- The Breeders' Cup came to Texas for the first time at Lone Star Park in suburban Dallas. The trainer and jockey combination of Todd Pletcher and John Velazquez won two races, first with Ashado in the Distaff and then Speightstown in the Sprint
That intro gave me chills. So glad NBC does this when so many other networks would have quit on horse racing.
Thank you for uploading all this classic Breeder's Cup coverage. It's by far my favorite day of racing, and it's cool to look back at some of the races that happened when I was very young or not even born.

I had no idea Bob Costas also did horse racing. I mean, he's more of an NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAA and Olympic Games type of guy.

I had so many Thoroughbred Digest episodes that I skipped over. I use to love that show with Chris Lincoln. Didnt realize that there was any interest in them. I will see what I can do!
