Even though I have a 14,000 lb. all terrain forklift (Bertha), I bought a pair of 48” bolt-on forks for the mini skid. What a waste of money. Could carry around 250 lbs. until I added 350 lbs. of counter-weight. I’ll use them as scrap iron for future projects. I did fabricate a pair of 10’ removable fork extenders for Bertha out of 8” channel iron. Now I can pick-up cars, sheds, or shipping containers.
Just an idea for safety, I always cut a radius on any ending edge of metal (your gussets). A rounded edge is easier to fall on then a knife end.
All in all, I enjoy the videos.

At the tail end of the video you see me and my wife get off the machine at the same time...I laughed and told her that was lucky! I think we would've tumbled forward had she jumped off before me. It definitely needs counter-weight.
Yesterday I lifted a tall item (not too heavy) from my truck and really needed a fork extender for the height. I see that in the future!
Thanks for coaching me up on rounding the gussets. One of the reasons I love RUclips...so many great ideas...and I'm humble enough to learn. I did take my grinding wheel to them before painting to soften the knife edge, but I admit they still have a "corner".

Remember when I bought my mini skid steer from China, it only cost me pallet forks 140$, 4-1 bucket 350$ , 4extra tires 150$ . Not sure why so high price over there

I sure wish that were the case. Unrelated but related…I listed a modified Jeep with 203k miles and an 8-yr old Honda Pioneer (very clean though) on related Facebook groups. People were killing me about being overpriced. I didn’t think I was based on local listings. Both sold at my ask price to locals. I realized simple supply and demand. We have 20 million people in FL now and 3 million in Orlando MSA. Florida unfortunately has become a very expensive place to live and so everything else follows is my guess. 😭
      Thanks for watching!
