test those tablets with some mesh bottom boards. If they are the same l tested they drop a lot of mites after a couple of hours. It makes you wonder what kind of poison is in it ?
    Last year some people here tested a similar PIP Tablet and they had full bottom boards of mites that same day (there are videos...). But nobody wants to write all the ingredients in it

    • @turbodog1542
      @turbodog1542 6 дней назад

      Not sure what you are referring to. Could you name the tablets? Just now watching the video and saw your comment.

      @@turbodog1542 where did l wrote that question ? Don't answer back. I'm done with trying to explain myself to not experienced beeks . My comment was about testing different treatments... new ones in the last years

    • @researcherAmateur
      @researcherAmateur 6 дней назад

      Since it seems to be very difficult to do a little internet research.. much easier to make me give the answer. I suspect the first Tablets were from my part of the world.. PIP TABLET. But here there's no money in it if you don't sell it into the world. So now you have your " what's there name" tablets as "food supplement" or something.. but just by luck they seem to drop full bottoms of varroa. But you won't or can't buy them as a treatment.. it's a "food addition or supplement" the huge and fast drop is just by chance. Happy now ? YT learners
