Fun fact, the wig shop Swallowtail is a real shop in Japan that the author asked if they could include them in the manga cause they helped out a lot with info for the writing of the story.
For that matter, lots of the details about cosplay are actually pretty accurate to the craft!

I like how Marin's friends don't think anything about her talking to Gojo. It's just people that aren't her friends being jerks.

Marin chooses her friends wisely. They wouldn't be her friends if they would judge people superficially from their looks only, and they know that if Marin is close with him he must be a good guy.
I wouldn't say that people are even being jerks at all. It's more that gossip is running around because these two who have never dated anyone are spending time together so people are surprised but there's nothing malicious about it.
Manga Spoiler:
When Gojo ends up making a costume for Marin for the school festival, most of the class is fascinated and impressed with his skills and think him becoming a doll maker is seriously impressive. Gojo had developed a habit of filtering everything through his experience with the little girl from the first episode. Other than a couple of jerks who took advantage of his niceness very few people actually gave him any real reason to feel ostracized.
I also like how they were not mean to him, but also making sure Marin not the one being the issue there.
@@senhowler The costume that Gojo created for the school festival was the most impressive to me. Mainly because he had to use every technique at his disposal to complete it. Not only that, but the transformation Marin went through was also fantastic. To me, that cosplay is Gojo's masterpiece.
It's really nice how the show speed-runs the "I must avoid you in public to not ruin your reputation" bit.
Stuff like that in anime usually last only 1-2 episodes anyway. This took half an episode. Pretty fast but not abnormal.

MASSIVE MANGA SPOILERS:
Now that they've gotten together in the manga in expecting him to try the classic "let's keep our relationship a secret" trope only for her to shut that shit down immediately by saying, "Fuck that, I'm telling everyone you're my boyfriend. I will literally scream it from the rooftops."

@@jackclark4413 It'll be a combination of that and, "Kitagawa sure is lucky to have a guy like Gojo." Considering all of their classmates know what a trainwreck she actually is, Wakana will be the only person thinking he's the lucky one.

3:57 Insecurity is one hell of a thing. We can see just how much it affected Wakana, hearing people gossip about him and Marin, how it would be a "bad" thing for her to be with him.
5:20 one of the best parts of this episode - Marin confronting him and dispelling his doubts - exactly what Wakana needs, reassurance.
10:20 you know they're passionate about the topic and deep into conversation. Everyone else around them is scandalized 😂

One of my fav scenes in this episode is Marin is so desperate to find him that she just yells for him in the gym lol. As if he'd be there, but that's a last resort. She's so adorable.
Honestly, the JP voice actress completely nailed that line, 100%.

The english dub of this episode has a lot of cute moments, like at the end when Marin says "I just wanted to thank you" she says in english "I appreciate you, okay? Thank you Gojou".
Her dub voice is Amalee who is famous on youtube for singing anime songs, and vtubing under the name Monarch. She conveys Marin's personality very well
Yeah, this is one of the animes that actually has a good English dub.

Both dub Gojo and Marin are absolutely GOATed

I love this episode, Marin and Gojo were so Cute with eachother, and I love how Marin is so Kind and understanding with him🥰
